Chapter 1 of King's Quest 2015 is FREE on Steam!

I highly recommend checking out this series if you like Telltale's adventure games (old or new). It's funny, thrilling, and incredibly charming. Not to mention the first episode is LONG (5-6 hours). And once again it's entirely FREE.

  • Pretty sure it is free on xbox one too. Atleast it was free so I downloaded it :P Didn't get around to play it yet.

  • Its a great game and the first chapter is my favorite. Play it you wont regret it.

  • It is so kiddish I can't stand it after 10 mins. Not a fan of the graphics either. Not a fan of puzzles.

C'mon, make something like MC:SM if you are aiming at younger audiences, not something like this.

  • Are you joking, you cant stand it because its kiddish yet you have a MCSM avatar, or was it a shock to the system to see a puzzle for once.

Why do you think its aimed at younger audiences it probably aimed at point and click fans who are at least 20+

10 minutes of gameplay, which features a few switch puzzles...Oh you poor sweet child you haven't even gotten to the main course of the adventure which features memorization, logic, timed, and inventory puzzles. The puzzles are pretty simple at that and not too mention the game took out dead ends, so its 100% possible to clear the episode without wrecking your save.

It's kinda sad to see people call the puzzles in chapter 1 and 2 challenging when its not even close to some of the puzzles in the lucas art Monkey island games (hell all their games). Not to say the puzzles aren't enjoyable because they most definitely are, but the fact that people "rage quit" over such simple stuff is outstanding.

Also Kiddish? Like Cthulu said you play story mode and that's not "kiddish"?. (not to say I don't love story mode because I do). Regardless its unfair to judge a game and immediately drop it after 10 mins, especially after the first chapter. Grahams young at the start and progressively gets older as the chapters continue, hell in chapter 1 there's a pretty grim moment that can take players off guard, the series isn't afraid to mess with people's emotions like what Telltale does with Story mode.

Either way if your expecting "OOoooo the edge" moments at every corner you'll be sorely disappointed (even though minecraft has NONE of that).

As for the graphics, what's so wrong with them exactly. It looks similar to what you would see in a Telltale game,

I see you haven't played the older kings quest games at all, or any real point and click game really, telltales modern games are not point and clicks, they don't deserve that title at all, so if you're looking for something similar to them you're looking in the wrong place. Comparing it to telltale just because of choices is a bit unfair.

  • I LOVE Telltale currently, but they have alienated the term point and click and now when people see puzzles in other "similar" episodic games people lose their shit, it's ridiculous.

This is a steal. There was some questionable stuff in Episodes 2 and 3 (I still enjoyed them though), but the first episode is close to perfect. Even if you don't have the money for the rest of the series, just play the first episode. Its a self-contained story with a couple of extremely minor hanging threads at the end. Episode 1 has a better resolution than most Telltale series finales. Seriously, just go play it.
