I think Larry. I didn't like the guy at the time but looking back I realised he was one of my favourite characters of the series (sure he could be a dick but he had his reasons).

Yes! I couldn't agree more. I thought he was a dick at first to, but now I see it as he was just taking care of his daughter because that's all he had left.....
Right.... So him Punching Lee and leaving Lee to die at the drugstore, even though Lee gave him some medicines to help him stay alive, did he have a reasoning then? Larry is a ass.

Honorable Mention: Carly
Not including the trifecta of Lee Clem and Kenny, I would have to say, Ben. I just love the arc he had, of being someone not capable of accomplishing anything. Then, if you save him, it looks like he's going to redeem himself, but in the end, he just isn't strong enough. And his speech telling Kenny to fuck off was one of my favorites in episode 5.
Not counting the obvious probably Chuck and Carley

I'd argue it isn't even that. He literally gets screwed by chance, nothing else. He showed all signs that he was improving in episode 5. The reason he ended up dying wasn't because of a mistake he made, but because of a completely unrelated accident.
And although it's sad and unfortunate that he died, I actually like the way they did that. This series has always tried to make a point that not everyone gets a hero's death, that not everyone gets a chance to make up for past mistakes and redeem themselves. Sometimes bad things just happen, and there's no real reason for it; nothing to blame it on.
And in all honesty, for the type of story that TWD is telling, subverting the whole redemption trope makes sense. I remember back before episode 5 came out and a bunch of people expected that Ben would find some wild way to redeem himself, and I'm sort of glad that they just played it straight with him. He didn't get a super brave or out of character redemption moment, but he didn't just fuck up yet again and get himself killed, either. He simply died because the world just sucks sometimes. And despite Ben getting such a mundane death, they still found a way to give it meaning (narratively) through Kenny's sacrifice and apparent death.

Don't forget this is the zombie apocalypse, I'd have punched Larry out for Clem so he gets to punch me out for Lilly, desperate times call for desperate measures and the zombie apocalypse definitely qualifies.

Me too, Chuck was awesome.
I liked Christa towards the end of the game but at first, her and Omid just seemed sketchy to me... maybe because of all that happened before, but once she showed her loyalty and love for Omid and clem i started to develop a like for her.
