What game did you like better, Amnesia: The Dark Descent or Outlast?
Gameplay-wise, Amnesia was better, but story-wise, Outlast was better.
In general, Amnesia. I love both, but Amnesia was better.

Outlast had me hooked.
Amnesia is awesome.
Outlast was too, but to a lesser extent in my opinion.
The graphics style in Amnesia, the notes and the voice acting was great. The story, too, but the ending was terrible imo. I really liked the setting in an abandoned medieval castle, I really like medieval all in all.
Outlast had more of a modern style, which I liked less, and that it was set in a mental asylum and we weren't chased by paranormal abominations, just completely insane weirdos, which I also liked less. But I liked the story here better than in Amnesia. Haven't seen Whistleblower yet, but the ending to the original one was cool.
Did you know there are four endings to Amnesia?
Outlast
Holy shit, really?
You learn something every day.
Check out this page for more info than this:
The Good Ending: If you cut off Agrippa's head and throw it in the portal, Alexander dies, then you die, but Agrippa saves you.
The Bad Ending: If you don't cut off Agrippa's head and don't disrupt the portal ritual, you die and Alexander goes through the portal and lives.
The Revenge Ending: If you don't cut off Agrippa's head and then tip over the pillars, Alexander dies, and you make it out of the castle alive without the Shadow following you.
The Secret Ending: If you don't find a way out of the cell after you get ambushed by a shit ton of monsters in the Chancel within 20 minutes of waking up in the cell, the Shadow traps you and devours you.
What ending did you get? I got the good ending.
Definitely Outlast. I hate complicated things that stop me from experiencing the story. Outlast kept me hooked without pause.
Outlast.
Amnesia is sooo much more scary for me, and I hate horror games in general.
looks like father martin one-upped jesus christ himself in shitty ways to die

Outlast, of course. Amnesia was too much scary, I'm not a fan of big puzzles and the story was kinda wierd. Outlast was better, it had better enemies, they were so funny, the sprinting system was so well done, the graphics looked so realistic and the story was so enjoyable. Hopefully Outlast 2 will win the Horror Game of the Year.
I'll represent Amnesia until the day I die
There hasn't been a horror game since Amnesia that gripped me the same way
also, I'd personally have to disagree about Outlast having the better story. I found Amnesia's story to be quite interesting, although granted, I've always been a fan of the more subtle methods of storytelling (notes, environmental storytelling, etc). I mean to be fair, yeah, Outlast has that too, but Amnesia felt like it was more intricate in that regard.
I like both of them a lot, though. Played both Amnesia and Outlast (along with Whistleblower) multiple times now, and I'm looking forward to Outlast 2. But Amnesia wins it over for me.
Me too, because I remember we both died.
Didn't know there's four endings but it sounds good. Especially the secret one. Yummy.
Both provided me with quality spooks. The atmosphere in Amnesia was incomparable, but Outlast just filled me with a sense of urgency for every step I took. Those chase scenes, man...
Story-wise, Amnesia, of course. For actual scares, Outlast.
