Friday the 13th: Game thread
Does anyone plan on purchasing this? From what I've seen so far, it looks pretty promising. For those of you who have no clue as to what this is, it's simply a third-person, asymmetrical multiplayer title where one player controls Jason Voorhees while the remaining seven control camp counselors trying to survive the night.
To summarise, it's basically a 1v7 multiplayer set in the semi-open world of Camp Crystal Lake.

Time for the B Rate Hollywood style Teen Nudity, Crappy Jokes, and all out Horrible Horror Film story telling. That some how magically became a huge success, spawning considerably more crappy films, into one of the largest horror/suspense franchises in movie history. MOTHER or GAIA how did this happen?
Only pvp? No 1player story, Im fed up with multiplayer games that are online only so I have to play with strangers hardly any games have splitscreen >:[
Looks interesting from seeing the trailer and cut scene footage. Hope they are still doing development and are planning to add more to the game, as it looks like it is still in the early production stages.
Looks like it would be quite fun to play with a group of friends.

October, I think. Might be earlier though.
I've looked at the forums and they've added quite a few things such as removing limbs, fear counter, writing messages on trees and an array of different weapons for Jason to use as well as the campers in order to kill or defend themselves.
I'm getting it. I've been waiting for a good Friday the 13th game for years and I think this may finally be it.

Looks alright, not sure how I feel about it being 1v7 multiplayer though, kind of takes the horror element away, but it looks beautiful and definitely feels atmospheric.
They probably make fun of his tiny dick behind his back and he got word of it.

Speaking of Friday the 13th, there's this other game similar to it out on Steam now: Dead by Daylight. A 4vs1 multiplayer experience, but with simpler mechanics I think. I'll buy it sometime this summer as I'm waiting for 13th to come out. Been loving gameplay streams that I've seen, and it seems like it could sate my lust for this asymmetrical horror genre. Seems more intense as there is one strict objective with less people on your side.
