Please help, how do I get a custom profile image?
Well, first of all yes, I "corrected" my typing, second: how do I get a custom image for my profile? I saw people with custom images that don't appear in the "Telltale's Image Library". I want to get my custom image too! So in conclusion: HOW DAFAQ DO I GET CUSTOM IMAGE!?!?!?!?!?!? Thanks and remember, have a nice day
(By the way sorry for excesive use of commas)

This video, although a little outdated, explains it well.
When I first joined, I wanted to use my own avatar as well but found it a little complicated with the Gravatar option, which led me to go with Mr. Biff, the coolest character from the Back To The Future films instead However, this youtube clip really explained it all very well, so great job putting it together.
When I was about to select my preferred Avatar I spent a LONG time on Google trying to find images to use, and the ones I found to be interesting usually belonged to some site or private person. Am I allowed to just pick any picture I find and use it on the Telltale forums? I discovered suitable pics on someone's blog that seemed to have been taken by the blog owner him/herself. If I just edit the pictures a little, am I in the clear?
I googled this one site that explains facts about copyright of images you find on the net, where it lists aspects you need to take into consideration when looking for and choosing photos.

After reading the digital guide on the matter, I wasn't 100% sure if I could just take any picture and use it. In the video, the images used are from Telltale games, right? Is that why it was allowed? What if I link a picture that belongs to a Hollywood film or a competing game developer, like Bowser from Super Mario?
The article mentions that in countries such as the US, UK and the EU for instance, images online seem to be automatically copyrighted. The word copyright infringement apparently covers or includes using parts of the image without permission, not following the terms of use, modifying it without permission as well as having someone else recreate it.
I admit that I took a picture from someone's blog and cropped it. Now it seems they can still track the image because they can put some sort of copyright into a "source code"?
Do I have to contact the blogger and ask them for permission? Of course, I would not use any of these for financial purposes, but what would Telltale do if they found I used their pictures on my blog or avatar?
Sorry if I sound a little foolish but this bothered me a little
Dude, you're overthinking it, just choose a picture you like and use it.
Choose whatever you want jeez.
InGen did not make the video; that was actually made by another forum user. However, as others said, I don't think using images without permission for a forum avatar is a big deal.
Thanks for the reply, papai46. By the way, is your avatar a picture of yourself or is that of a famous person? Perhaps both?
Yeah, that's probably true I still wonder how a blogger would feel if they suddenly saw one of their distinctive pictures modified and used as an avatar on a site. Maybe if it is too personal then the blogger shouldn't have posted it on the internet the first place?
If Nintendo doesn't care, then nobody cares.
A famous person.
I link my Steam account to my Telltale account. I never use Gravatar.
I miss this website layout so much.
