Characters you think are overrated.
Since @lottii-lu made one for liked characters that are underrated, I'm doing one for hated characters that are overrated.
Only these come to my mind.
- Mike from Until Dawn This motherfucker. People out there think he's a hero, when really, he's not. He participated in the prank on Hannah and Beth which caused Beth to die and Hannah to turn into a Wendigo, he locked Josh in a shed which caused Josh to die or turn into a Wendigo. And Jessica, when she falls down the elevator shaft, he dosen't even bother seeing if she's still alive! He's not a hero. He's a murderer.
- Jane from TWD S2 She caused the death of someone I cared about (Sarah) and tried to kill two more people I cared about (Kenny and AJ) all because she wanted Clementine to replace her dead sister. What a bitch.
- Gwyn from GoT Game "Asher, all my family did was murder your family. Let's get married, 'kay?"
- Daenerys from GoT Show I liked her for the first three seasons. But then she banished Jorah for no reason, even after all he did for her. What a bitch. Even her dragons can't stand her. Also, she pretends to be a queen and frees slaves, when she's not even free; she's totally naive and just a bad queen. Also, if you remember in the game, she promised 200 sellswords if you liberated Meereen and killed only those you must, or if you don't do that and you tell Beskha's secret, all she gives you is money! Fuck money, I want an army!
- Robb from GoT Show He's handsome and badass, but he's a fuckin' moron.
Now please don't judge my or anyone else's opinions, plz. This is a matter of opinion.

Max Caufield and Chloe Price from Life is Strange: Max is just such a boring, unlikable, and unrelatable character. Seriously, I couldn't stand playing as her and her monotone, drab, and dull inner monologue for more than 20 minutes, let alone deal with it for an entire game. Chloe, while Ashly Burch did an amazing job and she was an actually developed character, is one of my most hated characters from any form of media. She blames everyone else around her, including Max and her dad, when in reality, most of it is her fault, and she expects everyone to feel sympathy for her because of it. Sorry Chloe, that bullshit doesn't work on me, and it irritates me that so many people are like "Oh my God, I love Chloe because she's been though so much, give her a break, she's had a rough life," as if that's an excuse for her acting like a bitch across 5 episodes.
Daryl Dixon from The Walking Dead show: Great character, don't get me wrong, but far from the best. His fangirls are (at times) a cancer, proclaiming "If Daryl dies, we riot," or "If you kill Daryl, we'll stop watching." People that say that aren't real fans of the show, and I'm tired of hearing it, makes me wish they'll kill him just so they can shut up.
The St. Johns from The Walking Dead Season 1: Everyone, especially here on the forums, says how they were such great villains, even though they were in one episode. For me, they wouldn't even be in my Top 5. Right off the bat I knew there was something off about them, and as soon as Brenda wouldn't let me see Mark, I knew they were cannibals, yet so many people think it was such a great twist that they never saw coming. They were cool one episode villains, but not memorable villains.
Oh my god. You just gave me so many reasons to uninstall Life is Strange from my computer!
Yeah, he's my fav character in the show, but people really need to stop overreacting about if Daryl dies, they riot.
Yeah, agreed.
They all did that...even sam planned to do it but chickened out. Also I know the butterfly effect led to them twins dying but he hardly wanted them to die, it wasnt even his idea.
Josh terroised the lot of them, they didnt even know about the wedingo so I think locking him there was the right idea. You cant really blame him for that at all, josh is more to blame for all this shit on the night of the game than any of the others
Thats more the plot than anything as she can die there. He did just just charge after her to try and save her
Okay thats just false, unless you shoot emily which is a choice anyway. He never plans to kill anybody
For the others I dont think Gwyn or Jane are really all that overated, more people hate them than loath them
Jon Snow: There's no poster boy that gets on.my nerves quite like Jon Snow. He's your typical baby face good guy. Sam adds the only part to his character that I like. I don't hate him, I think he represents what Westeros should be like but I never marked out more than when he got his ass kicked by Karl Tanner
Superman and Batman
Darth Vader
Joel and Ellie
Goku
uh...okay then
Thank you.
Kenny.
Hah? Since when did the right to an opinion mean we shouldn't judge opinions? Why can't we say we disagree?
