What do you think was better, BioShock 1 or BioShock Infinite?

I prefer Infinite. It had better story. I liked the duo of Booker and Elizabeth. And TBH, I used to ship them until I figured out that they were actually father and daughter. 1 had better gameplay, but Infinite had better story. So, Infinite it is.

    Bioshock 2.

    I just couldn't get into 2.

Yeah, me neither. I got through the first thirty minutes of it, and decided to stop playing. Hated it so much.

  • The original. Infinite's gameplay was so dumbed down it isn't even close for me.

  • I guess I prefer Bioshock infinite because Booker had a character. They both had great twist though.

If I had to order all 3 games in the order I enjoyed them though, Id have to go Infinite, 2, 1.

  • The original for the story, 2 for the very fun gameplay and combat system.

I loved many things about Infinite (particularly the atmosphere) but it was a step down and a huge disappointment after the more open world and more politically complicated game we were promised in early development.

  • Bioshock 1, I just preferred the underwater Rapture setting.

  • Bioshock 1, easily for both the story and the gameplay. Bioshock Infinite is extremely overrated.

Bioshock 1, I found infinite's story confusing as hell and the ending was just nonsensical.

  • Bioshock 1 had better atmosphere and exploration based gameplay. Infinite had a better story and character development.

I preferred Bioshock 1 and i liked the underwater setting more and it seemed slightly more creepy and isolated along with a better verity of tonics.

All of the BioShock games are good games in their own right,

Personally, based on story alone, I would favour the first one. With that said, I feel as if Infinite comes in as a close second with the story (mainly because of the characters involved).

For gameplay, I definitely prefered BioShock 2, and I especially loved Minerva's Den; it is one of the few DLCs that I have bought and considered fully worth it. But between choosing the first and Infinite, I would go with Infinite.

  • Bioshock 1 was the best.
