I live in Canada. The health care doesn't suck, just the waits do.
I also live in the Canadian city with the highest murder rate(2/3 years). I'm fine with it. Up until last year, I was walking home from work in pitch black daily.
9/10 people whom are killed are gang or drug related. Stay out of other people's shit and don't be an idiot and you're fine.
I know. What i meant is that the United Nations has certain requirements to call something a country.
The 'Democratic Republic of Congo',… more for example, is no longer considered an official counter since there is no official government or judicial branch and its mostly run by warlords.
So im not sure if it still qualifies as a country or is now considered a territory.
Yeah you're right. Its just that Syria has been through some horrible s##t lately, what with Bashar al-Assad refusing to step down creating an 'Arab Winter', several revolucionary factions fighting the government and themselves, Isis taking over several parts of it, the capital STILL being on lockdown and nearly half the population fleeing to other countries.
It's still a country, as the government's continues to run normally in the south.
The DRC was only ever held together by Mobuto Sese Seko, now that he's dead you're right, the state has pretty much ceased to exist.
Rojava is in the Kurdish region right? I'm just say, I woudn't risk going there until the Turks have finished their bullshit, and that probably means Erdogan being out of power.

Okay, but this thread isn't about what movement or organization you would like to join, in fact your comment pretty much has nothing to do with this thread's subject.
If anybody here would like to live in Canada, we'll switch places, okay? I don't want that snow anymore....
I would like to live anywhere in Europe but I would prefer France
That's the one. My older brother and I were purposefully getting bad grades by a lot of the staff in our first school. I know this because what English speaking kid gets a D in an English class where you're learning basic English and correcting the teacher's pronunciation half the time (plus that and our grades improving dramatically as soon as we switched schools).
Definitely didn't help that just one bad thing after another kept happening, and usually involved someone just being an a-hole.
The people there?

I live in one of the major cities and our university is supposedly one of the best in the world for medical research, so I feel pretty good about my survival odds.
Until you get a life threatening injury and die because the hospital you're at doesn't have the sufficient equipment to save you.
Free health care may sound good , but it's really a way of putting a gun to your temple.

You would also most likely have to be a researcher, Part of the military or a priest to live there.
It's still a country, as the government's continues to run normally in the south.

Really? I kinda want to study abroad there one day.
Nice see you to bro thanks for the message

A priest? To convert whom? Penguins?
Idk, it's dangerous, but nothing compared to the rest of Syria.
I really hope Turkey doesn't just roll in and crush the revolution. Erdogan is a piece of shit though, so I wouldn't put it past him.
To try and mend the ways of Hitler and the other Nazis camped out at the bottom of the world.
Military people, researchers, etc...... That and to watch over the churchs and moskes.
Sure it does. Far as I'm concerned it's soon to country and a pretty neat one at that. I might like to live there permanently once thing settle down.
You want to live in another country and I want to help build one, so piss off.
Definitely Australia
As an Australian myself, I am curious as to why.
Which part of Canada are you, because I'd be willing to bet I'm living in a colder spot than you. (I'm Northern Labrador)
Quebec (close from Montreal)
I lived in Quebec 2 years ago. The worst three years of my life.
Because of the snow? The people there?

Damn. True assholes.
Yep not a fun few years, especially when the previous place I lived at, I considered it probably the best place I've lived.
Rip mister dojo, I hope you'll find a good place
My new place isn't too bad, just sort of isolated. But I never went outside too much anyway so I barely notice.
Okay lol
I just hope you'll find the perfect place.
Chile might be a cool place to retire.
Either Japan or Scotland
I'd stay here in Australia, but I want a change, and I can't decide between the US or Denmark.
The US because I got friends there and stuff
and Denmark because it's pretty I guess.
