Do it! People usually associate a person with their avatar, so that's why I feel so disoriented when someone changes it.

A large percentage of my family is from Sweden and Northern Germany prior to moving to the US, and nearly every male in my family has blue eyes. Mine are I guess technically blue, but they look more gray.
I have a friend who is the same age as you and I, but he looks 12. People always mistake him for a little kid and ask him what grade he's in. The lucky bastard can grow a full beard now though, so now he looks like a 12 year old with a full beard.
That's a good attitude to have. I'd say about 50% of people never notice I have a vision problem and the other 50% think I'm high or shifty-eyed because of how they move around.
I don't judge people based on their appearances, and as a result I tend to overlook small things like a lazy eye or crooked teeth that other… more people might kick up a big fuss over. I don't think it's fair to form an opinion on a person based on things they can't control. I care more about what you have to say than how you look when saying it.
Not to say I'm perfect and never judge people based on petty things, but I think everyone does. I just try to make a conscious effort not to be an asshole over things that really aren't important in the grand scheme of things.

Yeah Java used to love being held like that, unlike most cats. Unfortunately, she's gotten arthritic and cranky over the last year. If I tried that today, I'd get shredded.
My cat used to sit on my shoulder like a parrot and I'd walk around and he'd just chill there. Now I'd fear for my life trying that, because I'd definitely get shredded. He's too big now lol.

Actually I rarely meet people that have blue eyes. So I suspect that only a few here have blue eyes (probably most of them have brown or black).
