Playable characters in S2

edited January 2016 in Game Of Thrones

Who do you think will be playable character in the 2nd season? Imo possibilities are: Asher/Rodrik Forrester, Mira Forrester, Ryon Forrester, Beskha the basilisk, Malcom Branfield, Talia Forrester, Gared Tuttle, Josera Snow, Elsera Snow, Ebbert Whitehill, Torrhen and someone new. Thoughts please.

  • Whitehill character (Torhen as my main bet), Asher/Rodrik or Talia, new character, Gared, and Malcolm or Beskha.

  • I'm thinking Ryon and Talia will be playable for the whole season but, Rodrik/Asher will die because of their wounds. At the end of the battle of Ironrath their injuries are identical.

No, both dying by their wounds will ruin their development.

  • Yeah, I don't see them dying either, at least not right away or anytime soon.

    Most likely they become NPC.

  • I don't see us playing as Beshka or Malcolm, since they already have established personalities. Thorren Whitehill, maybe, though they're gonna have to work on making him likable, so the player doesn't screw House Whitehill over at every turn.

  • Why a Whitehill? Sorry I just wanna know because they are sort of evil.

Whitehill character (Torhen as my main bet), Asher/Rodrik or Talia, new character, Gared, and Malcolm or Beskha.

  • It would be interesting to play as someone from the other side. It would be interesting to know what is going on while our other protagonists go into hiding

  • Asher/Rodrik, Mira/Tom, Ryon, Malcolm, and Gared.

  • Probably

    Asher/Rodrik
    Mira (Determinant)
    Gared
    Possibly a Whitehill.

  • I actually like this idea. Although I'm sure the Whitehills will need to keep some secrets from us for plot purpose.

  • I'd actually bet on Ebbert as the whitehill character. I would love to see into the Citadel.

If Asher/Rodrik dies soon after their whole epic get away survival at the end of the final episode would be pointless if not just to purposely let people down. Realistically there's a good chance Asher/Rodrik isn't bouncing back..

Every playable character had personalities/chacter built. I think they are possible because they have good character and no matter who we play we see their personality through our decisions.

I really hope they continue to do something with Mira. Would be a waste to kill her off because of a stupid understanding (Lannister captain guard assassin). Especially when you can choose to not kill him, and run.

Probably Asher/Rodrik Mira (Determinant) Gared Possibly a Whitehill.

  • 1. Malcolm, seriously, he has to be playable in Season 2.

    2. Ryon/Beskha. I don't really want to play as Beskha, not because I don't like her (I love her), but she has already established personality and being a PoV could make her boring. (like Clementine in Season 2 of TWD for some people)

    3. Gared. I doubt TellTale would let us play as Warg (Josera) or someone who controls magic warriors and uses Bloodmagic (Elsera).

    4. Mira, I think she will have some minor role in S2. (like escaping Morgryn or something, dunno)

    5. Talia, Rodrik/Asher. We will probably play as Rodrik/Asher in first episode and then we will play rest of the episodes as Talia.

    6. Someone from house Glenmore/Whitehill, I have no idea who tho. (Maybe Torrhen for Whitehill PoV and Elaena's sister/brother for Glenmore PoV?)

    1. The surviving brother. I mean, come on, what is the point of keeping him alive just so he can die from his wounds shortly after?
    2. Ryon. No playable Beskha, please, I love her, but if she becomes playable it is going to ruin her as a character.
    3. Gared, obviously.
    4. Macolm, though I'm 50/50 about him. It depends on where Daenerys' plotline will go in the show.
    5. I highly doubt that we are going to get a non-Forrester playable character, but if we do, Ebbert is my biggest bet. It can't be Gwyn, by obvious reasons, and making Torrhen playable would be too difficult, since they'd have to make two separate plotlines for him - with Ludd alive and Torrhen ruling Ironrath, and with Gryff alive and Torrhen ruling Highpoint.
    6. If the surviving brother eventually bites the dust or Talia gets separated from him, there is a chance of her becoming playable. If it didn't mean Rodrik's/Asher's ultimate death, I'd love it, I want to be able to control where Talia's potential as a character will go, but I doubt that tellatle will go through with it, to let her personality develop regardless of player's choices.
  • My top 5:

    1. Talia
    2. Talia
    3. Talia
    4. Talia
    5. Talia
  • I could see there being 4 POV not 5 because yes there was 5 in Season 1 but there was never 5 at any one time. Episode 1 was three, episode 2,3,4,5 was four and episode 6 was three. So at a maximum I could see there being 4 POV.

I think they will be Asher/Rodrik or Talia, Gared, Beskha as I don't think we would play as Ryon and Malcolm.

