I will always give George the credit of starting Star Wars, but I will always hate him for giving the Original Trilogy unnecessary and stupid changes...I remember the warm and satisfying conclusion with Old Anakin watching his son and daughter with pride. It made me so happy as a kid.
I pray that Disney or someone recreates the VHS Special Edition Return of the Jedi in DvD or something, because I will gladly buy that.
The prequels aren't just bad when compared to the originals. They are one of the worst movies I've ever seen, right along the side of Batma… moren and Robin and other trash.
And in light of Lucas' reaction to and gutter speak surrounded Star Wars VII, he's pretty much outed himself as a fraud who took credit for other people's phenomenal work in IV and V. I'm sure there's some talent and passion in that man, or there was, once, but he showed none of it in the prequels.
Agreed. The fights in the originals where way less fancy, same goes for the Force Awakens. And it actually makes sense in most cases. In a New Hope, it wouldn't be surprising that Vader and Obi-Wan aren't fighting like they did in Revenge of the Sith, since Obi-Wan is an old man now and Vader is sealed in a suit that is apparently very constricting, so this explains Vader's fighting style in the originals, and Luke doesn't have a whole lot of training with a lightsaber.
Honestly, the fight between Vader and Luke in Return of the Jedi was probably the greatest lightsaber duel in the entire series.
The prequel fights were so heavily choreographed it hurt though. It hardly ever looked like two people trying to kill each other. I'll take … morethe emotion-fueled final battle between Luke and Vader or the pretty much perfect balance that was in The Force Awakens over...whatever the hell this was any day.

I don't like Phantom Menace or Attack of the Clones, but I absolutely love Revenge of the Sith. Revenge of the Sith is actually my favorite Star Wars movie.
Actually The Phantom Menace is probably my favorite movie of the franchise, followed by Return of the Jedi and Force Awakens. Just my opinion. Also I do like and agree with the digital edits made to the originals (I love the Victory Celebration theme instead of Yub Nub, the galaxy celebrating and I literally tear up when I see Hayden as a ghost), and I watched the originals before the prequels if anyone's wondering. I do however agree that Attack of the Clones was the worst one by far.
