What are your weird habits?

I'll start. Whenever I have a pen, that pen will be chewed. It is inevitable. Not pencils, though, they are way too dry.

What about you?

  • Want a weird one?

When I make a joke, I repeat the punchline or final sentence in the humourous remark(since most jokes aren't in standard joke format) under my breath. I do it A LOT and unintentionally.

  • I sometimes bite my nails.

  • also... guilty.

    I sometimes bite my nails.

I'll look at a certain number or a time when I'm watching a youtube video or something, and I will always half the number in my head. For no reason. And I don't even like math, so why do I do that?

I find it very hard to resist picking the corners off of papers. Sometimes, I even eat them.

When I wave at someone, I wave with three fingers, thumb, index, and middle. I don't know why...

I can look at a boy and in three seconds my mind's already planned out our first date, our second date, our prom date, our wedding, our honeymoon...

I call it my "Sansa Vision"

And it annoys the hell out of me, too. Sometimes the boy's handsome, but he has the personality of brick. A godamn brick! And often times he's a prick without an ounce of humility with an ego the size of a truck!

  • Glad I haven't had a bad relationship yet!

    • I talk to myself while doing math.
    • I stuff my victims' organs into teddy bears
    • Whenever i'm thinking about something i start walking with no real direction(Sometimes without even realizing it), it helps me get the creative juices flowing i guess
    1. After a shower, I walk around while wearing my clothes. I don't know why I do this, but I feel more comfortable when I do things in motion.

    2. When listening to music, I tend to walk around as well. If I don't, my body feels "weird" to the point that it forces me to move.

  • I have a bit of a habit where I sometimes repeat certain actions a number of times I feel comfortable with xd, I don't know why but I get this urge to do it and it doesn't go away unless I power through it or do the same actions more times x.x

  • That sounds like a symptom of OCD, do you get anxious if you mess up?

Same here,it's OCD,i have fortunately managed to control it to certain extent, because things can get really ugly if you don't.Do you also have intrusive thoughts often?Because then it's almost certainly OCD

  • I walk around in circles when I listen to music. I can't listen to it sitting down.

  • Sometimes I do, although other times I can brush it off :p I think I've managed to make myself less anxious after years of this xd

That sounds like a symptom of OCD, do you get anxious if you mess up?

  • Yeah, I do have intrusive thoughts pretty often, I keep thinking the worst x.x although I think the thoughts have lessened as well as their affect on making me anxious at times.

  • As long as you remember these are just thoughts and don't obey your impulses (i know it can be difficult at times) you should be ok.Otherwise it can develope into a very bad condition.

  • I always keep this in mind, usually it's mostly just making sure the tap is closed, a lid on a bottle is closed or that something is turned off x.x hopefully it doesn't get serious, thanks for informing me though, thanks to you and Squishy Cthulu, I wasn't entirely certain I had OCD or any actual symptoms of it.

  • I have another weird habit, sometimes when I'm alone I like to walk around and either contemplate on life, think of events or situations that probably won't ever happen or think of ideas/stories xd it helps me with my story writing, speeches and essays, heck, even helps improve my social skills sometimes xd

    1. I tend to scratch my right eyebrow when I'm nervous.
    2. I can never stay still, when I'm sitting down, I always move my leg around, or when I'm standing up I tend to move a lot.
  • I make these weird, gutteral (?) noises when I'm anxious or stressed out. It's weird af and even my doctor has no idea what it is. I've had this for a year or two. It goes away if I relax for a while (two to three weeks usually), they then gradually become less and quiter and might even disappear for a while, but I have a stressful job, so yeah. Weird noises.

I also crack my fingers and toes. I cannot stop it. It's like telling a meth addict to just stop taking meth, with me feeling very stressed out if I can't do it. That's been going on for more than a decade, though, and my family is desensitized to it by now.

Sometimes I talk to myself, but rarely, and only when I'm alone. Most of the time it's just to remember adresses/names, or to curse my employers for fucking up again lol

And I don't know if this counts aswell, but irl I constantly swear like a fucking bitch.

  • You fantaize about marrying strangers you don't know because you find them mildly attractive?

When I know something is going to happen or when I want to do something I always imagine the scenario. I do this with almost everything. I even imagined how I would say this. And I imagined that I would say that I imagined that I would say this. (that's pretty confusing but...)

Try to remember that there are as many POSITIVE thoughts as there are negative ones. So one thought crosses the other = neutral, just like in math (lol).

It is pretty much OCD but that isn't 100% sure, to really know what you are in go visit a doctor please although that's pretty hypocritical coming from me. I heard somewhere that it can get eaiser to wash those thoughts away if you know what's the deal, in this case it is OCD. My weird habit is that I often call those negative useless boring thoughts by name, Zoe in my case, so it is easier to out it all away.

  • Hear a new word and spell it out in my mind, count how many letters it has and see whether it is an odd or even number.

I always do sometimes with my lips, lick them or just somehow push them together, I don't know the right word for this lol.

I used to write words like tHiS fOr IdK somewhere on a paper when I had one out of boredom, and I had a nice number too : 138769 IT LOOKS ELEGANT

  • I do that!!!!

I talk to myself...A LOT. Could be about anything really, doesn't really matter, I find it better and more helpful than just thinking to yourself. Often times, I do it to help me remember something or just organize my thoughts and plans, I find that better than just thinking about it or writing it down. Other times, you just provide for yourself a great listener (God am I alone).

I crack my knuckles, I know its bad, but I just can't help it really.

I fucking curse a lot. Doesn't matter if I'm pissed, happy, sad, whatever, I curse, I guess it just makes me feel better for whatever reason.

Whenever I'm on the phone with someone, I have to be moving around. Usually I just pace back and forth over the same area, I can never stay seated or stay in the same place.

I take long, hot showers. Not sure if that's a weird habit, but something I always do.

    • I always talk to myself, especially when I'm nervous about something. Hell, even some kids on school think that I'm crazy cause of that lmao.
    • I curse a lot and it helps me calm myself.
    • Whenever someone makes a mistake in English classes, I always have to correct that person. I even corrected my professor one day, but hey... at least she didn't punish me.
    • I always study and walk at the same time. I just can't help it. I can't study at all when I'm sitting down.
    • I sing when there are people around me and I can't control it. I even got embarrased (sorry if I wrote that word wrong, it's a difficult word for me to spell correctly) cause of that too many times.
    • I always fall in love with fictional characters that I like too much and it doesn't matter what sex that specific character is... I should really look for help...
    • I have a weird obsession with specific male fictional characters...
    • Every time I hear an anime opening song, I just want to kill myself. I just can't stand them at all.

I should really not continue any longer...

  • yes i walk around when i'm on the phone toooo
