What is your 2015 Game of the Year? [Poll]
What the title says.
Im curious on what everyone here's "Game of the Year" was.
I also decided to make a poll with 20 of the most popular or critically acclaimed games this year. However, I did not include any Telltale games or Life is Strange on the poll because of the obvious bias.
Anyway, here is the poll!

For me, Fallout 4 was disappointing, all the others were unremarkable, and I never played the Witcher, so for me:
UNTILDAWN
So memorable and unique. I played it start to finish in one sitting, I couldn't stop, and even now it's as fresh in my mind as the day I completed it months ago.
Plus games like Until Dawn, Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls, Life is Strange and obviously Telltale Games are my favourite kind... So I'd like them to get all the recognition they can (and deserve)

Anyway, I'm currently liking Lighting Returns - Final Fantasy XIII...
So... from low budget releases: Undertale.
High budget releases: Lightning Returns...
Western like RPG games have not been much of my thing.

I've got a new opinion on the matter. Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is FUCKING AWESOME. It's in my top 3.

Xenoblade Chronicles X is my GOTY, but it doesn't seem to be on the poll. Tales From The Borderlands (counting this as 2015 because all eps besides 1 came in 2015) and Yoshi's Woolly World are my 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Rise Of The Tomb Raider is my GOTY as everyone probably knows by now. With runner ups being Witcher 3 and Life Is Strange
King's Quest.
Witcher 3 GOTY and Metal Gear Solid 5 being a really close second
For me it is the Witcher 3. But if I have my way, it is tied with Tales from the Borderlands. Both games made me feel a lot of emotions.

Bloodborne. It's such a "feel good" game.
Fallout 4. It's not perfect but it's still pretty amazing.
Tales from the Borderlands, close runner up is Witcher 3 (this list is based on how much I enjoyed playing a game, not necessarily the best)

How Fallout is slightly ahead is baffling. Bethesda games are overrated, and The Witcher 3 is a far superior game in story, gameplay, and just overall polish. The Witcher 3 is the best RPG released in the last few years.

I would probably have named Life is Strange as my favorite high budget release but... EP5 was a rush job and they didn't take a risk to fund it properly.

Apparently I'm behind the times. I've only played two of those games.
Of the list: Fallout 4
Off the list: TFTBL, LIS, Resident Evil Revelations 2, MC:SM.
From this list, I guess my GOTY would be Rocket League? Not on the list would be the iOS game The Room Three. That game was incredible.
Well, from 2015 I played only like 4 games from which only Arkham Knight is not Telltale/LiS. And Arkham Knight is imo not GotY material, so I guess I'll just pass. :P
But if I could I'd give GotY to TftB.
I played Rocket League one time (if only it could run on my PC, though
) and I really liked it. I would have Until Dawn as my GOTY but it was good but not great for me... also I didn't play it, so... :P
But if you included Telltale games on your list, my Telltale GOTY would be Game of Thrones.
The Witcher 3 by leaps, bounds, and helicopter rides. Phenomenal story, deep characters, expansive and beautiful world, fun game play mechanics, a hell of a lot to do in the world, and, again, amazing characters. The Witcher 3 doesn't only win GOTY in my book. . . it shits on the other contestants and then rubs it in while laughing maniacally.
Undertale. I haven't played any of the AAA games on that list and probably never will since my PC can't run them, but judging from the gameplay they aren't nearly as good as this masterpiece.
i know i said it already but THE WITCHER 3 IS GAME OF THE YEAR! I SAID IT before really playing much of the DLC but now that ive play more of it i can definitively say ITS GOTY. I know its a DLC, but it came out in 2015 and its the witcher. GODDAMN ITS TOO GOOD.
