  • I noticed a pretty interesting detail during gameplay. It looks like Emily's power Shadow Walk has a non-lethal option. It's crazy to imagine something that scary doing something other than killing people.

  • Okay thats good, I hope other abilities have this also. My main gripe with the game is that a non lethal run meant using barely any of the weapons available, it got pretty dull fast. Especially as high chaos is achieved so easily.

  • A developer confirmed that there will be an option to outright refuse the outsider's offer. This will be called a flesh and steel playthrough.

  • Hey, how will you guys play this game when it comes out? Lethal or non-lethal?

I'm gonna go non-lethal, but only because I like being stealthy.

  • Well I think your gonna have to be stealthy whatever way you play. Non-lethal and never seen involves being way more slow and careful and avoiding most of the collectibles and extras.

  • Well, the game gives you a crap ton of loud weapons: Windblast, spring razor, grenades, etc.

And you can still be stealthy and go for collectibles.

  • My sister and I haven't even played the first game and we're both absolutely psyched. Both of us are currently in line for the first game at the nearest convenience.

  • Well yeah sure but if any guard or weeper or anything ever sees you, most of the time you have to kill them thus failing the non lethal aspect of it, them seeing you at all also means you fail the unseen achievement also.

Personally im just going to be more relaxed of my first playthrough and do whatever, test everything out. I just ended up raging and killing everything in sight after half a game of attempting stealth.

  • It's one of my favourite games of all time. Enjoy it!

  • All right, I see.

  • Thanks, I will! It looks like it'll be a great play.

  • Well now if you get caught and have to fight you can combat choke them without killing

  • That's what the quicksave option is for, if you get seen you just go back to your last one. I personally love going non lethal and ghost, it adds a level of difficulty and makes you think in a whole different way.

You can't really avoid stealth, since there's just times when there's too much guards to fight single handedly.

  • You can be lethal and stealthy at the same time, in the first game there were abilities dedicated to a play style like that. Like the one where every enemy you stealth kill turns into ash, so you don't need to hide the body.

  • There were ways to subdue people in combat without killing them. The sleeping dart upgrade was always my first pick.
