I started on 50 and lost two games now I am 48. Competitive is really bad. Matchmaking is not fair. I only play the 10 placement games each season now. Normals are more fun.

I managed to get Rank 60 in competitive and then I deranked all the way down to level 50 because I just went on a straight losing streak due to my team having no idea how to play. Luckily, Im back to rank 58 and having a solid win rate, so I guess everyone is now starting to be placed in their proper ranks, because its been a long while sense I got a team that just had no clue how to play.
Also, they made it 300 so that if you manage to get a golden gun, it will be seen as rare instead of a, "Hey you tried." If it was given just for competing then competitive would lose the whole goal of "winning for rewards" because all you would need to do is play that gamemode instead of quickplay to earn the gold guns. Also at the end of the season, Blizzard said they would reward players with more competitive coins based on overall personal stats, so you wont 100% need to have 300 wins to get a gold gun.
I honestly think I might need to take breaks from competitive. I find myself constantly screaming and being pissed off because my team is in… morecompetent lol. By the way anyone else find it ridiculous that you need 300 coins just to get 1 golden weapon? It wouldn't be so bad but you only get 1 competitive coin per match.
Anyways besides that I wanted to ask you guys and girls opinion on something. Which highlight intro should I get for Tracer? I'm kind of leaning towards backflip or serious business. Also which outfit should a I get? Sporty, punk, or ultraviolet? (Already got Mach t)
I had an awful losing streak too due to my team. It lasted for about 2 days and I got deranked hard. However, then I began to get teams that felt way more balanced with people whos rank actually reflected their skill level, so I would recommend waiting a little bit before going back in so everyone who is rank 58 is really rank 58.

Yeah I think that was one of the things they wanted to try to add, making it more based on how you performed and not based on if you just won or lost, because its extremely annoying to be deranked alot due to having an awful team, but you did fine.

Yeah im done with Comp aswell I agree that they need to change it all, the fact 1 loss is 1 de-rank... So what happens if you win one then lose one? What's even the point, how does the system work? I do well most games I play, to the best I can. But I see people stacking up useless character for the job on my team attack or defence.
I still get the spengchengs in my quick match games, lost 5/5 last night. One guy was playing as bastion on attack, got the kill feed on - he didn't exactly do much. Didn't even go turret mode on the payload or anything

Problem is I play on Xbox, people are either in parties with mates or just don't use a mic. I haven't added anyone through the game yet. I did have one person in game chat before, but they were talking to people in the background, was like they had thier headset on the desk while playing
Only talked to @jamesdalton1995 and his friends once. Other than that it's been my mates but they've been on other stuff and on holiday

And this is why I don't play competitive. It's a game, games are made to have fun. Competitive isn't fun.

needs to be somethine where it knows you've done well so it doesnt punish you for technically playing well

This game just always punishes me,
I got 16,000 healing done with lucio in one game - still lost
32 kills with symmetta on defence/teleported 14 people - still lost
9:20 on fire and 3:26 on the objective with Lucio - still lost
In my placement games I went 7/10 wins - Since then i've gone 1/6
Just need to meet people to play with I think! Maybe wait for at least 2 other mates

Turn your mic on in games and find people that communicate well and don't play like shit. I add 3 players a day to my friends list when I do this.
