We are all just messing around, Peanut! I was joking too
(Btw, you should my eyes going 5 cm wide when I saw real people fanfiction on ao3.... What, people, are you serious?)
Well, I think I was not quite correct. Because we a much wider variety of swears, there are ones absolutely obscene (''mat"), and mild ones that I do use sometimes. It is you who is angel, not me, after all
Yeah, I would personally recommend sticking with something like a Skype group as others recommended - unless, of course, you are aiming for an 18+ gathering with people who can all fully manage themselves if something goes wrong. Of course, that's not to say that being under 18 means you are incompetent at camping. That being said, there's a big difference between camping with people you know beforehand in real life in an area you know, and meeting up with people you've only recently talked to beforehand in an area only a few people would know. Not only would it be easier to manage people from different areas trying to meet up online, but it would also be safer. Even if you have people meet up in a Skype group before meeting up in real life, some unwanted people could still crash the party when you guys finally meet in person.
I would save real life meet ups for the people you've already known for a good while, or at public events with other people around.
Of course I'm talking about her
You just have to be so self-not-centered, uh, uh? You know you're responsible for it too.
Gosh, we three are spamming the new thread again

Wouldn't work. Don't know each other well enough, putting this on a public forum would get idiots to crash the thing, and everyone lives in different areas of the world.
These are both fairs points and holy exclamations, almost 50 replies to back too.......I honestly did not think people would be interested in this thread that much, then I saw it was mostly you, @Mawula, and @Kennybadger
The one thing is that this does imply everyone getting involved would be adults, because otherwise you would need someone to be actually given written permission by the parents to supervise those under 18 and to be honest don't want to have to worry about those technicalities and stuff.
YOU NEED TO PLAY MASS EFFECT SERIES (except first one is painfully slow gameplay wise and reused basically same story from Knights of Old Republic, and 3 had poopy ending, BUT IT STILL IS MY SECOND FAVORITE VIDEO GAME FRANCHISE OUT THERE, with of course Borderlands being number 1)

Well for what you said about age, I thought I was kind of implying that because minors would need parents to sign a form to give someone the right to supervise them and I don't want to get caught up in technicalities and it just would be a mess.
Countries, unfortunately this idea isn't convenient for those not in US.
The other stuff you said, well this was not going to be a place to finalize plans, this thread is more I guess to test waters and see. I had/still have no real idea how people would react to this idea. But I appreciate your thoughts.

But this pillow fort idea, lol, would be funny. Could work perfectly for me cause I technically can set up a bunk bed to really close it off.
And I was thinking to myself, and several people have said here, that people actually interested should skype to actually get to the others than just a profile pic and text. Cause like to be a bit necessary cynical, there is no way to prove that anyone is the selfie they posted of themselves through that way. Also, even with the skype there still is no definitive way to prove that everyone is who the claim to be. I try to be optimistic and believe that most here are normal, kind, and fun loving nerds with no malicious background or intentions, but it does still drift through my mind.
Well that there is a real fear in the back of my mind when making this. But I made this thread to just see if anyone would be interested, not to actually plan it. And yeah people from different countries is a real bummer I thought about from the beginning. But crashers, the planning wouldn't be public but there are a lot of ways I could think of that unwanted people could still slip in, so yeah, that's another thing that I'm hesitant about. It's too easy to fake who you are and even with using skype, you still don't entirely know a person like in everyday life, so there is a definent risk with attempting this, but everything in life is a risk and sometimes you do gotta go out of your safety zone to live a little. But don't think I am not thinking about(and have not thought about) all those things you just mentioned.
Also this isn't a spur of the moment, let's go tomorrow thing, this is an idea that I can only see working with many months of planning and prepping, which would hopefully weed out those issues.
Wouldn't work. Don't know each other well enough, putting this on a public forum would get idiots to crash the thing, and everyone lives in different areas of the world.
YOU'RE CONVINCING ME TO MAYBE GET IT FOR MYSELF FOR CHRISTMAS. It's between that or the Master Chief Collection...
I am totally down for a pillow fort, virtual campout. Count me in!
I'd love to skype and voice chat with people! I'm kinda weird when it comes to meeting people online and I get super excited about meeting "face-to-face." I just think it's cool to meet people from all over.
And trust me, I have the same kind of thoughts. I'd like to think that we're all honest, but you can honestly never be too careful.
You need to, you don't even know it!!!!!!

For the ME vs Halo dilemma, MASS EFFECT FTW (but then again, I never liked Halo so :P, parents didn't let me have it as a kid when I was really wanting it but when I started buying my own games, it came off as very generic (same for COD) compared to things like TF2 and Borderlands and Battlefront)
The idea does excite but also gets me nervous (skyping) Eryka had tried to get me to join it earlier and I was really reserved. It's a bad combo of being cynical and pessimist in these situations, which I try not to be but sometimes I can't help it. I'm like what if they're just creeps, what if I like them but they think I'm a creep?!?!?!?!

I typically only do when I'm significantly irritated.
Huh. That's interesting. But I can kind of understand that.
but...but
We are all just messing around, Peanut! I was joking too
(Btw, you should my eyes going 5 cm wide when I saw real people fanfiction on ao3.... What, people, are you serious?)
Yeah..........the real-person fanfic is kinda...odd.
But hey, whatever floats your boat, I guess. I'll just stick to Rhyiona. And occasionally Halo.
But that's meant to say I changed my mind due to all of you, wonderful Americans
Don't you like Dragon Age?
She must be talking about you, Peanut.
Yeah not going to do that, sorry.

Never played it.
Pff, why WOULDN'T she be talking about me? I'm fabulous.
I knew it.
I do it, because it drives you crazy. XD!!! I know.
Jeez, this becoming habit.
A pity. For me it is one of the best universes (and you can construct your own Elven there too! language freak sqeual)
Ah well. Your loss, I suppose!
You are
We're The Three Spameteers.
....that sounded a lot better in my head.
Yeah, you're right, I was the angel...
Not saying I wouldn't like to play it. I'll put it on my wishlist, along with Mass Effect.
I have played, and enjoyed, Neverwinter Nights, however.
Thats why I said it, your freaking awesome. It's why I talk to you so much.
It will haunt me, but I'll suffer though it
Idk, I kind of like it.
aww you guys....stop it...also....
let's stop filling up the thread. i'll make a group PM for the three of us, lol.

OMG that's a brilliant idea, but I'd have to wait after the holidays
I can do that

I'VE HEARD GREAT THINGS ABOUT MASS EFFECT SO YES I WILL DEFINITELY PLAY IT.
sometime

OOH. NO.
Call us.....

I didn't know you wanted to join! I would have invited you! We're just talking about pianos and Dungeons and Dragons and Rhys and stuff.

I am not saying that people here cannot be trusted, but I think that it's best to communicate through Skype or something.
Note that this thread is publicly accessible by the Internet and we never know who views this.
But I am not the one to stop any of you to go camping with other forum users since it is a great way of having new friends.
I guess safety is the priority in this situation.
