  • I think I kind of prefer the more serious stories, most of the time. I like something that makes me think afterwards, and most funny things don't really do that. I connect more with the characters in more serious works also.

I also wouldn't mind a serious story with a little bit of humor tied in. Humor can be found everywhere and is used by many in times of despair, so it isn't too ill-fitting.

So basically, I enjoy being emotionally abused by Telltale. I swear I am experiencing Stockholm Syndrome with this company.

  • I wouldn't mind a little of both, but if I had to choose one, I'd say serious.

One of the reasons I prefer TTGOT over TFTBL.

  • Both equally. TftBL was one of the funniest games out there and TWD one of the most depressing. Give me both!

  • For the original IP I think I want a more serious story, but everything else I could go either way.

  • I like both. As long as you can tell a good story, I'm cool.

  • I think I prefer a more serious story. When it is serious, (GoT and TWD serious) I find myself often shaking with nervousness and I am almost completely immersed into the game.

With that said, I don't mind moments of lightheartness and humor. And I greatly enjoyed TFTB because it was a welcome and refreshing change from the dark and brutal serious stuff, but even then, I greatly appreciated the serious and drama moments in the game too.

  • As long as the story is good, I don't really mind either way. Lots of people forget that, prior to Walking Dead, their main focus was comedy believe it or not.

  • I prefer it mainly serious, But with a bit of humour, Like in TWD (S1 at least, Haven't played S2 yet.) How it was serious most of the time, but with lots of funny moments.

  • Funny one. I've got enough of dumb walking corpses. Third season as a comedy would be much more entertaining.

  • I like a mix, to be honest. A touch of humour in an otherwise serious story always works, but if I'm forced to pick one over the other, I'd have to choose serious.

  • Serious. A Godfather telltale game would be great.

  • Man, I loved both TftB and TWD, so it's tough.. But at the end of the day I'd prefer serious stuff. Just give me some dark stuff, I got my tissues ready.

  • Just imagine the choices. Ahh.

  • There's enough drama going on in the world today. Every time you turn on the news, something bad is happening somewhere.

So quite honestly, I would prefer a comedic story. Something that helps too make you feel good when you play it.

  • i get it why most of you chose serious, i like serious too. but i wanna say i like to be more funny then serious becuase i'm a little tired from all these story. (death, sacrifice & ... ) i think we had enough of those, they should make more funny games to make it Equal

  • A game is always better if it manages to make you cry in nearly every episode.

  • With Batman and TWD coming soon, I think it's time for another comedy to even it out. :)

    Comedy. No question.

Wasn't every Mr. Bean episode about ridiculous problem solving? How is that not ripe for a good ole point and click? Do it.

  • You are faced with the betrayal of your allies from Capricorn Farms, a farming community in Virginia, and one of your group members has been branded in the neck. How did you react?

Depends on what kind of sandwich.

  • Maybe even some inside jokes, too....

  • There's a time for funny and a time for serious. I came here for funny, though. There's enough other serious stuff in the world.

  • Definitely serious.

  • A mix of both thanks, I don't fancy a game that's entirely serious - I find that boring and a game that tries to much to be funny can become stale in my opinion :x

  • Funny how no matter what most of us keep going back to TWD S1 has being "the one". The first season actually had some fairly comedic lighthearted moments. At the same time it was very serious and made us cry with no shame.

  • Comedy. I miss the old days of telltale.

  • Serious with humorous moments.

  • Thank you! It's nice see that there are other people out there who think the way I do.
