German and English and for learning German and understand it a little: Diese Community ist fantastisch :D

  • Swiss German it is! And maybe some Italian on the side. .

Depends on the region. Western Swiss speak French, Northern/Eastern Swiss speak Swiss German and Southern Swiss speak Italian. There's also pockets of Rumantsch speakers throughout, but the language is fading into obscurity.

  • Problem is that German isn't called "Deutsch" in English. So, no actual confusion there.

  • I know, but people can get confused, I saw people saying 'Deutsch' not 'German'. I just wanted to make sure that he knows what he's saying.

  • Good thing they can't be confused in German, since Dutch in German is "Niederlandisch".

Just a guess, never actively tried to learn their language outside of hearing it in some games and other random stuff.

  • My main language is English, and my 2nd is Portuguese. And i know a little Spanish since is similar to Portuguese.

  • If I may ask, how did you learn Portuguese? Most people tend to learn only Spanish.

Looking up words. Talking to Brazillian people. Those kinda things. Sometimes is hard to understand Brazillian people, because they talk so fast. But i think i understand quite well. I guess i like to understand another language instead of the one that most people learn like Spanish.

Haha, that's funny cause brazilians tend to think that of Americans. I guess it depends on your accent and etc. It's great that you're learning Portuguese, it's a nice language but people are usually not that interested in it.
