What was your favorite duel in the first six Star Wars movies?
My favorite was definitely Obi Wan vs Anakin and Yoda vs Darth Sidious in Episode 3. Epic soundtrack, the feeling of treachery, just everything was so good. My 2nd favorite would have to be Qui Gon and Obi Wan vs Darth Maul in Episode 1. Epic soundtrack again, and when Qui Gon died, it just created the first steps to Darth Vader. My 3rd favorite would have to be Luke vs Darth Vader in Episode 6. Great dialogue, 2 of my favorite characters in an epic duel to the forced death, and my favorite character (Darth Vader) died .

Probably Darth Maul vs Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon. One of the few worthwhile things from Episode I.
Luke vs. Darth Vader in Episode 5, one of my favorite moments from Star Wars.
"No Luke...I am your father."
Agreed.
I will give you two examples. Return of the Jedi....the 4 best film of the 7...but the duel between Vader and Luke was amazing. No it is not flash like in the prequels...but it had more weight than any of those.
The first Lightsaber duel....Obi Wan Kenobi vs Darth Vader....clunky...not at all flashy. But when Ben let Vader strike him down....that was so important to the entire franchise. That was Kenobi's night in the Garden.
Definitely Luke vs Vader in Return of the Jedi. My favorite moment in the whole series right there, and the entire culmination of the events of the previous five movies!
Shame you said original trilogy, though. I also enjoyed Rey vs Kylo Ren!
The Battle of Geonosis, if that counts otherwise I think it would have to be Yoda vs Darth Sidious.
I liked Episode 7, I'm just waiting for the trilogy to finish, that's all.
Wasn't Yoda vs Count Dooku a duel on Geonosis?
Agreed on both.
Honestly, Kylo Ren and Rey at the end of the new Star Wars. Cinematography was excellent and great acting, the actors showed so much emotion even though the fight was very short and little motivation behind it.
Return of the Jedi's final duel.
None of that eye-rolling over-choreographed nonsense in the prequels. Just raw emotion. That final bit where Luke is just hammering on Vader's lightsaber is one of the best bits of the trilogy.
Also, the music. 1:09...yuss.

Where would Star Wars be without John Williams?
Anakin Skywalker VS Obi-Wan Kenobi
I think basically any duel in the prequels. Yeah, as bad as the prequels are, the lightsaber duels were one of the few things they did better than the original films.
The duels in the prequels are so over blown as to be absolute shite.
I wasn't even surprised because I watched the prequels before the originals
My top 5 fights!
Probably Yoda vs Darth Sidious.
Not only Yoda almost won, Darth Sidious is not as skilled combatant as his fame would probably make them believe. It also further shows his self centered fighting style by not dueling like Jedi and Sith typically duel. He literally runs away while formulating a plan of attack.
His somewhat lackluster Lighthsaber fighting skills etc are further shown in the animated episode where they came very close of finding out who Darth Sidious was.
Hey! We have something else in common.
Nowhere lol.
Obi Wan vs Anakin (Technically Darth Vader) is choreographed af but it's an spectacle to watch. That said,Luke vs Darth Vader in RotJ might be the most meaningful duel in the whole saga. So one of those two.
Favorite? Wedge vs AT-AT end of story.
My favourite would have to be the most emotional ones. I also prefer when it's not as choreographed.
Honestly Anakin vs Obi-wan was irritating, just too much, the battlefield was just insanely stupid and over shadowed the fight itself often. Kylo Ren vs Rei, just not enough character development for a duel between them to be epic personally. Luke vs Vader ROTJ... oh yes I agree, definitely the music they throw in when Luke gets berserk for a bit.
We all know who the real chosen one is
I can never get enough of his spins though

I was mostly referring to when all the Jedi came in and aided one another to fight off the Geonosians.
TRAITOR!
He has some good spins but no one can top these sick spins-
Luke Vs Darth Vader on Cloud City.
I did the exact same, LOL.
The first. Obi vs Vader. You didn't know what to expect. While it wasn't flashy by any means(The Vader suit was clunky and Alec wasn't 20yrs old), the great ending gave Luke drive and direction for the series.
TRAITOR
