If you save gabriel before went to nether (ep1), then when you finish ep3, in episode 4 "next time" title will show you escort petra and the rest of gang. Then the next scenes show gabriel died. This show that maybe petra cured from wither sickness, but gabriel not
If you save petra at ep1, then when you finish episode 3, ep4 "next time" title show you escort gabriel and the rest of gang. And on the next scene, it showing petra died. This show that maybe gabriel cured but petra not.
When the last scene of "next time" title shows up, it showing only 4 (jesse, olivia, axel, and reuben), that means maybe the rest of gang is do a split up to find the command block buster for witherstorm and you become distractions before the rest of gang bring the command block buster.
I dont know much... maybe the witherstorm completely killed or failed again. Just patience
Yep, it has to be. We can also see the EnderDragon flying at the background. So it definitely is their journey to kill the EnderDragon, which was told at the beginning of the game, but without lies.
Actually the latter are: You see the one that you saved in ep.1 fall on ground, presumably dead.
Maybe the one that haves the amnesia dies during the run... cause is in a frickin advanced state of sickness compared to the saved one and maybe to save him/her is too late.
Also about untangle the rivalry between Soren and Ivor, maybe after doing it, one of them tells you the real story (Idk why, but i feel like Ivor will explain all)
My guess is it's not a flashback, but happens the end of the episode, and, they're fighting it, and there's a flashback shot, where they are all in the end or, something, (I don't know it's impossible to word what i'm thinking.) And 5he reason it shows magnus or ellegard, is becase they're not both alive. (Killing grammer. One word at time a.) But in the actual scene there is only one of them, and the picture shows both to make the look better...? I don't know, but it worked when it was in my head.

In this screenshot for episode 4, they saved Gabriel because Petra has red eyes. You can see they're at least alive on the escape from the wither storm, so they aren't confirmed dead yet. He could have merely passed out instead of dying on the Next Time preview. Also, it appears whoever you didnt save is also infected with the Wither Sickness, you can see some of it on their arm in episode 3.
I'm actually curious to see how they will go in the Far Lands (The chapter 2 of EP.4 is also called "In a Land Far Away". The first one is called " Dramatic Timing". And actually, my theory of the return of Petra/Gabriel was in the chapter 4: "From the Jaws Of Defeat". This hints something. Surely.)

Seems like all will go well, but Gabriel and Petra both have the wither sickness although one is more advanced a single cure will work in bith cases so in episode 4 I think that a cure will be discovered only distributable to either Gabriel or Petra one must die!

The farlands is a glitched place in the Overworld once you get to an extreme distance from spawnpoint. It looks messed up. But I love the fact that there's going to be farlands in the game.
