If you had the powers of a symbiote...

For anyone who's seen a lot of Spider-Man interpretations, a symbiote is an alien that envelop their hosts like constumes. They make you so much more stronger and agile, and they even shoot webs out automatically. But...you have no control over it and it influences your mind and body, and it makes you do evil things, like kill people you care about...or worse.

Would you take it off and destroy it or keep it on you and have it take over you?

I'd take it off. I love having full control over my body.

    Well, one of my friends on Steam said he'd keep it on him, so...I thought this would be a good discussion.

    If I don't have anymore family and friends, I'd probably keep it

    OK, let's try it the other way around. What if you were the symbiote?

    You're a creature who needs a host body to survive. You know your host would try to destroy you if he knew your true nature, but he'll tolerate you if he thinks you're just a fancy set of clothes. The host seems gullible enough, but he has a fancy scientific friend who seems more suspicious of you. What should you do?

    Would use it to restructure my body to how I want it to be, heal it from illnesses and my bad eyesight, regenerate cells so I become younger, then try to get rid of it.

    edit: sure you say I have no control over it, but the symbiote 's goal is to have a healthy host to begin with, so even without trying to make it do this, it would still do it on its own
