Do you agree with IGNs ratings on TWD Michonne & 1979?
i only played about 1 hour of both games and i really think TWD Michonne deserved a higher score than 1979. 1979 had 8 while TWD Michonne only got 6.3.
Im not sure though coz i might be misjudging 1979, it's just that it got pretty boring after 30 mins or so, and i just can't take the cloned people graphics on the streets.

You can't trust Ign, they gave Alien isolation a 5/10 for being "too hard" and docked points from another game (I forgot) for having too much water. IGNorant
Fuck IGN.
Old but relevant
The numbers a are just pulled out their ass
That would be Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
Eh, I feel like IGN has some kind of agenda against Telltale. Most of the time they give penultimate Episodes the worst ranking for no reason and generally have been giving Telltale shit ratings, most of the time undeserved, since TWD 205.
I haven't played it, but that does seem pretty harsh and IGN does suck. On the other hand, to be fair, the reception was mixed among other reviewers: http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/the-walking-dead-michonne---episode-3-what-we-deserve
Wow, these assholes don't deserve any money. Hope IGN will die.
Fuck IGN. They are the worst at rating games. They don't deserve any money. Hope IGN won't exist anymore.
Never trust IGN
They are paid reviews
They are so corrupt no doubt any bad reviews are due to not being paid to give it good score
I never judge a game off IGN score might as well burn your money if you use their reviews to buy games
Same.
Same.
For being too hard? Are you fucking kidding me? How were they even playing the game? It didn't feel any hard to me because I played smart. Huh, IGN is no smart.
They literally got shit for brains. I wanna watch them burn in the fiery pits of hell.
1979 Revolution was great, so an 8 seems pretty accurate. (I never read the review though).
As for Michonne's Finale. NAH. Like everyone else is saying IGN isn't actually known for its top notch quality written reviews.
Yup. Noticed that score on Michonne a few days ago. Man, it does not deserve that. It was *much better than somewhere close to six. a 9 at best.
Also, I agree that sometimes the wrong people review the wrong games, and then give it a bad score because it isn't in their "comfort zone". People here mentioned Alien: Isolation. Ryan played the game on Hard (which is what the game recommended) and based on some footage, wasn't so educated on how the game works, (Alien's hearing, the noise of the motion tracker, leaning around in lockers...) so, based on frustration, he didn't understand it and maybe didn't turn the difficulty down a bit. The game could have been more successful maybe if they hadn't given such a harsh review. (sorry for the rant)
Am I dreaming or is this shit real, like real real?
It's real. I wish it was a joke, but it's not.
On a more serious note, were they reviewed by the same person?
So wait they gave the game's presentation a low score because it's too "immature" for the games content? I don't know that game personally, but it has babies on the cover for fuck's sake! what could something be so possibly immature for a game with babies????
what.
I wouldn't really call a 7.5 low, but yeah, I have no idea what the reviewer even means by that.
No, but i don't need to. Opinions on three different game from one reviewer out of a few others who have their own different opinions at IGN.
My overall score for Michonne is about the same. How and why may be different though.
Also, it depends on the person who is reviewing. You have some reviewers give a game a low score. But then you have other people with the same company who may think the game is great.
Yeah, I think that would apply to this, with TWDM and 1979 being reviewed by different people at IGN US. IGN's other divisions have different reviewers, which is why the scores are different. For example. IGN US gave Pokemon ORAS 7.8 because of too much water, whereas IGN Portugal gave it 8.4, with their negatives being limted character customization and boring beauty contests. Another example would be how IGN US gave pretty average scores to most of Life Is Strange's episodes, while IGN Portugal gave the full game an 8.8 (they only seem to review episodic games once all episodes are out).
Vlad, by "same", I meant I was agreeing with you.
I'm not just talking about US, UK, or any other international. The best example I could make for a recent example would be Life Is Strange as it wasn't really rated that greatly by sites like Polygon among others. Yet, it still made the GOTY selection fairly high and other sites had it nominated for several things. The person who reviewed the game may not particular like or get certain aspects of the game. Though, their coworkers could very well think highly of the game.
Most sites even say that even if a majority of people associated with their site thinks a game is great. If the person reviewing it does not then that review will be the sites opinion.
Let's be real here, should we ever trust ING?
Why would I ever agree with anything IGN publishes?
Rare case that I agree with IGN. Michonne was pretty meh. Not good.(Didn't play it personally, but I've watched multiple walkthroughs.)
Well, there was way too much water to be fair.
0/10, too many Wingulls. I hate Hoenn and I'd have given it a better score.
They've had an agenda ever since Telltale stopped funding Playing Dead.
Well, "ING" is short for InGen I guess, so yes.
But you could always not trust me
*IGN
I always trust you despite my shit mistake, InGen.
Too much water
IGN gave sunset overdrive game of the year, so I respect them, but c'mon. Michonnes finale was great
You think I didn't know that? What was the need?
The harder, the worse.
