Movie scenes that have made you cry/nearly cry
as the title says
For me it was either 'Superman...' from the Iron Giant, or 'My friends...you bow to no one.' in Return of the King

The lion king.. Just because.
well im a sucker for animals sooo... marley and me, hachi. i dont want to remember more because i cri...
the ending for The Road makes me choke up in the end. life is beautiful.
I didn't come close to crying, but the ending to Gallipoli left it's mark on me, since it accurately reflects how the ANZACs would climb out of the trench to charge only to be cut down by machine gun fire.
This movie. Made me cry. So hard.
The movie that made me cry a lot when I was a kid and still makes my heart feeling bad, it is the scene in Cast Away where Tom Hank's character lost Wilson the Volleyball.
By the appearance, it Should be silly and ridiculous, but thanks to Tom Hank's performances and the character and by extension the audience forming a bond with the volleyball, it is just so tearjerking...
a few animes have made me feel tears but not cried yet
Life is Beautiful (Beautifully sad ending)

Forrest Gump (Wasn't remotely sad over Jenny btw)

Raging Bull (Successful man becoming a failure)

Armageddon (Man tears)

Boyz n the Hood

And a scene from Straight Outta Compton that I can't find.
That's definitely a good one.
Man that movie made one tear drop from my eye...I love dogs.
Bridge to Terabithia. If you remember the movie you know which part. . .
Do TV shows count, because there's a particular scene in the game of thrones season 5 finale that made me cry because NO MOVIE/SHOW HAS EVER MADE ME CRY DAMMIT.
A particular scene with an arrow in The Hunger Games made me cry and the reminder of that scene in Catching Fire made me cry again...
You mean every part?
Some scene in the movie called "Milo and Otis", can't remember which scene since it's almost been over a decade the last time I watched it.
There's only one I can think of in recent memory, and that's Inside Out. Twice. I don't wanna say anything, but I definitely recommend it.
The most recently I cried was yesterday, while watching Doctor Who. Boy oh boy is "Father's Day" a sad episode!
Shit..

This may be an unpopular opinion, but this is the only scene in a movie that made me cry with actual tears, mainly because of how unpredictable it was and the amazing performance as well.
Titanic; Jack's death, of course. And the ending scene in T2: Judgement Day.
that was so unexpected man
Nah, fiction can't make me cry.
The beginning of Up always gets me.

I have never cried at a movie but i thought the end of The Green Mile was sad.
Which season is father's day in?
Oh dear Jesus I cried buckets at this..
Yep, I definitely didn't see it coming. To this day that movie has left an impression. The actor was brilliant in the scenes after the tragedy as well, very believable.
when thor sacrificed himself so that emma swan could give birth to captain kirk, if it weren't for that scene i would probably have a much lower opinion of the new star trek films

The ending of Turner and Hooch.
Everytime. ;_;
Not really. Most of the movie tells the story of an outcast making friends with a like-minded, more confident version of himself. I'd say it's mostly an uplifting story until. . .
Shit..that scene ripped my guts apart ;_;
I'm so happy somebody finally posted clips of Fly Away Home and of my favorite moments as well.
Amy loses her Mom in a car accident and has to go live with her Dad on the other side of the world who she hasn't seen him since she was little. She finds some abandoned goose eggs near their farm, becomes the mother of the orphaned geese, and her Dad later teaches her to fly an ultralight so they can both fly the geese south to a bird sanctuary on the threat of closure for housing development.
In the clip below, the Dad's plane goes down, injuring himself and Amy has to fly the rest of the way by herself, but he gives her this talk that's really hits me in the feels. The tune is one that plays earlier in the film when Amy is remembering her Mom pushing her on the tire as a baby, and the camera shot leaves an empty space beside her, as if really going along with what the Dad is saying that her Mom is with her.

This later leads to the end of the film where Amy and the geese reach their destination, and the song from the beginning of the film to play when Amy and her Mom were together right before car crash plays once again. After seeing Amy go through losing her Mom, then becoming a mother to the geese and rekindling a bond with her Dad and his friends, I don't think there's ever been a time where I've gotten to this part at end of the long journey, and I've not shed tears.

There needs to be more films like this out there, seriously. Some versions of the DVD art just don't do it justice.
I hear that's the most notorious one.
Do musicals count? Then the fall of the barricade scene and Valjean's death from Les Miserables.
The end of Hachi: a dog's tale
When I was a kid, Mufasa's death got to me. Now? John Coffey's execution in Green Mile. Good Lord, that scene is so fucking sad.

Another is from This is England. Now, I shouldn't feel bad for a racist after he beats up a man of different color, but the way he comes to the realization of his awful actions got to me. We could clearly see how much he regrets what he has done, and attempted to make it right in the end.
