Pokemon Go!
Does anyone here have it? How is it so far?
I'm unfortunately cursed with an older generation of iPOD so I'm unable to play it. I'd still love to hear about everyone else's experiences, though!

My brother has it and we tested it out and I think it is safe to say he is addicted, had to catch two of his Pokemon though since he couldn't throw the ball properly.
It's fun! My phone also is old, so I have to use my Mums'. But it's still fun!
It's the end of humanity as we know it. Everyone will be abandoning their children, school work, and jobs to go catch Pokemon around every corner. hehe
But hey, it promotes exercise, which is good.
It's kind of like how Yu-Gi-Oh! took gaming over the world by storm in their fictional universe.
It is crazy to think that Nintendo is now worth more money than Sony...
The apocalypse is real!
Cant post video so here is link
Taken from my Facebook status:
"Today, I spent my first day of volunteering at the library. Organizing shelves and ordering books, I couldn't help but notice how alive the library was. People were constantly coming and going and based on the room I was in, the parking lot always seemed packed. I'm beginning to believe that myth about libraries dying is exactly just that - a myth.
Additionally, I'm very proud with how our library is handling Pokemon Go. As our library is a Pokestop, I watched the volunteer director put up signs all day that said, "It's dangerous to go without an item" with pictures of potions, revives, and Pokeballs. While she was putting them up, she told me that she occasionally puts a lure module on the library and tons of people always flock to the as a result. As of right now, our library is making and handing out homemade buttons to the "Pokemon Trainers of Pembroke" if they manage to show a Pokemon that they caught in or around the library.
How neat is that?"
I still think Pokemon Go is revolutionary.
That sounds really sweet. I hear about Pokemon Go on my local radio and stuff but I haven't seen cool stuff like this happen here.
I just tried Pokemon Go for the first time yesterday. My Android doesn't have a gyroscope, so I can't play it in AR mode (which is most of the draw of the app), but my mom's broken iPhone is able to do so - so I played with that for a little bit last afternoon, and with my Android phone at night.
It's pretty fun. I really like the walking aspect, and the Pokestops that take you to places you wouldn't normally otherwise go to (and some parks/tourist locations/etc. that you didn't even know existed).
That's pretty cool man. I like how your library staff is getting in on this too, to help the library itself as well as the Pokemon trainers out there.
Aye, I've got it. It's super addicting. We live about a block from a Pokéstop, and my brother and I have been going out at like three in the morning to go to the Pokéstop and get items.
I believe that Pokémon Go is a good way to get some exercise, as well as track how long you get out and where you go, which I honestly have so much fun playing with.
Along with that, the AR mode is pretty fun to play with , like just seeing the Pokémon show up in the oddest places is one of my favorite things.
And I think the absolute best part of it is it draws people together, because if you walk around the mall and see people standing around something with their phones out, it's easy to wonder what they're doing. I've seen multiple occasions of people stopping and talking about Pokémon Go and exchanging informations about a nearby Pokéstop or some Pokémon that aren't as common nearby.
But that's just my opinion on it.
I feel like the only one that dosen't like Pokemon.
Im so glad i just found out it needs a gyro, im going to get a new phone so I can play this and didn't realise that was a criteria
This will probably be expensive
Your probably too young, the fanbase grew up with the franchise I would guess most pokefans are 20-30
Yup, playing it and I am lucky enough to reach one Pokéstop from my living room, whenever I am at home and I don't have full bag. :-p
Who made this game? It makes people act stupid in public.
That's pure luck, man. The nearest stop for me is a ten to fifteen minute walk around the nearby lake.
Pokemon Go sucks
If you're referring to the accidents and stuff then the game doesn't make people act stupid. It just makes stupid people do stupid things.
I have two close to me, but only one is reachable (cannot put lure module on it though, but can loot it). Second one is on the other corner of the street :-)
I basically live in the middle of nowhere, so I was shocked to discover that there was a stop nearby. There's like none in myour town, but the next towns over is like so historical, I guess you could say, that it has stop after stop. Living that close to a loot one would be a blessing for my current situation, no Pokéballs and no motivation to walk in the heat
Have faith, i got my first pokemons even without going out of home - they just spawn around sometimes. I don't have much time now to simply walk for pleasure of collecting, so i only get them "stationary" or while taking bus to work, if I am fast enough in catching :-p
That's what I wanted to say.
I like it. Good way to bind people together, I was out in the middle of nowhere practically, and since no one... you know... lives in the middle of no where, we got more rare Pokemon out there. I'd rather people guiding others to where a Squirtle is rather than shooting at each other
I never was fond of this franchise.
Mewtwo appears.
"There can be only one!"
heads roll
Person who goes jail (because something like this is likely to happen in America) will spend rest of his life happy as one who did catch Mewtwo.
Accidents like that happened all the time when texting became a thing, and still happen today. Stupid people will be stupid, with or without apps that require them to look down at their phones for a few moments.
There are plenty Rattatas and Weedles where I live, I've caught many of those, but I just ran out of Pokeballs. Lucky me, there was a Pidgeot outside my house all day today and I had nothing to catch it with. Now I really regret catching most pokemon I see haha. What team are you?
Instinct, most "looser" of them all :-D
I'm on team Valor. Though, I find it funny. Apparently Mystic has the most members, but I've yet to meet someone on Mystic. What's your highest CP, if I may ask?
My town is mostly owned by red/blue, yellow's are rare and minor.
Highest CP I hunted/evolved is for now 458, but I did not powered up any pokemon yet... gathering all this stardust and candy for later.
How about you?
My town is mostly red. Though, I've heard about towns that there are no red to be seen.
My highest CP is Raticate, that I've powered up many times and also evolved from a Rattata that stands at 211. I've made little progress on anything though, since not only am I out of pokeballs but I also have 100 stardust, so I'm basically just counting on a 5 km egg to hatch and get something going worthwhile. I believe my first hatched egg was a Jigglypuff, have you gotten or hatched any eggs?
I live in the countryside, so I don't get dick.
I have some and hatched few, but did not get any new pokemon from them. JigglyPuff I got yesterday in the morning and it made me smile, especially reminding what personality this little pink ball have and what it does to the deep-asleep audience. :-)
So far I have caught 39 different pokemons - you?
My count doesn't even begin to compare to yours haha. I've gotten 26 different pokemon, which I believe makes sense for a level 7. What level are you?
In 465 exp I will be level 11 :-)
I've never met anyone at that high a level. Though, that's like three or four Pokémon, depending on your throw, or one evolution. A very strange way to think about it.
Since I'm getting very antsy about being in my current standstill, I'm about to head out to the nearby Pokestop so I can finally do something
Have a nice trip and hope you will find something nice there! Remember, PokeStops have like 5 min reload time, so you can loot them few times if you will stick around.
