I'm in the middle. I thought it was alright, but I don't see myself giving it any glowing praise. There were things it did well, things it d… moreidn't do so well, moments that were effective, moments that weren't, and the quality of the episodes fluctuated throughout the season.
Episode 1 was fairly decent, but I felt it was relying too much on character tropes at the time to get properly attached to anyone in particular.
Episode 2 was one of the high points of the series, and it actually managed to deal with its subject matter quite respectably.
Episode 3 was so-so for me; it had a few good segments to it, notably the entire 'stealth' sequence at Blackwell, but the latter half of the episode fell flat for me until the ending.
Episode 4 was by and far the highlight of the series, a fantastic episode across the board if you ask me, and it took a sudden nose-dive into dark territory towards the end, but did so in a way where it felt natu… [view original content]
Overall, I liked it. Mainly because of the music, the relationship between Max and Chloe, and the relaxing moments when Max could explore and sit down to think.
The only two things I didn't like were the endings, which seemed abrupt, and how Max never discovered how she got her powers. I guess Samuel's squirrels did a ritual by the totem pole every night.
Someone with a different prespective will say that you're nuts for wanting TftB for GOTY 2015.
Not anymore. I played Dying Light this month and I enjoyed it the most.
New players are so lucky that they patched in a smoke effect around that area. Spent like 5 to10 minutes looking for the darn thing back on day 1 of eisode 2's release. Though, I did spend some time just wandering around looking at stuff and I felt like an idiot for not noticing the visible space next to Rachel and Chloe's love shack.
I thought they dispelled that running out of money thing? While most of us were looking for a particular ending I think over time a majority who didn't like it have come to appreciate it to some degree.
I really liked Life Is Strange. I felt that from episode 1 to 4 got better and better, though the finale did have a drop in quality, basical… morely thanks to Dontnod running out of money (well it's not like it was a high budget AAA game, it only cost around 6 million euros to make), but overall I still really liked and it is one of my favourite games of 2015. And hey, at least as of episode 5's release lip synching has been mostly, if not completely fixed across all 5 episodes. I'd give it an 8 out of 10.
On the technical side of things, I own the game on both the PC and PS4, and have played through it twice on PC and once on PS4, and compared to Telltale's games, it was far less buggy than them. Never lost a save, only encountered one graphical error in episode 3, all the scenes played out as they were supposed, in both versions. With the exception TFTB, which I played on PC and it wasn't that buggy at all, I have played TWD S1 and 2 and TWAU … [view original content]
Its really overrated imho. TWD S1 and TWAU own it in every way possible (Borderlands was much better too). I even like GoT and TWD S2 more although all three are rather lacking.
The dialogue was so cringey in Life is strange, I didn't give a shit about any of the characters etc.
Really? The worst? I'm willing to assume you haven't watched/played as many shitty pieces of media as I have. Just remember that in Sonic 06's ending, the Princess commits fucking beastilality with Sonic after he dies, and then from the power of boners he becomes a Super Saiyan and kills a carbon copy of Shadow the Hedgehog (who he himself is a carbon copy of Sonic). I'm willing to bet that outweighs whatever LiS's endings are.
Could have been better . That Max & Chloe ending was the worst ending I've ever seen ....ever.
Chloe's not very likable . I wanted an option to end that friendship
Seriously, am I the only guy who spent only 2 minutes gathering the bottles? Like, that was way too easy. I have no idea what anybody is talking about.

You are the same person who literally went around on LIS related videos to just trash the game. Now, you are acting like "omg I can't believe people are mad". Seriously, the shit most of you guys give to those that like LIS is appalling in itself. The fact that this thread was really only truly made to shit on LIS is a testament to my point.
What is even more funny to me is how you and others point out the gaming sins videos and honest trailers. Which for the most part a lot of the LIS fandom took in stride and enjoyed. Yet, you and others were commenting and posting around stuff like "this should convince people LIS is bad" or some other stupid shit. Hell, you even have the sins video with Dartigan/Geek Remix who loved LIS and people are trying to parade it around as if the video wasn't just made in fun. The creator said it was made in fun and yet people who hate the game(you) tried to treat it as fact and now trying to play victim. Seriously, get the fuck over it already....move on from LIS. I loved the game and yet it seems that you're more stuck on LIS than me.
Below are only two references I bothered looking up::
Look, you all know my answer, I probably have been the most vocal detractor of this game here on the forums, my hatred for this game has no … morebounds. There's a couple good things about it, I can't deny, Chloe is a well developed character and Ashly Burch did a tremendous job, Episode 4 as a whole was a great episode, and it's story had the potential to be amazing.
However, there are so many things wrong with, it makes it unbearable for me to play and practically impossible to watch (unless I find I a funny Lets Play of it, like Swingpoynt or The Sw1tcher).
* The story is awful. Like I said, it had so much potential to be amazing and a great coming of age story, but it failed to even interest me. It wasn't gripping, or suspenseful, or investing in the slightest, and part of it is because for my next reason.

