Possibly, we dont know for sure. The most obvious explanation is that Randal killed them and lied to norma, but i;m hoping its more than that and its a third group or something. Right now neither groups story makes perfect sense.

I sold him. Useless piece of trash had this coming. I had no reason to be rude, except I do know that Norma's group killed a lot of innocent

  • Be rude to norma at every opportunity apart from the two choices with the kid, its more scum baggy to allow the kid to get hit than to get a few more insults in

This a bit unrelated, but kind of. I'm doing a scumbag playthrough of Episode 1, curse at Norma or sell out Greg? Which is more jerk-ish?

  • What did they do you you that was so terrible?

Norma can go fuck herself, took the blame, let Zachary get killed. Monroe is fucking with the wrong people.

  • She seems to be one of the main characters so i doubt it will be till episode 3 where I'm assuming pretty much everyone will be determiant bar the comic group

I am waiting for Sam to die next.

  • Norma did confirm that Randall and his crew are responsible for the massacre, though. She backed it up by saying that the people they killed were scavengers who killed the previous residents of the ferry, so they "gave them a lesson", or something. I'm skeptic about her story.

  • Honestly because I had no attachment to him, which is a problem the first episode had as a whole in my opinion, the story wasn't that effective.

  • Yeah thats the one point that doesn't really make sense, I still think the most obvious explanation is Randal killed them all but I hope there is more than that. He may be a twat but I dont see him killing an entire group over supplies.

I do feel both sides are lying somewhat

  • I kind of feel that was the point you're kind of thrown into this pre-exsisting conflict and have to make some quick decisions how to play it

  • My point was any effective leader has traits like that. I thought that was clear but I guess not. Carver isnt effective either, hes too far the other direction, same as the Governor and alike. However all good leaders share some traits that are necessary

Does it matter that they were terrible leaders? They still don't resemble Carver at all.

  • They slaughtered all the people on the ferry, captured you, assaulted you, and treated you like you were scum.

I mean, I left Greg out to dry, but I sure get people who were less friendly, especially if they went through the window.

What did they do you you that was so terrible?

  • I get people being angry maybe but this guy seems to be bloodthirsty, especially towards Zac. I dont particularly like these people but I can at least understand their actions.

  • Fair enough. I mean that's how I feel about Norma's group. I'm just saying I get the hate for them as well.

  • Yeah I guess, particularly Randall. But Sam was way more irritating to me really, warmed up a bit too her after her brother but still. The fact it seems we are going to be forced to side with her doesnt help

  • I dont think of it as selling him out i just told the truth. Didnt think it would make sense to lie to Norma.

Beside that i think peoples not caring much about Greg is a result of "semigood" writing. When you meet the guy and his sister you should be able to ask them if they are the ones who called for help... resulting in Sam lowering the gun and a short talk between them before Randalls guys show up. It makes no sense that you cant ask that to try and ease the tension.

  • Episode 2 or 3, I can wait.

  • Who do you think is an effective leader? I personally think Maggie, because although I didn't agree with what she did to Gregory, she seems to have kept the Hilltop in great shape during the time-jump.

  • Agreed. Norma's body language threw me off the second time I watched that scene. She never once makes eye contact with Michonne when explaining the scavengers' death, but she does raise her head and make eye contact when saying "we protect people; that's what we do here!".

  • Dem. pretty much summed it up, I don't really like people who beat and kill children but I guess I'm mostly mad at them having so many goddamn boats... brings back some bad memories you know?

while i dont get why you dint take the blame i do agree with you that zachary from what the game has showed until now is a very nice person
which is why i dint let sam kill him

That isn't everyone on Monroe, though. That's Randall and a few people on his crew.

  • I told the truth until he had a gun to his head, then I started saying that I was lying. It doesn't really matter to me if you have or haven't got an attachment to a character, you shouldn't let someone die just because they're a bit of a trainwreck. For all you know you'll end up liking them later on. I generally play my main playthroughs as a heroic character anyway.

On a side-note it seems that Zachary is gonna be the new model of Ben and Nick. Still gonna keep his ass alive as long as possible.

  • Or when you call her out about killing the people on the ferry, and she responds immediately with a defensive "No!"

  • I pretty much said the opposite of what Greg said. I said that we'd just meet them (the truth), and that me and Greg were the only ones (a lie.) I complied up until the point when douche bag supreme had the gun to his head. I then said I lied, because Michonne would obviously not let a kid get his brains blown out. I also let Sam blow Zach's brains out. :)

  • To be honest I just wanted him to tell the freaking truth I didn't trust Samantha or Norma but I can at least understand Norma and why she is pissed not saying she's a good character but I don't think Norma is this big bad person Randall is a jerk but heck even HE isn't all that bad.
I just told the truth to Norma and expected Greg to follow it's his fault for lying I wasn't gonna lie for him for a few reasons:
    1. I don't know him
    2. He lied and pointed a gun at me
    3. His sister tried to steal our stuff
