The Mountains? Or the Beach?

Where would you wanna go for a vacation?

I like the beach, and considering I live more in the country, it's not something I get to see all that often. However when I'm in the Mountains, I feel right at home.

I prefer a mountain or countryside type area than the beach, i am not into swimming in the sea/ocean and i find sandy beaches can be slightly annoying when the sand gets everywhere.

With areas that have mountains or countryside type areas i find them more relaxing and peaceful, i also live fairly closed to some wooded areas which are really nice to walk through in the summer time as you can hear all the birds singing in the trees which can also be relaxing.

  • Neither, why go there when you can just stay indoors.

The beach for sure. Grew up on the coast and still do. Even though I see it a lot taking trips down the Australian coast will never get old.
That being said, mountains have snow, and snow means skiing and snowboarding. So now that I think of it, it's a tough call.

  • Beach, because I'm within walking distance. The mountains are great, but there's none in Florida.

Actually, I think our highest point of elevation might be a landfill.

  • I've lived by both. I like the mountains better.

So on vacation, I'd probably go to some place completely different. How about the desert?

  • I choose the mountains. Especially if the weather is snowing. It's so nice to be warm at home while it snows outside. For a day off, I'd go to the beach.

  • Never been to the mountains before, so I'll say mountains.

  • Probably go to mountains, one thing I really want to do is go to Monte Picchu, plus I lived by the beach my whole life.

  • You've missed something!

  • I don't like walking or climbing. Mountains are boring. Beach without people is the best.

  • How do you get to your fridge?

    Both at the same time

  • I live in West Virginia, there's fucking mountains everywhere. Their beautiful, but it's literally impossible for me to go outside and not see mountains, so I'm a bit more than desensitized to their beauty. I've never been to a beach, though. I've heard from my brothers their amazing, and from what I've seen of them on TV, pictures, and such, they seem nice.

  • Luckily my fridge is not in mountains.

  • Mountains. My phobia prevents me from enjoying the beach, which sucks because I live in Florida and it's ALL beach.

  • beach would generally mean sun, and me and the sun don't get on well so we just avoid each other, so my choice would be mountain.

I've never understood why people love the beach so much. It's really not very appealing to me. I love mountains, though.

Old Devil Anse Hatfield would agree with you.

  • I like the mountains more than beaches.

Beaches has these annoying sand that gets into my clothes which makes it uncomfortable to walk around with. Even a shower wouldn't easily wash the sand off. The choice is also influenced by the fact that I am Thalassophobic

I've been to some mountains and prefer the peaceful and colder climate, plus I get to see some nice views.

  • The beach.

  • Sand is literally the biggest turn off to be honest. I'm not going to deal with getting all that out of my clothes.

  • The mountains, I've hated the beach ever since I was stung by a Weever fish and had to pee on my own foot.

  • That'll piss you off. Lol!
