Check this out! New Uncharted 4 trailer. Choices?
At the start it's just a regular cutscene but then something happens and it's suddenly a really cool idea that I never thought Naughty Dog would do.
A Dialogue tree? Is this going to be a choice based Uncharted game? That's crazy! It's also a pretty cool meta thing where ND are asking players on what was the "best part"
I'm really looking forward to this.

Well, that's... actually pretty cool :P I really didn't see that coming.
I'm a bit nervous about this. For one, it could muddle up the game's dialogue and take focus away from the action adventure mechanics; on the other hand, it could be really underutilized in the game so that it feels pointless in the cumulative product.
They are going to have to walk a very thin tightrope on the execution of this, as it could end up fucking up pretty badly and ultimately reflecting in the reception the game receives.
Possibly, we'll just see how it goes but I actually think this gives the game's interactivity some variety and truth be told there's not much to the core action adventure mechanics so it's not a bad idea to have some agency in how a dialogue scene plays out especially in the fourth game. Uncharted has always been about playing an action film except mostly in action scenes so I feel this might help elevate the game and make it stand out above the other Uncharteds cause that was the problem with U3, aside from multiplayer and a couple of new moves the game didn't really feel much like a true sequel like U2 as far as mechanics and general feel goes, it essentially was just another U2 except rougher in a few spots.
i dont think its really gonna be a choices and consequences type of mechanic. i just think its gonna be like "hey there gonna be references to tthe past events, just choose which ones you rather talk about" i dont think its gonna be like the witcher 3 or mass effect. hell i dont think its even gonna be like TT choices.
OMG IM SO HYPED!!!
It is just going to be like Left Behind. It won't change the plot at all and will be completely inconsequential.
Nolan North and Troy Baker. August and Rhys. Heh.
Man, oh man, I hope they do this right. It'd be cool if they could pull this off.
Good points. I do feel this might freshen the series up and make it stand alone from its predecessors, which was my biggest complaint with Uncharted 3 as it just seemed to be U2 but not as enjoyable.
You don't really know that. Of course, it might actually not really change the story but it'll be a nice bit of interactivity to make the game stand out a bit.
When you've played the past 3 Uncharted games and really want to play Uncharted 4 but realize you need to buy a PlayStation 4 just to play 1 game
Yeah I enjoyed those bits in Left Behind. I hope Naughty Dog continue to tell the story though. At the end of the last of us if they gave us the decision what to do with Ellie it would never have stood out too me as much as it did.
That's why I will never buy a Playstation 4.
The way I figure it is this, why should I spend hundreds of dollars on a gaming system, just so I can play one $60 video game?
It doesn't make any sense!
My money can be spent on other things.
Better things!
Eh, Ill probably end up buying a ps4 just for Uncharted 4, maybe get the Drake Collection Edition and replay all 3 before 4 comes out
It should be like Fallout 4 except;

Because that's Drake in a nutshell, isn't it?
Was that dialogue option a one time thing or will it be part of the game?
A part of the game, not so big though. Playstation Access made an interview with a Naughty Dog emplyee about the dialogue options, if ya want you can check it out on their Youtube channel.
