  • Seriously, read up on Curie's bugs. That isn't how the Bug Works. The Bug causes Curie to always travel back to Vault 81 regardless where you tell her to go. If you read my comment I already stated I tried to assign her to a settlement. Only way to fix it is with console commands.

Why dont you just ask someone else to follow you and then you get the choice of where to send curie.

  • Hell no.

Speaking of Fallout 3, the giant radscorpions scared the shit out of me.

  • There are a lot of immersive travel mods available, and a buildable fixed Vertibird is one of them currently now.

  • What are you guy's thoughts of mods on consoles? Do you guys think the PS4/XONE are capable of handling the ones that change the game?

I think it will work out fine, for the most part, so long as the mods are thoroughly tested before they're released for general use.

As opposed to the mods that don't change it?

  • I see what you're saying, but all mods technically change the game, so classifying them is important. Now as for graphics mods it depends. There are mods designed for performance that remove small decals, and lower textures. I imagine those will work great. Mods that make the textures all 4k and such, well the consoles will run into problems there I think. Changing the map I don't think will be a problem. Basically, so long as the textures aren't increased drastically, causing the requirements of the game to surpass the specs of the systems, I think it will be fine.

For example: A Graphics Mod, or maybe a totally different.map.

  • Man, really loving Far Harbor. Story and choices are surprisingly good. Hopefully they'll make more DLC's like this for the rest Bethesda's games. Also might be adding more polls for the choices in this DLC and previous ones.

  • Same. Tbf FO3 is my first encounter with them. Sometime after the main story I was on my way to the first Broken Steel mission when I ran into an Enclave camp. It was all fine when shooting big laser cannon wielding troops but suddenly a deathclaw broke out of the cage and I was like "Holy shiiittt! Fuck this shit I'm out!"

Freak swiped half of my health in a few seconds until I killed it with a magnum. Close call. .-.

  • I really can't wait for this. It beats the need for PC for me since my PC games lags too much. It's gonna be awesome!

My only hope is that it won't cause any problems to the game or the system in general.

So the other night I finally completed the main story and some side missions for Fallout 3. I have to say I love it! The story was good even with a few hiccups, but the gameplay was mostly solid since I dealt with little lag (although it would often after 5 hours get stuck and I would have to restart the system). I ironically managed my equipment and learned more than I did with my part-way playthrough from New Vegas (maybe due to the constant lag on PC).

It was interesting having my character grow up at first, and so I decided to continue that way as I played through it. Creating growth and change to the character. My character was kind hearted, smart ass, idealistic, slightly short tempered and heroic. I tried to keep the relationship close to the father as well as his friends. At first he tried to only knock out those who attacked him in the vault, but when the guards started shooting he eventually killed two in a sloppy manner. After leaving the vault, he would encounter raiders where he slowly learned how to shoot while also trying to help people in Megaton and other settlements. Even with all the side quests he always though about finding his father, often listening to the voice logs to hear his father's voice to have comfort and focus. It was only when his father died in the purifying chamber, after finally reuniting with him, that he felt more rage than ever before. He would become merciless to anyone that would pose a threat to him and his allies (with the exception of Trouble at the Homefront since it's about dealing with his friend's father, which at the end he felt betrayed after being kicked out by the very friend he tried to help). Eventually he would become an all around experienced badass with a more black and white view than he started. Having only a few friends, a super mutant and a dog. At the end, he would complete his father's work with the help of a super mutant.

I think when I tried to personalize my character, it made the experience all the more satisfying. :3 Anyone else do the same thing with theirs?

Fallout 3 is one of the best games i've ever played. How did feel above the Brotherhood and the Enclave? Elder Lyons and Sarah Lyons were the best of the Brotherhood, thats since changed in Fallout 4.

One of my most memorable quotes is from James at the start of the game, 21:6 I am Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.

I felt my character becoming attached to the Brotherhood and Purity, he wants to take the Capital back from the Raiders and Mutants and bring water back to the people. I also feel that Madison Lee and Elder Lyons knowing James was another reason for LW staying at the Citadel

  • It's been a very good DLC, great choices. I feel like this is a small DLC and they may go even bigger.

  • Is Far Harbor worth coming back to the game for? I kinda got bored of the base game after a while, does this DLC add a lot or is it just the new area?

  • Cant play Far Harbour for a while, what are the new settlements like? Any nice spaces for building?

  • I think there are 3 could be 4 new settlements and they added to the workshop so you can build barns and fishing and hunting themed stuff in your settlements and the barns can get pretty elaborate.

  • Definitely my favorite division of the Brotherhood. Fallout 4's were dicks. Unfortunately it tainted my view of the organization overall. It's shocking to see how young Maxsom was so innocent compared to his adult days. When I first bumped into him I was like "YOU!!! O-O"

I'm not good at memorizing quotes however I loved listening to all of the parents' logs, they are the most powerful ones in the game imo.

I can totally see that. Makes sense. For mine, he chose to live in Megaton since it's near Vault 101 while still helping Brotherhood and the project while going out on adventures and eliminating any threat. Even though he was banished from the vaultand felt betrayed, I forgot to add he still cares for Amata and she said they may see each other again, so he's just waiting for god knows how long that'll be until he can see his friend.

  • Have you had the vault 101 random encounters where if you complete their side quest and make them happy they start exploring the wastes. He/she grew up with Amata so there's always that connection. It's a shame Sarah died so young that it forced Authur into being the elder. I also think he came more tough since the person he loved died. And the reason fallout 4 BoS are like the way they are is due to Maxson bloodline founding the brotherhood. He wants to live up to his family

Yup. Met Susie Mack on way a mission like a day after getting banished. We killed some giant radscorpions together.

I didn't know Sarah dies. o_O She's still recovering from last I checked on her. Maybe she dies at the end of Broken Steel then? Anyway, I could definitely tell he looked up to her since he called her by name instead of being formally with everyone else. I guess also being an heir can put a lot on one's shoulders. Shame how he turned out. As soon as he discovered the truth about Danse he didn't blink an eye in condemning him.

Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 have a 10 year difference. Making Arthur 20 Years old in Fallout 4

Elder Lyons dies, Sarah Lyons is appointed the new Elder, a few years into her leader ship she is out on mission and is killed in action. At this point Arthur has had training from Sarah forming a close relationship, Arthur even stating that she is his first 'crush' because she taught him to kill a man by stabbing him in the kidneys.

Arthur Maxson was appointed Elder of the East Coast Brotherhood by the West Coast Elders in 2283 at the age of sixteen, the youngest in the history of the Brotherhood, after displaying exceptional skill as a capable warrior and diplomat by defeating the super mutant leader Shephard and brokering peace with the Brotherhood Outcasts, bringing them back into the fold.

A bit more about Arthur - When he was 10 he killed a Super Mutant in a training mission. He owes his scar to a fight that he led alone against a deathclaw at the age of 13, an opponent that even BoS veterans advise not to face single-handedly.

I know this through my extensive immersion in this world, I feel like a part of this. All this info can be found on a terminal on the Prydwenn in fallout 4 in Proctor Quinlan's room (the one with the cat next to it)

He also approved a request by Senior Scribe Neriah to develop an alternative and more effective to the Pre-War Rad-Away, which also shows that he has carried on Lyon's efforts of improving technology as opposed to simply hoarding it, which remains the West Coast's goal, as can be seen through a conversation between Nolan McNamara and Veronica Santangelo in Fallout: New Vegas.
