But for real now, you should get those two DLCs if you want Fallout 4 to keep you occupied for a little longer... or you can always do some annoying as fuck settlement quests from Preston.
Finally beat fallout 4's main story. Im not sure what to do now,I did the vast majority of the side quests. I thought the game was really good and a well done sequel
I barely paid any attention to preston or his missions, I think I eventually did the castle quest for the XP but that was all. Anyway I may do the DLC later but I feel I will play other games before that. Maxing out companion affinity took forever for a couple of them and I feel id find the dlc boring without a break

There's plenty on the PC, but they haven't been ported to consoles. I have seen one mod that turns all the surviving houses into pre-war houses, but it doesn't restore the ruined ones.
To be honest, I think fallout 4 is the worst fallout sequel in the series.Everything except for the graphics and the shooting system was downgraded so bad, that it looks like an expensive borderlands ripoff.

The ability to adapt areas for you home lot and adapt weapons and armor was way better
Power armor actually felt powerful
I liked the factions overall, I wish there had been a bit more variety in the endings but id rather what we had and still be allowed to play after the credits
Companions were way better and felt more like real people
I think the voiced character was good, for the first time they used it I thought it went pretty well
Dialogue was a bit restricted but again ive heard they are adapting that now
People keep comparing it to vegas and not really getting that all vegas did was adapt all the stuff from 3, they only really had to work on the story and quests. Fallout 4 is a vast improvement over 3 in every way and it still is better than vegas on a fair few things.

Of course fallout 4 (2015) has better graphics, models and AI than New Vegas(2010), but every sequel for any game has that. But this game has done some very big mistakes: 1.This game has a very small amount of side quests (and only 5 of them are interesting). 2.There are no real secondary factions (raiders, gunners and supermutants are just shooting dummys). 3.No role play at all(you can't even be the bad guy anymore, only a bit of a dick sometimes) 4.There are many companions, but only 3 of them are well written (Nick,Deacon,Curie).Others are just bland or cliche. They are also awful at fights, all they do is just comment every action you did 5. Too many empty locations that had a lot of potential (Salem,Spectale island etc.) 6.Actually,the dialogue system was that bad ,that even Todd Howard apologised for it : http://www.vg247.com/2016/06/16/fallout-4-dialogue-system-didnt-work-as-well-as-other-features-says-todd-howard/
I'm not asying fallout 4 was a failure and i'm not a big fan of New Vegas either(long live fallout 2),but it is true that this game is the second worst fallout in the series (after brotherhood of steel, but that game was undeniably terrible)
* The graphics were much better
* The Gunplay was much better and smoother
* The enemy models looked much better

1.This game has a very small amount of side quests
They had a fair amount
(and only 5 of them are interesting)
Opinion
There are no real secondary factions
Really the railroad and the minutemen are, the game could have had neither faction and the game could have been the same.
No role play at all
Okay thats just plain wrong, you have choice in situations on how to do certain things, The main quest not so much but again thats more what faction you choose.
There are many companions, but only 3 of them are well written
Opinion
all they do is just comment every action you did
Which is way more than they ever did in other games
Actually, the dialogue system was that bad
It wasnt the best but they had to try something for the first voiced input and they are taking feedback for the future.
Im not saying the game is perfect but it was still very good, particularly in making the base game have lots of higher quality mechanics and graphics which will allow story to be the focus from now on.

I said I'd show my Sole Survivors, weeks ago so here they are
The one of the right is my first SS, Rosita. I consider her a neutral, she can be full of shit at times and mostly does good deeds. Also, she romanced Piper Wright.
The one on the left is my new SS, Jam! (short for Jamie). She's good, pure and doesn't deserve 99% of the shit she has to face. I haven't romanced anyone with her because Nick ain't available............ rip.
I do have another two charcters but I'm too lazy to grab screenshots of them from my ps4.
I'm not saying that this game is plain awful but like I said before-it is worse than the previous games in most aspects. To my mind, being able to make choices in the story doesn't mean that this game has an appropiate role play, factions with one-sentence backstory are awful (especially in such deep games as fallout) and not being able to kill many characters that you hate is really frustrating.Fallout was a role playing game (RPG),but now it is more of an open-world first/third person shooter with few RPG elements, bland map full of enemies and poor story (I know the last one is a matter of opinion, but I can't even remember at least one quest in fallout 4 with an interesting story, more than 3 endings and which can be finished without shooting anybody).

Fine I guess, both fallout 1 and 2 were pretty basic games in my opinion, 3 and onwards took it into a more Sandbox RPG role. I do agree that the large number of unkillable characters is a bit annoying but id take that over for example new vegas which resulted in faction leaders having very low roles in the final battles or the quest at all. Let alone any of the minor characters in each faction.