I know a lot of people want to play as a Whitehill and I admit it would be quite interesting. But I see a dark future for us if we play as Whitehill. I could imagine there being threads like 'Forrester or Whitehill. Which side or you on?' I see flame wars on those threads. I can imagine our forum becoming more toxic than the TWD section. I can see hate, I can see sides, I can see people leaving us because it has become too much and member after member getting Ben as their avatar, aka banned... I see a dark place, a place where if you battle on you are just more likely to never make it back.

Or you know, it could be peaceful. Everyone has there side and they like that side and there is no war. I could imagine if we played as a Whitehill that Telltale would make us feel sorry for the Whitehills and make us hate the Forresters or something like that. :P

  • The interesting thing is that gryff is not the lord no matter what choice you make, if he does, than I am pretty sure ludd will be training throhen in season 2 and ludd will probably give thorhen ironrath and ludd will still have high point, but let's talk about gryff and thorhen. we see gryffwalk into ironrath with loyalty and acting like a king, but thorhen is the king, we could see a war between gryff and throhen, they hated each other as children.

  • I imagine it'd probably be Gared, Talia, Beskha and.... well, who say's it has to be more than three? I guess if they still want us to see pretty much everywhere, Malcolm would be our best bet. Still find it strange how he's forced to stay behind.

    • Malcolm in Essos

    • Gared beyond the Wall

    • Asher/Rodrik with Talia and Trentinel/Gwyn

    • Beskha with Ryon

    • Potentially Sera in King's Landing (but not really sure about KL)

  • Trentinel

    ...I have no words.

    * Malcolm in Essos * Gared beyond the Wall * Asher/Rodrik with Talia and Trentinel/Gwyn * Beskha with Ryon * Potentially Sera in King's Landing (but not really sure about KL)

  • "but she has already established personality and being a PoV could make her boring."

Even if she has an established personality she could still be fun to play as. For example Rhys in Tales from the Borderlands already had an established personality and he was fun to play as for many people.

    1. Malcolm, seriously, he has to be playable in Season 2. 2. Ryon/Beskha. I don't really want to play as Beskha, not because I don't like

  • It doesn't seem far fetched to me that Josera or Elsera could be playable characters. Although I really don't think Elsera will because of her personality and yes power over blood magic.

  • I believe Talia's personality is not that well developed yet. She sings, and she has the same morals as her kin but there is plenty to do with her as a character. This is why I believe she has a strong possibility of becoming a playable character; especially if we cannot play Asher/Rodrik because Talia was the 1 remaining constant in every ending.

  • Gryff's character was only to push the Forresters. Outside that his character didn't make much sense other than him having something to prove as a 4th born..

  • I would find it weird playing as Malcom or Beskha because of either of them having the huge burn on them because of the choice we make as a different character before.

  • Yes I agree. I think it would be interesting to see Mira and Morgryn try to outwit each other. I think it would also be a good way for Mira to learn and hone her game.

  • I don't think Mira would have much opportunity to verbal joust with Morgryn since he turns aggressive when made a fool and Mira is more of a prisoner than a wife.

  • Actually, they could solve the Torrhen situation very easily: if Ludd dies, Torrhen rules Highpoint, if Ludd lives, he is executed by Ramsay Snow or someone under Roose's command for the colossal fuckup with the Ironwood he is entirely responsible of, or just desobeying a direct command from him, and Torrhen is installed as Lord of Highpoint. What do you think?

  • Seeing AS they've had four (possible) playable characters with different storylines in every episodes except for episode 1, i'm only going to have five as I can't see how they could leave any of these out, and I can't see how they can fit in any more: Gared, Mira/Tom, Ryon, and Talia. I think Talia is going to die mid-way through the season along with another one of our playable characters, that way ashrick would be stronger and there would still be only five playable characters
But I'm probably wrong about most of this

  • I'm gonna say.

    • Roderick/Asher
    • Mira (If she lives)
    • Beskha
    • Gared
    • Maybe some new character
  • Roderick

    Rodrik*

I just thought I would correct you so you don't make the same mistake again. ^.^

  • My guess:

    Gared

    Rodrik/Asher(only in episode 5 or 6)

    Malcolm

    Beskha/Ryon

    Talia

    Maybe Mira

  • Thank you, now I will remember, It's Rodrick. :)

  • I think Talia, Ryon and Gared will be playable characters for sure as they always survive. I would also like to continue playing as Asher/Rodrik but I think they won't be playable characters anymore, but still present through out the second season.

  • I'd prefer it if they changed perspectives and completely focused on a different house with a mostly completely new cast, keeping maybe only Talia as a Forrester playable character and making the rest of the season 1 cast as side characters (if they survived). House Whitehill (Ebbert, Torrhen, Gwyn and one other character from the household as protagonists), Glenmore (if any of them remain) or even a completely new house not yet explored, like House Ryswell, would make an interesting change to the plot and allow for a more complex and morally ambiguous story like the books and show.
