The Goal Thread.
In this thread, let's discuss our goals. Both our short-term and long-term goals. Like where we see ourselves in the next five years - if not currently employed - what kind of job we want , and would we like to make it a career - and etc.
Nothing overly personal, just causal, lighthearted stuff.
Personally, I want to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, which is located in Africa. I read a magazine today, and it had this story of an Afghan war veteran who had lost both of his legs, and who had trained for over a year to be able to climb it. Reading his story inspired me, now I want to try and follow in his footsteps, though unlike him though I'm not crippled.
Another thing I'd like to do is learn how to dance. I attended the Arthur Murray school of dance, for a time, but do to some outside circumstances, I was unable to continue.
But I definitely want to get back into it, and work toward being able to dance like John Travolta, and Michael Jackson - minus the grabbing myself bit like MJ always did - which is probably why his voice was always so high pitched.
How about you?

Right now, I just want to the gain the ability to be self-sufficient. My parents aren't always gonna be there to help me do everything in life. I need to learn how to do things on my own. As a start, I wanna be to able to cook for myself. I went to make eggs for breakfast once because my parents were still asleep. I burnt the eggs. I burnt the godamn eggs.
You're not alone.
I always burn toast.
You bloody amateur...
I'm not a bloody amateur! I know what I'm doing!
I'm an expert at fetching bread and sugar!
Me living self sufficiently would literally be cupboards full of instant noodles.
My goal is to make the dankest meme so it would be remembered for the days to come.
Jokes aside, I don't have any goal, yet. Maybe because I think it's too soon for me to think about it.
To be employed part-time or doing casual work by the end of the year, and to get my VCE (Victorian Certificate of Education).
Now we've left the EU are you going to turn your campaigning to the other undemocratic parts of our own country such as the House of Lords?
For everyone's inspirations or aspirations, here's some motivations...

I'd like to learn a bunch of new skills that may come handy later on, like basic programming, medical aid/first aid, dancing etc.
As well as develop some more confidence and social skills
I'd really like to get at least one book finished by the end of next year as well.
You know why most people don't win? They don't bother! In order to win - in order to succeed at anything - you have to be intentional about it.
What do you feed your mind with? Because what you put into your mind will have a direct impact on how you behave. You become what you think about.
And you become like those you associate with. And it doesn't matter what your age is. Why do you think criminals are often times worse when they are released from prison, than they were before they went in?
What we choose for a mental diet - which includes what we read - what we view on tv - what we listen to on the radio - and who we associate with, will a direct affect our character.
And that's not being fanatical. That is just basic facts of life!
If you want to be successful - if you want to be positive - think about those things - and surround yourself with people who are like that.
That's funny, I was just reading an article the other day that said if you want to be a really good cook, you have to start by being a really bad cook. So you're on your way!

To communicate with a giraffe
Now this, this is what I call a meaningful life goal. None of that boring "get a good job", "live happily" stuff.
Definetly not, gotta go shopping with them giraffes
Improve my German.
Be more grateful for everything.
Think more positively.
Current goal: Figure out what the fuck my long-term goal is.
Yes, thank god for me.
I'm stealing your catchphrase Jim
My Big goal (and dream ) is to gain enough money , to travel acroos all the countries i want to go in, and there's like ten of them .
and from the point i go into the first country in my list ,
Before i go,
completly shave my hair and facial hair , and let it grow until i visited all the countries on my list , that should have me look like a lumberjack and all those trips should cost me the price of a BMW .
But I wanna do this before going into proffesional life and have kids and everything ... Although i kinda think it's impossible to have all those countries visited into one year , especially if i have a job .But well , i guess i'll have to alterate my plans
Someone was bound to do it.
My goal should be the ability to set goals. I'm notoriously bad at this.
To learn how to dance.
Right now: finish this birthday card, work on some comic pages and do some Fallouf and Walking Dead fanart.
My current goals right now are:
All day all night. Amen.
I can teach you how to dougie, but that's about it.
Teach me how to tap and I'll pay you.
personally, the best thing that I can recommend is that you either start attending parties, and get people to teach you how to dance, or you can go to a professional dance school and have them teach you.
Though mind you, the going to parties and learning how to dance there, is going to be a lot more cheaper than going to a professional studio and having them teach you.
My goals for this year and the next year:
