  • I live in southern West Virginia, and apparently have a really thick southern accent. This guy I used to play TF2 with from Florida thought I was from Texas for the longest time...

  • Actually it's Pennsylvania Deustch. Lazy Americans ended up mixing up Dutch with Deustch. The Dutch in Pennsylvania were Germany immigrants.

I have a mild Pennsylvania Dutch accent. It mostly manifests itself through ending sentences with 'yet' a lot and cutting out 'to be' ver

  • I have a Polish accent, which is similiar to other slavic accents, but is still different from Russian or Czech

  • I live between Cali and Texas, Utah and Mexico. So whatever the combination of all of those accents sounds like.

  • I have a common Polish accent, but when I speak English people tent to tell me I sound like Irish

  • Apparently to @Rockmysocks I have an accent but I don't know what ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I'm just going to assume I kinda sound like I'm using Standard English.

  • I've always had a sort of, "New Yorkah" accent, having grown up in New York.

  • By mine. I'm American.

    By whose standards?

  • I have no idea what everybody's talkin' aboot, we don't have accents.

    What you talkin aboot eh?

  • Do you have a Southern accent, a California accent, a Cajun accent, a New York accent, a Pennsylvania Dutch accent, a South or North Jersey accent, an Appalachian accent, a Boston accent, a city dwelling African American accent, etc. Saying you're American doesn't describe your accent very well, as there isn't one American accent.

    By mine. I'm American.

  • You have a typical Eastern European accent that I've heard from Russians and Ukrainians in the past. It's less thick, and you pronounce words very well, but it's still there.

Can't tell. Since I'm kind of emulating American English pronunciation, I'd say it's something along those lines, but with a hint of Russian accent or whatever. Again, I can't tell.

  • Well, if it's not that thick, then I'm doing a fine job.

  • I mean... I can't quite explain it. It's deep I guess? And... american?

  • North Carolina.

Do you have a Southern accent, a California accent, a Cajun accent, a New York accent, a Pennsylvania Dutch accent, a South or North Jersey

  • Your accent is probably pretty Southern then. I have a friend from NC that swears he doesn't have a Southern accent, but after I recorded him talking he finally admitted it.

    North Carolina.

  • I don't really have an accent, I don't think. I mean, come on. I live in the American Mid-west. The most of an accent I ever have is sometimes I slur my words together.

  • My accent changes depending on who I'm around, usually I apparently speak with kind of an American accent but around family I speak with my native Filipino accent.

  • That is the thing; to me, you would have an accent. To yourself, you do not.

  • New England. Apparently far stronger than I realized...

  • I have a New Orleans accent. People say it's similar to a New York accent, but I can't hear it.

  • Apparently Canadian. No, not newfie either. I don't really get it. My girlfriend(Southern USA born) notices it as well as a few others. Most people from other countries say I don't. Who knows.

  • An Australian accent.

  • no dude I know I was kidding lmao

I thought it was obvious enough I wouldn't need a sarcasm tag on the bottom. I'm not forty five lmao. Edit: Also I didn't get a notification for that comment. Weird.

  • A disgusting Frankenstein of German and Danish, as a result of growing up in and between both countries.

Funnily enough, people from both of those places say my accent sounds fake as a result. The struggle is real.

  • Fairly standard North American accent. (the kind in most tv shows/movies).

  • That's cool. My sister tends to switch accents around different people/influences too.

  • Well according to the people at my school I have a "White person's accent"whatever that means.

I mean... I can't quite explain it. It's deep I guess? And... american?

  • Yep... Uh, that's what most people think. The name is kind of confusing. Nah, I'm a guy.

I'm from New Jersey, but I live close to Boston. I have neither accents. Mine is similar to something you'd hear in Connecticut or Pennsylvania, apparently.

  • Huh. Are your parents, or friends from that area? That could be where you picked it up from.

  • I'm a Virginian raised by two Floridians. Trust me - you can tell. XD

  • No, both of my parents are from South Jersey. It's rather odd.
