I just wanna say this. IMHO, Topher Grace was a great Venom, and he stayed true to the one in the comics. His life got ruined by SM, he t

  • Yeah, that's right. I said it and I'm proud of it.

    Dosen't matter.

  • sigh. That's not what I mean, the thing was that literally the only Eddie Brock thing that Topher Brock had was Eddie's blonde hair.

  • Oh. Nvm, then.

  • Well, IMO, the only differences I see from the movie Venom and comic Venom are what he looks like, and him not being tough. Cuz in the comics, Eddie Brock is fookin' ripped. Other than that, they really didn't change much of his character. He was the complete opposite of Peter Parker, he was as sinister as Venom, and he wanted revenge on Peter/Spider-Man for ruining his life. That's just how I feel.

It's the weakest in the Raimi trilogy, but I thought it was fine personally. But I haven't seen it in a while so that could just be the nostalgia talking. Most of the criticisms I've heard are pretty fair. Many felt that its comedy relief was too goofy and cringe worthy and many felt that the use of three villains at once resulted in a convoluted and unbalanced narrative. Many also complained that Mary Jane was an annoying character, but she was a terrible character in the other two films too so I usually scoff at that criticism.

  • Meh, there are kind of a lot more differences than you think. How he became Venom, How he began to hate Peter Parker, His hatred for Spider-Man, How he discovered Peter was Spider-Man, etc, etc.

I didn't hate it. But then again I can't say it was the best Spider-Man film that was ever made.

I remember when I went to go see Spider-Man 2, that after the film was done, people started clapping. True story!

I guess the biggest problem behind the 3rd film, is that the villains didn't have enough character development.

That and the fact that Peter Parker kinda became the bad-boy, and Tobey Maguire, even though he's now in his late thirties I believe, still doesn't have a sinister look about him.

I went to go see the first amazing Spider-Man film, and while I thought that Martin Sheen was a good uncle Ben, and Sally Field was a good Aunt May, the rest of the cast left something to be desired - especially the actor who actually played Spider-Man in the film - who's name I can't remember.

  • Dumbasses, Spider-Man can't detect Venom's attacks.
