Who would you pick as the creepiest character in film ever?
My pick would have to be: Viggo Mortensen as Lucifer, from the Film: The Prophecy!
Despite have a wicked-cool hairdo and wardrobe, his mannerisms are just plain creepy.

No Face from the movie Spirited Away.
Dennis Hopper as Frank Booth in Blue Velvet. No doubt.

I'd have to say Mike in "How To Be A Serial Killer."
Played by Dameon Clarke, he hasn't got that old priest type of creepy, he's got that "too perfect" type of creepiness. Considering the man is a serial killer, he obviously leads a double life and in the life that he isn't a serial killer, he's the perfect man. Which gives at least me the creeps.
Thanks Dameon Clarke.
The one and only
Here's Johnny
Anni Wilkes from Misery:
Since I have met a person in real life who reminds quite a lot of Alex DeLarge and I´m telling you, being around a violent sociopath is not fun. Not at all.
Milton Dammers from the film The Frighteners played by Jeffrey Combs.
i always thought Jeffrey Combs would be a great danny st john
No Country For Old Men. The best Coen brothers film I've ever seen.
YES
Definitely Trunchbull from Matilda. It was bad enough that her face looked like Hannibal Lecture on meth and female, and it was even worse that her teeth were just disgusting. But this bitch tried to MURDER to innocent girls because she thought they were rats, she did some fucking evil shit, and it was just horrifying to watch her on screen in an otherwise nice movie. This woman was the most horrifying thing about my childhood, and I fucking beat all 3 Silent Hill games in one night at that point in my life. Even looking up her picture gave me chills and made me want to vomit.
The great Anton Chigurgh!
People already chose the good ones with Anton Chigurh, Alex Delarge, Annie Wilks, and Jack Torrance. For me, the rest would be:
Norman Stansfield (Leon: The Professional)
Private Pyle (Full Metal Jacket) When he starts losing his mind.
Buffalo Bill (The Silence of the Lambs)
Lou Bloom (Nightcrawler)
Gordo (The Gift)
I hate that woman's face.
"What's the most you've ever lost in a coin toss?"
She ruined my childhood love of this film.
nightcrawler is very creepy
Oh man the face he made when strangling that guard in the beginning still gets me
The only correct answer
That baby-spider hybrid toy from Toy Story
that gave me nightmares.
"I just like to watch you guys." )))
k denny
Not a human, but the original xenomorph from Alien is still pretty creepy to this day!
I had to look through this thread so cautiously... because the creepiest character in a movie has like haunted me since I saw it. I swear.. -_-
The devil guy in Insidious, when he pops up behind the dude out of fucking nowhere.
Like seeing a picture of triptophobia (BTW DON'T LOOK THIS UP EITHER) when I see that dude I get light headed and my heart begins to race. UGH. So fucking creepy. Still have issue sleeping because of it...
Even though he isn´t very realistic at all, he sure is creepy I must say..

Bob in Twin Peaks aswell, David Lynch sure know how to create disturbing people in his works!

The Horned King from The Black Cauldron is also frightening I must say!

And Frollo, when it comes to family entertainment, this man is evil personified.

Norman Bates. If you haven't seen Psycho, you really really should.
A lot of good answers already in here, I'll just add one I didn't see mentioned.
John Doe from Seven. Kevin Spacey as a serial killer.
I loved Spacey's intro.
"DETECTIIIIIVEE! Looking for me?"
Even though the bad buy in Oldboy, Lee Woo-Jin doesn´t use a lot of violence he´s still one ice cold sadist, a 110% psychopath, simple. He reminds me a lot of Frollo in some way I´ve never figured out.