It just sounded like people were already judging mine, that's all.
LMAO
1) Samantha Fairbanks (TWD Michonne): I don't hate Sam but I don't like her either but Telltale really forced us to be on her side against Norma and her community. She caused all the character deaths of the whole season. She stole things from Norma, she gave her a chance and stole from her again and it seemed like Norma was a reasonable woman, she gives people chances, even the ones who destroyed her home and wanted her brother back in a peaceful way. Why didn't Sam ever try to negotiate with her? Greg told her that it wouldn't be safe to rob her again. Sam didn't listen because she didn't give a damn, she didn't even feel guilty about this.
2) Jane (TWD Season 2): A fucking Molly spin-off of Season 2, she caused the death of someone I cared a lot in Season 2, being Sarah and manipulated Clem to kill her long-time friend so she can replace her with her dead sister. And she wanted her to forget about shit she has done.
3) Max Caulfield and Chloe Price (Life is Strange): Seriously, who created them? Max is such a boring protagonist ever created in any media. Her relationship with Chloe was so forced. All I cared about the game was the rewinding power. There is one question which I had been waiting for a long time. How did Max get time powers? And the ending doesn't give me the answer because my objective was either save the city by sacrificing my best friend to the first death she has got or let a city die by a tornado to stay with only a quite girl around. This game was created for the players to ditch Telltale games which are more awesome than that shit. This game is like Beyond Two Souls in Telltale style.
4) Michael Munroe (Until Dawn): Why is so special about him? You all forgot that he is one of the people who were involved in the prank on Hannah which got her and her sister killed? He even caused Josh to die or turn into a wendigo by locking him in the shed. Josh lost his sisters because of him and he wanted revenge but got the wrong people (which was a lazy writting). He had the biggest plot armor of the whole game, he CANNOT die until the end. Why do you all hate Emily? She is the only one who felt remorse for Hannah and Beth, you hate her because of the way she treats her boyfriend? Guys, Matt used a SELFIE STICK to record the prank on Hannah and her reaction. So he deserved to be treated like that. Also Mike is NO hero because despite finding out she was still alive at the moment, he didn't bother to go after Jess when the elevator she was on fell down to check if she was still alive. Instead, he went after the killer. He didn't even feel bad for Hannah and Beth and blames them for running into the woods like that even though it was his fault, it seemed he enjoyed playing the prank on her. Seriously, Mike is the worst character in Until Dawn.
5) Lara Croft (Tomb Raider 2013): As much as I like Lara as one of the most badass female characters in any media, I think her character is overrated, Tomb Raider 2013 is an Uncharted Drake's Fortune spin-off and people consider consider it better than Uncharted series which is not true. All you do in the game is travel around a cursed island and save Lara's best friend, Sam which seemed so repetetive.
Okay, I know this is your opinion and you own every right to believe it, but I'll give my two cents.
To start, I disagree with most of what you said. Max and Chloe are basically representing two sides of me as a young teenager. Once, I was a shy and anti-social bullied girl [Max] , then probably after 15 or so, I shifted to the "wild" side with the change of clothing and personality [Chloe].
Chloe just had her father died, and she carried that weight for five years or so until her mom found another guy [David] and married him. He's a war veteran who seems to suffer PTSD and can determinantly slap Chloe, nevertheless he's still an asshole (although with good intentions) to Chloe and Kate especially. Max did leave without keeping contact, which does seem like an asshole move plus we did get to learn about Rachel and then we find out that she died because of a drug overdose.
Chloe does make asshole-ish moves and guilt-trips Max sometimes but that's overall part of her personality now, and she did encourage Max a couple of times to be confident in her talent in photography.
*4 episodes.
Chloe was generous enough to suggest that Max should go back in time to let her die and stop the storm from happening. You know, it sorta feels depressing when you realize that your life is what's needed to save a town of people that has their own dreams and ambitions to fulfill.
I just uninstalled Life is Strange and hid it in my account, never to be seen again.
Her voice actor actually sounds like Max, even when the VA is normally talking. Sounds like she (the VA) has a cough or something.

Ok? I didn't mean for you to uninstall anything. You can like it but not more than any Telltale games.
Max held up her hand after Chloe got shot.