OK,ripoff is the wrong word, but thnk about how many similarities these games now have: legendary weapons,an enrmous number of guns, every level you get to pick or upgrade a perk, bandit camps everywhere, creatures drop weapons, most of the quests are about shooting someone, high-level enemies have a skull near their life bar, only one huge town in the game where you can take quests from a bounty board, the story is about ordinary survivors foghting a souless evil corporation which posesses an advanced technology.
To be honest, I think fallout 4 is the worst fallout sequel in the series.Everything except for the graphics and the shooting system was downgraded so bad, that it looks like an expensive borderlands ripoff.
Fuuuuuuuuuck yeeeeeaaaaaa! I don't know how or why, but Garvey no longer spurts out endless Minutemen quest after endless Minutemen quest. I can now only recieve them from Radio Freedom.
You can't pick perks in borderlands, most of the time when you level up you pick boring tiered passive abilities. The perks in fallout all have diversity, at least they're not just a little more numbers to your character.
Skulls next to enemy's life bars? That's the pettiest one yet.
A lot of games have you take missions from bounty boards, WildStar lets you take bounty's from bounty boards, does that make it a borderlands rip-off? Another stupid point.

This is going to be fun.
legendary weapons,an enrmous number of guns
There were unique weapons and outfits in previous Fallout games, too... or legendary, if I should say it better. And since when Fallout didn't have a huge number of guns?
every level you get to pick or upgrade a perk
You don't get a perk in Borderlands 2. As Rabbit said, in Borderlands 2, those are passive abilities. The perks in Fallout are way different. And you always got to pick a perk in Fallout and the whole franchise was created even before Borderlands got released.
bandit camps everywhere
Which game doesn't have bandit camps anyways?
creatures drop weapons
Again, every game that's about looting and fighting does that.
most of the quests are about shooting someone
As I said before, I can think of many but many games that do that.
high-level enemies have a skull near their life bar
And for the fourth time, every game that's about fighting does that. I seriously met high level enemies in WoW that had a skull on their level, meaning they were deadly as fuck.
only one huge town in the game where you can take quests from a bounty board
You're getting bounties from bounty boards in almost every game that's about fighting/questing.
the story is about ordinary survivors foghting a souless evil corporation which posesses an advanced technology
Yeah, but in Borderlands, you are forced to do that. With Fallout, that's a different thing. You literally have the option to side with le Institute (yes, I just said "le" instead of "the" on purpose).
OK,ripoff is the wrong word, but thnk about how many similarities these games now have: legendary weapons,an enrmous number of guns, every lev… moreel you get to pick or upgrade a perk, bandit camps everywhere, creatures drop weapons, most of the quests are about shooting someone, high-level enemies have a skull near their life bar, only one huge town in the game where you can take quests from a bounty board, the story is about ordinary survivors foghting a souless evil corporation which posesses an advanced technology.
Retextures to the world. Grass retextures, greener worlds, guns retextures, outfits retextures such as vault suits. Makes the game feel different without changing much
Hmmm, what are some good mods for on console?
I'll probably only want superficial stuff not anything that actually changes the game. Visible weapons i the only one I can really think of.
Everything what was listed in my prevous comment were the similarities between fallout 4 and borderlands, because: 1.Previous fallout games didn't have legendary weapons, only unique named guns. 2.Each time you level up in previous fallout games, they let you increase some of your skills,in fallout 4 you just have to pick or upgrade what you need. 3.Every previous fallout didn't have so many bandit camps(fallout 3 is close, but not enough).Hell,I think this game has more feral ghouls and raiders than just ordianry people (like in borderlands with the bandits). 4.Fallout 4 is the first game in the series ,where you can kill a bloatfly and pick a legendary minigun from it's corpse. 5.In fallout 4 80% of quests involve shooting at someone, and can't be completed without violence, although every previous fallout game (except for tactics) could be completed without killing anyone yourself. 6.ok,I admit it,the skull appears quite often in many games but fallout 4 is the first fallout game which has that,so it's still a similarity. 7.If I can recall, fallout 4 is also the first game in the series which has a bounty board.(forgive me if I'm wrong) 8.Yes, you can side with the institute but is there any fallout game where you can't help one of the main story factions? Still, everyone in the wastes hates the institute and in 3 endings out of 4 you destroy it.
but thnk about how many similarities these games now have

At least you didn't say that they have similar story, too, cause that'd take the cake.
I think the new leveling system is way better than before, it allows so much more variety from the beginning of the game. Before this you were stuck with more or less the same perks no matter what character you made

I'll probably only want superficial stuff not anything that actually changes the game. Visible weapons i the only one I can really think of.
