Back when Wolf was (re)announced, people complained that they should have worked on Season 2 instead as that is what people wanted more.
… moreLikewise, when Borderlands was announced, people said that they should have worked on more Wolf/Dead instead. It's OK for Telltale to try new things.
really strange decision from telltale. mr robot is unsuccessful. critics seem to love it but people dont watch it. latest episode was watched by less than 1 million viewers and its probably gonna get cancelled because of bad ratings. not surprised because its boring as hell imo.
Mr. Robot is great and it will most likely won't be cancelled as it's one of the most watched shows made by USA. Plus it has outstanding critical and fan acclaim.
As for the game itself, I have no idea how this will work, cause Night School and Telltale are two different studios but both are retweeting the same ad for E corp. Hopefully Telltale take the lead or something. Overall I'm excited to see where this goes cause Mr Robot is fantastic and I just can't wait to see what the future holds.

yeah i had the same thought, too. Maybe Night School is making a Mr Robot game and telltale is publishing it. Be we have to wait for an official announcement.

Isn't the complaint about new Telltale game announcements usually that "Telltale needs to stop working on franchises that are super popular", followed by people asking that Telltale go back to making stories for less explored franchises?

Mr. Robot is watched by a lot of people, especially online. It's won lots of rewards. It's one of the most successful TV shows on right now. Nearly everyone loves it. There's no way it'll be cancelled. It's an Amazon exclusive, as well. The number of viewers it receives on network television simply doesn't equal its total viewers. Looking on Google, you'll see that most episodes actually receive a million or two more through streaming. Quite simply, it is successful.
'Mr. Robot has received critical acclaim and has been nominated for and won multiple awards, including the Golden Globe for Best Television Drama Series and was recognized with a Peabody Award. In 2016, the series received six Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series.'
Even so, it doesn't even look like it's being made into a Telltale Game. More than one game company is tweeting about it/teasing, so if you're worrying about Telltale making it into a series, I wouldn't.

unfortunately online views doesnt count. networks only care about live viewers and mr robot is lowest rated show on its network (i just checked). hannibal also had great critical acclaim but got cancelled after 3 seasons because of bad ratings. that how tv works.

i think major complaint is that telltale only makes games that are based on something that already exist. people want telltale to come up with original story for once.

They do count if its through their official network, though. USA Network stream online, and so do Amazon. I've only been able to stream through USA Network through a proxy since I live in the UK (whoops), but they do have adverts, meaning that their online streaming of Mr. Robot makes them money. Money is money, no matter where the viewers are coming from. Plus, it's an Amazon exclusive, so online viewers not counting would be a little strange given that an online streaming company holds rights to the show, no?

do you say that because you mean it or because critics says it? you know creators of the show most likely payed them to write great reviews? i cant find one good thing to say about that show. i stopped watching after 1st season and i see people saying that this one is even worse and more boring. it deserve to get cancelled.

most networks stream their shows online on their official webpage. i watch them using proxy too. but they never count if you watch it that way or if you record it on dvr. live viewership is all that matter.

Well, online views do count. I get they don't matter as much as viewers sitting in front of their TV, watching live (and with that I understand what you're saying), but they count, at least to a certain extent.
There's other facts to support it won't be cancelled anytime soon, though. The network recently extended Season 2, both in episode number and runtime of each episode, and most episodes are over an hour long and are being called 'Super-Sized shows' through their advertising. It makes a lot of money. If it helps, all online sources predict it'll have a Season 3 announced sometime soon.
I am sorry for being so passionate about this, though. Studying media for the past few years, sometimes it's hard to not get drawn into an online debate of sorts, haha. Either way, I figure I've went a bit off topic about this, seeing as this thread is supposed to be about Telltale, not a TV show.

well same network that shows mr robot cancelled graceland last year and that was a much better show with much better ratings. it wont be fair if they give mr robot another season with such low ratings.

Most people seem to want more Wolf/Borderlands/etc instead of big franchises. Likewise, when Batman was announced, people wanted Telltale to focus on a less common hero.

= IOS and Android, set between series 1 and 2 (1.5), called Exfiltration, 1st episode (of 5?) August 17th
Telltale retweeted that IGN article and how they think they might be making a mR. Robot game, so it could be something they publish or be a collab between Night School and Telltale.
No I don't just say it cause critics say it, I watched the show one night cause I was so bored with a show I was currently watched it. I watched through the entire first season in two sittings and it became one of my favorite shows of all time.
Mr. Robot is great

Anyone who watches tonight's episode of Mr Robot can you post here if anything is mentioned about this during the commercials. Most of the Mr.Robot related accounts have been tweeting about "Paying attention to the commericals". It might just be the ad for the "messaging app" that we've been seeing but hopefully it'll be more info on this whole mystery.
I wanted to start watching Mr. robot so I could get an idea on what it is, but season 1 is literally nowhere to be found on TV or the internet, so that sucks.

Somebody posted that earlier in the thread; it's very likely not legit as people sometimes post like to post fake leaks for Telltale projects on Reddit.

Good thing Wolf Among Us Season 2 is in development, if it wasnt then I would be upset!
haha.ha.ha.
Why though? Both games are basically the same, except for the camera.

Now that I'm thinking about it, it seems unlikely, but what if Telltale is publishing but Night School is developing? Just spitballing something.

God, i hope it's not mobile-only game.
We'll have to wait and see. We don't know enough info yet to reach any conclusions.
Having everyone connected by one thing couldn't possibly go wrong, right?
Man I hope this isn't mobile only. But I also hope that it's a fully fledged Telltale game and just not something by their publishing.
And if I don't get to play as qwerty the fish I'm gonna demand a full refund.
HIFW Mr Robot: The Telltale Game is a possibility:

I really hope this is a collab, otherwise I'll be pissed, haven't played Oxenfree yet but really want to in the near future.

It's airing on UK TV now, but unfortunately for me I've had to search for it all online because I didn't want to wait haha.
You can find it online for free, just, y'know... not how you should.
Just watch Fight Club instead.
So, was there anything?
Not sure, I'm in England so y'know I didn't see any of it.
