2015 was infamous for the numerous mass shootings done in America. This video shows the locations and deaths at each over the course of the entire year.
367 people killed and 1317 people injured in all of the attacks last year. A true year in remembrance.

Most likely as that's how these usually go. I hope this doesn't get out of hand, I created this thread with the intention of showing the frightening scale of mass gun violence in America.

Not going to stop till tighter restrictions. Just saying, it's basic math. Less guns, less shootings, less deaths.

I agree but I think better restrictions is just the beginning. We need better mental health help for the mentally ill so they can't easily get their hands on weapons and actually get help for their issues.
This is a multi step solution, it isn't as simple as "More restrictions= no shootings".
Maybe, hopefully we can get in good discussions before it.
I do agree with you, there is a lot too it, not just restrictions. But a list could go forever, as far as i'm personally concerned, restrictions is the first step.

The US has got a problem with mentally ill people obtaining guns.
I live in a city where there was 19 killings in 6 months, its horrible...

So we are assuming most if not all mass shootings are from people who are mentally ill? Just getting perspective here.
This is nonesense. Everybody knows guns don't kill people.
And by the way anybody who has been forced to see a guidance counselor or a therapist can tell you mental illness is a complete canard. Most psychotherapeutic diagnoses require the cooperation of the patient and even then it is often long term. Even in the case of forensic psychology you're usually talking about evidence collected after the fact with warrent/subpeona. We're just talking about mental illness because we don't want to talk about any sort of logical restriction or even, God forbid, steps to have fewer guns.
Also, how are these psychiatric evaluations going to be done? Usually those evaluations involve you sitting there and talking about your family, your job, and your sex life - yes, we can force people to sit down and divulge their entire lives and that's fine but saying we any sort of restriction on a weapon that easily kills at a distance is a violation of our rights. Good set of priorities America.
Some people would say so, I personally disagree, some of them are but not most.
Mental illness is such a vague, ambiguous thing that it's impossible to know for sure. Mostly though, all this talk of mental illness is just dog-whistle politics being used to shift the focus away from guns.
