What are your thoughts on ASMR? (+ What is ASMR?)

If you don't know what is ASMR, here's 3 videos that can explain to you what it is. (I took the best videos to describe ASMR)

So, what are your thoughts on it?

I started watching ASMR a few months ago, I found it just like that, and I was wondering what it was. I was actually searching for 3D sounds because it was cool.

I get easily trigerred by certain sounds.

I think ASMR is pretty cool, it helps me sleep at night. I always search "asmr" on youtube and search for certain types on videos who were uploaded today.

It was pretty weird (and still is sometimes) when I started watching those kind of videos, but I started liking it and discover which types of ASMR videos I like.

I personally prefer videos that aren't 100% whispers or the same sound because it gets boring.

I sexually identify as a head orgasm.

  • Just watched the first video and wow this stuff seems creepy as hell. Also unless I missed something the "condition" is finding stuff like that relaxing or stimulating, I dont get how thats a thing or at all relevant.

Also how the heck is it a condition, its a sort of treatment (at the most).

I actually did an ASMR Silent Hill 3 playthrough once since my voice is a bit deep. I love ASMR let's play videos to be honest. It's those kinds of calm and soothing voices that help me sleep. A lot of Cryaotic's videos are a good example.

  • It feels nice when I watch ASMR videos. However, I don't watch them often, not my type of thing.

  • Love them for the most part. I get stressed out and anxious really easily and there's something about them that is so soothing.

  • It's relaxing. I've been listening to it for 2 years now, which desensitized me to the point where I can't get ear-gasms anymore. Bummer.

Do you watch it often? If yes, I heard that if you stop watching ASMR for a certain time the "effects" can come back, just take a break of it.

  • I literally cringed at all the examples presented in the video. Hate whispering and tapping.
