For any fellow Smash Brothers fans on here, Bayonetta and Corrin, the final Downloadable Fighters for Smash Brothers WiiU/3DS, are coming later tonight on the eShop. EDIT: The characters are out a little earlier than people expected.
I'm not so sure on Corrin since there are already so many Fire Emblem characters (and Fire Emblem isn't a huge license like Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, etc), but I think Bayonetta could be cool even though they seem like an odd addition to Smash. But, hey, Brawl had Snake, so we've seen weirder choices before.

Really glad Nintendo stuck true to that afternoon release.

Bayonetta is crazy fun to play as from what I've experienced so far on the 3DS version.
Based on my initial impressions, Bayonetta really does feel like she was taken from her games, which is good imo. For the most, I thought Corrin was pretty fun as well. At least he/she actually deserves his/her slot, unlike the clones imo.
Are people saying Corrin doesn't deserve a slot because she's a clone? Her playstyle is completely different from the other Fire Emblem characters. In fact all the FE characters have different playstyles from eachother.
I think what they meant was Corrin was more deserving than Roy/Lucina because those two are clones whereas Corrin is new.
Mostly Dark Pit and Dr. Mario. At least Roy and Luci have some different attributes, and technically Lucina is supposed to be a Marth clone within Awankening. Dr. Mario at least has a different costume, while Dark Pit is pretty much a palette swap. I just feel like they should've gone the Alph route with them. The only thing thing I can think of that could make Alph stand apart from Olimar, would be if he used the rock pikmin and winged pikmin, for example.
I'm pretty sure I have seen some people assuming was Corrin was a Marth clone, but that was before they actually saw any footage of her.
I can understand being annoyed at the large amount of Fire Emblem characters, but it's pretty silly that people thought Corrin was a Marth clone just because he also had a sword. I didn't even know there was a seemingly notable amount of people that viewed that as a legit complaint.
Doc actually has a slower run speed, shorter recovery height and has stronger smashes and attacks compared to Mario, I think only Luci and Dark pit count as ACTUAL clones (even though Marth has tipper on all his attacks and Luci doesn't). And yeah I agree, I think having Luci and Dark Pit as alternate costumes would be better.
I've seen people call Roy a Marth clone so I'm not really surprised tbh.
Also, Doc uses electric attacks instead of fire attacks, and his pills work differently from regular Mario's fireballs. He's actually not as bad as some other characters like Dark Pit.
Like I said, some were saying that before even seeing footage of him/her. Others were indeed annoyed about them adding another FE character. I can understand why they added Corrin, seeing as he/she could help promote FEF's western release, much like Roy was added to promote the (at the time) upcoming GBA FE, back in Melee
Good points about Luci and Doc. I've heard that at some point all 3 of them were alternate costumes. Doc got his slot apparently because Sakurai thought Melee fans would be disappointed was nothing more than a alt costume. Doc was apparently supposed to have his own stage, but it got cut, for some reason, which is a shame. I think I saw more people asking for Lucina to be playable over Chrom, prior to her being revealed, and that along with some different attributes to her character is why I can see why she got her own slot.
Dark Pit, I don't think anyone asked for him, especially considering one of Pit's colour palettes in Brawl looked just like him. Honestly, Magnus, Medusa or Hades would've been better choices insted of Dark Pit, for Kid Icarus rep.
