Long time gone, now I'm finally back from Germany visting my familiy and - OH FOR FUCK'S SAKE! I'm playing Fallout 4 again.
I need something to do instead of Fallout, repairing my car and reading MacBeth (never gonna be that way, Strong!). Maybe I should do something with my li- oh, what's that? A house? It's not on my Pip-Boy. Let's go!

  • New DLC... opinion is "meh." Does make some of the lack luster perks a tad more useful though. Generator and Powered Ground Water Pump are likely the most useful items I can see for far on it. New Concrete structures seem to add more freedom of construction as well when compared to what already existed in game. I noticed most of the walls can clip into the ground like foundation blocks do.

The wasteland workshop is proving rather entertaining, despiste its meager offerings. Already, do I have many plans with the new additions.

Now, to tear Sanctuary down and rebuild it from the ground up as a concrete fortress.

  • WASTELAND WORKSHOP DLC PHOTOS FROM MY GAME. And i'm back to 100% Achievements again, happy days!

Slowly building concrete buildings but recources are limited! May start a new charcter again...

  • The new DLC fixed a few of the problems I had with settlement building (specifically a lack of door variety and no inward-swinging doors altogether, plus having to build a door frame to patch up your old house), but there's still a lot of things that could be done to improve it.
    1. Windows - Unless you want to pick a wall with a small hole or just have railings, you can't really get a decent view. I hate looking at my big buildings with no windows. A flat wall with a window would be nice.
    2. Adding doors to the other houses - I always develop Sanctuary Hills as my base of operations, and it really frustrates me when I have to try and put a foundation, walls and roof to put a front door on my house. If you can make it so that the side door in your old pre-war house can be fixed, then why can't you do the same to the other houses?
    3. Crops float in mid-air - I usually use the hillside as my garden since it's the biggest open area in Sanctuary, and it's annoying that crops will just float on steep slopes with nothing between them. Wouldn't hurt to have their shape adapt to the ground below them.

  • I had to reload an entire hours work because a brotherhood squire got hit by one of my grenades in the leading by example mission and everyone on the prydwen tried to kill me when I returned

  • I really like the concrete building set. Nice to have high ceilings to put vendors indoors. I also like that we can create rooms inside the buildings a lot more easily.

This was my first try to create something with the concrete set,

Very glad a lot of vendors sell shipments of 100 and 200 concrete now.

  • This is sick! What Vendors sell the concrete?

  • Thanks. :)

A lot of vendors. To name a few: Trashcan Carla, the lady at Drumlin Diner, The General Store in Diamond City, the lady at Bunker Hill (Deb?), Penny in Covenant.

And I'm sure there are a lot more. Bethesda went a bit overboard with the concrete sellers.

  • Okay, scrapped the old perimeter wall in Sanctuary and replaced it with a concrete upgrade. My large metal shed of an armoury has now been replaced by a concrete bunker in the centre of town. I previously had built a large tower filled with generators to supply power to the town, but the new fusion reactors eliminated all need for this.

I may upload an image of it later if I can.

  • Starlight Drive In. I like the space and the relative flatness of the place.

Although it's quite easy to sink the concrete walls into the ground, so flatness doesn't really matter all that much.

Hang on, why haven't I see these these new wall types when I've played the game recently? Was there another update or am I just blind?

EDIT: Figured it out. For some reason I didn't get a prompt to install Wasteland Workshop even though I have the Season Pass. Any reason why it wouldn't download?

Just found a pretty awesome Easter Egg at Listening Post Bravo. The Terminal entries are a reference to the following song:

I'm not sure about anyone else already wrote about this here, but if not I finally was the first one who discovered an Easter Egg. Yay!

  • Oh good this thread got revived. Started my first play through of New Vegas, if you've got any tips that'd be nice, I've progressed till Primm for now.

Oh my god this can be taken so much ways if you don't understand what they're saying.

  • So my copy of Fallout 4 came with the season pass, but I still cant download the new DLC. Is the new settlement stuff meant to be available right away, or do I have to unlock it somehow?

  • Could you give me the basic synopsis? My last Japanese Langauge class was well over three years ago and I only remember a handful of Hiragana and no Kanji or Katakana.

  • None of the Wasteland Workshop stuff has shown up for me. I've got the Xbox One version with the Season Pass and the other DLC has installed fine as far as I know (I saw a few new settlement items a while ago, but none of the new concrete stuff). Does the Xbox One version download DLC automatically with the season pass or do I have to download it manually?

  • I've looked in the Xbox store plenty of times. I only get the option to buy it. I've tried reinstalling the game, and I've never said no to an update, but it doesn't show up. It acts as if I don't have the Season Pass.

  • Do you guys think the crusade against synths is justified, or do you believe that the synths are the victims?

  • edited April 2016

Here's my view on everything. I think the crusade against synths was justified and they were already victims. People getting synthetically built or kidnapped then mentally reprogrammed is scary and would lead to a future of controlled slaves. The Institute needed to be stopped before it grew any bigger. I sided with the Minutemen. I feel like I'm allies with the Brotherhood and Railroad, but don't entirely support them because they want to destroy each other. They also weren't securing humanity's future good enough. Once I got involved with the Minutemen and built settlements everywhere, it became clear that humanity had hope again.