You and @MetallicaRules gave me so many reasons to hate it, so I figured if everyone hates it then why should I play it? Just my opinion.
Kind of a dumb reason to hate it no offence
Oh nice. I should wait for someone to die, then hold my hand and say NO to get these powers. AMAZING.
None taken.
Screw them, just because they hate it doesn't mean you should. I found Life is Strange to be one of the most moving experiences I've ever had.
True, but I just started hating it. IDK, I guess I'm just dumb.
Call me an asshole how much you want, I don't care because I'll criticize Life is Strange forever.
That is a shitty thing to say. A very shitty thing to say. He can like it however much he wants to, he has that right.
Yeah and then if you decide to rip up the photo, she doesn't seem to care at all. A minute ago she's pleading for Max to save her mom, and even David. Next minute, screw them, let's drive away together through the destroyed town with numerous dead bodies, who cares that my mother who I was begging you to save is now dead and you are solely responsible for it, I should be hella pissed at you but nope, instead, let's make out some more.
I recognize Chloe had a depressing and shit life, it sucks, but you know what, get over it. There are way more people that have had or currently do have shittier lives than you, and many of them rose above all that shit and did something with their lives. Those losses or whatever happened in their lives made them stronger and bette people, with Chloe, she decides to use it as a crutch and blame everything on everyone else when the fault lies with her and her alone. Life is shit, life is unfair, not everything goes our way, God throws a curveball when we're expecting a fastball, but we can't let it get to us, we must be resilient and learn to overcome these challenges, that's how we move forward and become bette, not only that, but we have to take personal responsibility for our actions, two concepts that Chloe doesn't get.
That's the trick to getting time powers? Awesome, I'll remember that the next time I'm eavesdropping on a bathroom conversation.
You are pretty much on point tho lol.
90% of the time I always see something Until Dawn or Life is Strange related on these threads. Not trying to be a downer here, but it can be pretty tiresome.
If it were that easy, I'd do it too.
That's odd, considering you said in another thread, a little while ago, that you still loved the game in spite of the ending or what others said. I dunno, you just shouldn't allow others to influence your opinions or decisions. It's like if because I saw some people on GameFAQS criticize the shit out of Xenoblade Chronicles X (my goty of 2015), I'd suddenly just hate it for no good reason, and want to take it back to the store I bought it from. And not everyone hates LIS (I for one still really like it overall). Of course, on here it isn't surprising that there'd be users who hate it, but plenty of people still love/like it.
I don't mean to sound rude or anything.
But.. why? Can't a person enjoy LiS more than a Telltale game? What is wrong with that?
Haven't you heard of the law that prohibits people from liking LIS more than a Telltale game? ;P
Daryl Dixon
I honestly don't see the appeal of him to be honest. He's cool.... with a crossbow.... but that's all I got out of him really. He's one of the least developed characters on the show for me and the favouritism for him by the showrunners is ridiculous. I don't get his fangirls claiming he is the hottest dude on the show. Um, he's fine and all but Andrew Lincoln, David Morrisey, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Steven Yung are much hotter in my eyes.
Molly... Oh, I mean Jane
Again, don't hate her but she's nothing special to me. I really question why it was her or Kenny at the end. They built up Luke vs Kenny all Season then unceremoniously kill him and have to rush development to give Jane and Kenny a reason to dislike each other. I found her okay in Episodes 3 and 4 but she got really annoying in 5 for me.
Master Chief
Maybe it's because I haven't played enough Halo (I played 3, Reach and a bit of 4) but he just seems like a generic white guy space marine which, if that's what they were going for, fine. But I'll take Samus over him any day of the week.
I'm tired so there's probably a few I left out.
EDIT
Goku
What's the fun of watching someone so powerful nothing is a threat to them?
Me too, I understand people's problems with it but I personally really liked it and cried at the end.
Chloe Price.
Jack Kelso (L.A. Noire)- Jack was just way too overrated by the fans. His attitude that he could do no wrong, and the fact that he took over as the game's protagonist near the end made me hate him. We had already played as this publicly disgraced, false war hero for most of the game, and then we randomly jump ship to this perfectionist asshole? Not to mention the fact that his missions were boring, with little-to-no story and most of it just being 'shooty-shooty-blam-blam.'
Rhys and Fiona.
