My cinema professor showed us this movie this week. It's a Japanese flick directed by Seijin Suzuki, and it was pretty damn good. If you ask me, the fight scenes in this movie were top notch, albeit a bit obvious they were faking it at times. Seriously, the first fight alone got me hooked because it looked authentic. Great choreography and camera work.
Mario Bros was pretty cool personally. It was a nice spin to what "Super Mario" was from video game form and likely what it would be like in a real world scenario. Pity thought the film was filled with horrible cliche tropes and stuff. I still think it was fun though, well outside of the Gumbas. Seriously wtf those are Gumbas?
Battle: Los Angeles Never understood why people consider it a horrible film really. I consider it War of the Worlds Combined with Black Hawk Down, it has that kind of vibe to it. It saw some of the worst reviews I've seen for a film while not really being a bad film. It is like the film did something to piss the film industry off or something?
I loved the film because it was pretty much about one squad of troops surviving and eventually learning how to fight an enemy that literally was kicking our asses. Enemy didn't kick our asses because they had some silly stupid cliche ultra weapon like "Shields." coughs Steven Spielberg take notes. It was fun watching the Aliens gain tactical advantages during fire fights. That and they had a different physiology as humans so it wasn't like shootem in the head kills them. Air Superiority plays a big part in the film as well. Personally I think it is the best ailien invasion movie that has ever been made. enter link description here
I don't care. You can call me gay or stupid or anything you wanna call me, but I fucking love this movie. I thought it was an epic end to an epic trilogy. One of the best movie trilogies of all time. I thought this movie had the best fight scenes in the whole trilogy, and I also thought Bane was intimidating. Tom Hardy is the best Bane I've ever seen, and he stayed mostly true to the source material. He was raised in a prison, he broke the bat, etc.
I love this movie. It's my least favorite in the trilogy, but I still fucking love this film. I cannot, and will not, understand what is so bad about this movie.

Ah, I loved the Super Mario Bros. movie as a kid! Looking back, it's probably a crappy movie, but I LOVED IT.
I'm probably going to hell for this, but I really enjoyed this movie...
^
Even Hellsing Ultimate referenced Dune 1984.