I mean your being sort of the same as those guys. They hate strange and you love it and react horribly whenever someone bashes it. Sure people get obsessive over the hate, but opinions are opinions. Its not hurting anybody its just a game.
This isn't a hate life is strange thread. Your given two options. Like or hate and just because there's more hate doesn't mean everyone here is against the series.
This thread is pretty much just a collection of those who hate LIS and for some reason needed to make a another post to say how much they ha… morete it.
Most of the reasons you guys hate it can easily apply to any Telltale Game which is the funniest thing to me.
Absolutely hated it. I couldn't stand the dialogue in that game and found it to be extremely boring frequently. People were hyping this game up before and after episode 1 and I was really hoping it would get better. Sadly I was wrong. By the end, the story was just getting stupid and I lost any interest. I also couldn't get invested in any of the characters due to them just being walking stereotypes and obviously their terrible dialogue. Especially Chloe, I found her to be annoying and constantly hating everything that I did which makes for a terrible side character to be always around. I could go on about how much i hate this game, but i'm thinking it was meant for a certain crowd of people. Sorry for the rant, but this is all my opinion.
Really? The worst? I'm willing to assume you haven't watched/played as many shitty pieces of media as I have. Eh, I do think that it's better than Minecraft: Story Mode, The Walking Dead: Season 2, The Walking Dead: Michonne and The Wolf Among Us, ho… morewever, it's not the best "story-narrative" game, though. Yeah, it is good and it's totally on my top 10 favorite games list, but it had some flaws that were distracting and kinda didn't make me want to play the game. Like:
* Max Caulfield, cause I think she's the worst protagonist ever. So uninteresting and boring, and her voice acting doesn't make things better.
* Episode 5 as a whole.
* The "Sacrifice Arcadia Bay" ending. The developers put way less effort in this ending.
* Horrible voice acting (but Chloe, Mark Jefferson, Victoria and Kate's voice acting were good. The rest... eh).
* Cringey moments (sad face).
* The last choice of episode 5 which felt like your choices before didn't matter much.
* Mark Jefferson as the villain. He had so much potential, but he turned out to be another shitt… [view original content]
I enjoyed the game for what we got. Maybe beside a few characters that I can't remember, I never felt annoyed by these character.
Episode 3 and 4 were the best episodes, as I felt quite emotional.
The thing about Life is Strange that made me feel enjoyment and emotions, that for some reasons the environment of the game as well as the music invoke a nostalgic childhood emotion in me.
Unfortunately Episode 5 failed to capture that feeling again and I was left unsatisfied.
Fortunately Tales from the Borderlands Episode 5 also got released that day and completely dominated Life is Strange and left me very satisfied and happy.
Nevertheless I did enjoy Life is Strange for what it was, so my opinion isn't as soured and negative.
Don't forget the part where said princess also wanted to let the world be doomed because she would never get to bang Sonic, if the evil space time god ceased to exist in the past.

It was, and at least it could've had fun gameplay, if it wasn't so broken thanks to all the glitches and design flaws, but nope, Sega jusy had cash in on the holidays. Imagine a little kid in 2006 asking their parents to get them Sonic 06 for christmas. Would be the same thing as receiving coal instead.
Their reason for why the saving Chloe ending was a short, sloppy mess is still the dumbest thing. "We ran out of money". They could have totally used photographs or something to enhance the ending, but nah just show the wreckage and drive into the fucking sunset. Is Warren okay? Chloe's Mom? WHO THE FuCK CARES BYE!!!
I just finished Sonic 06 and yeah the ending was ass, but at least I could laugh about it. With Life is strange I cared about a lot of the characters and seeing the game end with either 2 choices that erase every single thing I've accomplished in the game is fucking garabage. It is very disappointing, but it is what it is. It's already been 8 months since it came out and Dontbod has already moved on to a vastly different project. All we can fo is hope that they'll be more carefull with how they manage their resources and don't rush stuff (which isn't completely up to them, since their publisher would have the final day, right?). Still disappointing how early last year, there was an interview where they said each choice could have a little impact on the ending. Then again, that wasn't someone from Dontnod, but rather some PR guy from Square Enix. And PRs either don't know what the fuck they're talking about or they lie.

No, he did a interview with Greg Miller where he said that wasn't true. You might be still thinking of that stuff posted on social media but all of that has been addressed numerous times. How choices impact you or the game all depends on the individual to be honest. I do wish there was more but I'm happy that a lot actually ended up liking EP5 and the endings.
Also, DONTNOD has two teams from what I heard. Who knows what they may be working on relating to LIS.

One of reasons you hate it because your friend told you to ???? What
In the end, I like it. Most of your list can be applied to other gam… morees with choices, e.g. Telltale's work. Hey, I expected choices to matter more in LiS but that didn't happen, but it was a wild ride and I liked the characters so gotta love it.
Yep, if someone is completely shitting on something you like by calling it "terrible, shitty, trash, etc" you should just shut up. How can those crazy fans actually defend the thing they like from trolls and haters? Now, I know better than to do that

THIS. ALL of this. These are my exact feelings on Life is Strange.

I haven't played Sonic since 1998.
No, Michel Koch pretty much confirmed that is why both endings are unequal, why one of them seems like a total rush job compared to the other.
Wolf was better in everything m8.
Eh, I honestly found TWAU worse at everything, when comparing it to LiS. But I guess everyone always has a different opinion. :P

Fine. I'm placing it with the fanbase.
So now a game can be bad because players who play it give it bad vibe? Not because of the actual gameplay, story and whatnot?
Not it's because as @MetallicaRules said, they make so many angry comments to people who hate/dislike this games like a bunch of children.
Irony.

Pointers to what? How to hate a game? Not forcefully, of course.
