Is Clem the longest living "Urban"character in the history of the Horror/thriller media?

I know it's a loaded bullet type of question. But I'm very serious, In terms of overal time spent alive and mostly well. I can't begin to think of another black character who's retained more humanity through trouble. Now then, let's have a nice conversation please no name calling! Forum rules apply here please think before you post! Much like Omid and Lee I love history, this seems like a piece of it that's slipping by without a second thought. This is both a good and bad thing. I let you decide for yourselves what that means to you. dragonfire291 out!

  • lmfao probably.

  • I can't think of anyone else so...probably. JUST PLEASE CONTINUE TO LIVE, CLEMMY!

  • Agreed, In a world where I control the story. She'd somehow meet Rick's group and help them finish this once and for all! But alas Kirkman says no. So far at least.

  • Don't quote me, but yeah, I'd say so.

  • Nothing comes to my memory, so yeah I think so. Well at least Clementine has that and will hopefully continue to live long in her genre.

  • Thx for reply,@DoubleJump I mean I get why no one talks about it. But to not talk about it seems insluting too. Thank you.

  • There's Michonne.

  • And Gabriel, and Heath as well.

  • Not accounting for the "Black Guy Dies First" trope, I don't think any zombie apocalypse-related media/franchises have gone as far into it timeline-wise as The Walking Dead (barring maybe The Last of Us, I'm not sure when that takes place). It's probably safe to say that characters like Clem, Michonne and Pete are the longest-lasting survivors.

  • She is probably one of the longest characters we've seen on-screen in The Walking Dead universe, since we found her very well from Day 1 whereas most characters were introduced much later (obviously they survived up to that point from Day 1 also, but I'm talking about on-screen)

  • Hm... I'm not sure... I think that probably but, if she survives the Season to come and is in a Fourth Season, or even if she appears in the Comics later, I that'll settle it.

  • Well there's Blade, he not actually human though.

  • (barring maybe The Last of Us, I'm not sure when that takes place)

    20 years into it.

  • Didn't Michonne lived 'til issue 156 and probably longer? That's longer than three games.

  • Don't forget Lee because

    LEEISALIVE

  • It's generally an issue that pushes me away from really paying attention to things like the Walking Dead TV series.

I have found out that when I find likable character that makes the series something I would watch, that character is soon killed due being popular and that somehow drives a lot viewers to the series.

  • Cool , this is really going alot better than I thought it would! :) Nice job guys! If your answer doesn't match the therory its fine, point counter point would be the point of this! Love it. Just keep playing nice!

  • Don't forget Lee because LEEISALIVE

  • Shhh haven't read TWD comics yet! Spoiler tags plz! yikes. Good point though@RavenSnowstorm great name btw.

  • I would say she is the longest surviving urban character as far as TWD video game series. But Carl take second as far as the tv series goes.

  • gasp

    Spoiler she lives

Wasn't Will Smith supposed to live years as human among zombies in some forgettable movie?

Ah right the name was 'I am legend'

. Three years after the outbreak, US Army virologist Lieutenant Colonel Robert Neville (Will Smith) lives an isolated life in the ruins of New York City, which is now deserted, unsure if any other uninfected humans are left in the world.

  • There's Henry and Sam from The Last of Us. I don't know how old Henry is but he has probably seen all of the 20 year apocalypse until that point. That's if we're going simply by chronological longevity and not on-screen survival.

  • Michonne is a character I just can't ever see dying. If she did, it'd be a real shock to me.

Bitch has plot armor made out of fucking graphene.

Edit: Shit, the spoiler tag doesn't work!

    Plan B:

    COMIC SPOILERS AHEAD

Kirkman confirmed she will die, along with Rick and Carl, before the comic ends.

Now I wonder, who will me the protagonist then? Andrea? Maggie? Little Hershel once he grows up? Magna? New character? Clementine?

  • However epic it would be to have Clem in the comics,(she's not there yet, right?) come along and save Rick's group and possibly the world. I'm almost certain the only "winners"come comic end game will be the walkers. Don't even think thats a spoiler after all,as Rick said:"We Are The Walking Dead!" This is the end of time,Ragnarok,or whatever name you give it. Humanity would be done. Anyone who thinks the comics will have a happy end are gonna be very very sad:( Kirkman has never really hid this fact well. It's in the darn title! Rant over thx for replies!:)

  • I guess in the case off-screen characters... unnamed urban survivors?

  • She is going to survive a long time. She is Walking Dead telltale's 50 cent. She survives a gunshot wound and was ok 9 days later, damn!

She certainly has lived longer than Samuel L. Jackson did in Deep Blue Sea.

  • I thought Samuel Jackson lived in Star Wars prequels longer than in Deep Blue Sea

  • Super quiet in here.:(

Any current character in TWD Comics

  • There is a lot of horror media that most people probably havent read or seen, so its pretty hard to make a statement like that. But if the main criteria is being "urban", by which you mean black I guess, I can give an example. Mike Hanlon from Stephen King's IT comes to mind. His life span throughout the novel was 28 years and he lived in a town with an alien killer clown stalking it.
