Honestly, GTA IV's single player was considerably more fun personally. I found GTA V quite stale. I even found the progression system boring, you really couldn't spend money on single player until you finished the last heist which personally made the game suck. You can not buy better houses for the protagonist characters, and businesses are so over priced that most of them you can not really afford unless you abuse the stock market. It was a very stupid experience personally. I even think GTA IV had a better multiplayer. GTA Online has great ideas, but personally players are able to become insanely over powered that it makes GTA Online Free Mode frustrating and to do missions/heist it pretty much becomes a stereotypical lobby system. In short GTA online is barely an improvement over GTA IV but with a character progression system that is unfair and unbalanced.
Honestly I think they need to do away from trying to make a GTA game about story telling, and focus on a GTA game where the player builds their own story, but in a GTA style free roam world. Similar to GTA Online actually, but more flushed out, and better quality. Even if the protagonist isn't voiced. (Worst part about Fallout 4 by the way is voiced protagonist). It would be like a return to GTA Roots even, being originally that was what GTA ways, a free roaming game with missions. No huge grand story.
I disagree.
GTAV is a literal masterpiece. 3 years later and still no other open world game can dream to achieve what it has. Rockstar is possibly the best developer in the industry, what they did with GTAV redefined the open world game and will for years. It has become a 'standard' of gaming. Which is a good thing as it puts pressure on other companies to release games that match its quality.
I disagree.

I have to disagree. I liked the story and its pseudo 80s action movie feel (GTA4 story holds a special place in my heart though). What I loved most of it was GTA Online, while incredibly flawed, it's also incredibly fun as you can see when I share my GTA Online stories.
Naw. I like GTA 5. It's one of the best games of the decade that I've played. That and Michael reminds me of Robert De Niro which gives it a little extra bump.
I don't think 5 sucked, but I didn't think it was as fun as 4. The mechanics in 4 just felt better to me, the driving in particular. I also don't particularly care for GTA Online, because really all it is is a sandbox death match that doesn't resupply your ammo when you respawn. Overall enjoyment I'd probably rate 4 at 9/10 and 5 at 7/10.
The thing I dislike about GTA IV's multiplayer is that it's so hard to find someone willing to play another game mode besides Free Mode. C'mon, Cops n' Crooks and Witness Protection are insanely fun modes! And I'm not talking about now, I'm talking about before GTA 5 even became relevant. I guess it was just bad luck on my part, but still.

I honestly hope they rebalance GTA online. I was flying a Little Bird (Buzzard) and was shot down by two people in a car within 5 seconds from a block away. I was utterly shocked. Meaning they either had to be using Micro SMG, Machine Pistols or AP Pistols very poorly accurate weapons definitely while they were driving down the street, I was just minding my own at the time to, I was just that shocked when it happened, just says how insanely fragile the Buzzard is, pilot lived, until the chopper exploded in in the air. Which is another problem. Aircraft blow up too easily. They should suffer damage that causes them to be uncontrollable, or lose control entirely, catch fire, etc etc, from machine gun fire, not instantly explode like they randomly do. Would give pilots a chance to bail out at the very least. Really sucks when you're using a normal airplane or helicopter, start taking fire, and before you can take any cover the chopper explodes. lol
I know people talked about how OP aircraft were, but personally I have no idea what those people are talking about. As I've never had problems bringing down aircraft. Heck I sniped a Savage with an anti tank rifle from like 1km away, nailed the pilot, was so easy as he was just zipping back/forth strafing with it's cannons.
The only aircraft in the game that is OP is the Hydra. It's problems could of easily been solved if they would of just added ammunition limits on aircraft, so no one can zip around griefing forever. When they threw in the Homing Missile Launcher, well ya that caused considerably more problems than it solved.
I can imagine say the buzzard being rebalanced by giving it 2000 round capacity for it's mini guns, and the ability to fire in rapid succession a limit of 12 unguided rockets 2 at a time, ie a short burst then empty rocket barrage. I also think the mini guns and rockets should be operated by the co-pilot as an option for improved accuracy but the co-pilot would have very limited arch of fire. I noticed when using keyboard controls trying to accurately fire the mini guns on the buzzard is next to impossible vs small ground targets, making it's only useful weapon on PC it's missiles/rockets. lol
I think the Savage should basically be a beefed up Buzzard just slow as heck and durable, ie able to take 2 RPG hits, and even then the 2nd causes it to lose control, not instantly explode. With the option of having a limited number of guided missiles and a double the unguided rockets of the Buzzard. As well as it's cannon should be manned by the Co-pilot only. Would balance that aircraft out just fine personally, being it's cannon is the most OP aspect of it.
Also if they had ammunition limits on aircraft they could of added a merryweather ammunition resupply option for aircraft, in which one of the airfields in the game would spawn a marker and a few merryweather mercs. Land aircraft in the market and resupply after sitting still for so long. Of course it would cost money. Then they could of added a longer cool down between ordering Pegasus vehicles.

I felt drawn into GTA IV's world more than GTA V's. In GTA V, I felt more like a spectator than a participant. That said, Ballad of Gay Tony was my favorite part of GTA IV.

Hell yeah, it is.
Thanks bro.
This is reason enough for GTA4 to be considered the better game.

Wow, I'm the only one who feels this way.

I wish 5 had GTA 4 physics.

Except Rockstar had already peaked free roam games with Red Dead Redemption
San Andreas is still the best GTA
GTA V is LEGENDARY!
