What are your thoughts in Bruce Jenner?

Though I respect Bruce Jenner's decision to to live as he chooses to, I'll never be able to see him as a woman.

To me, If you were born as either a Man or a Woman, than that is what you are. No surgery is gonna change that. Nor the way you dress.

  • An abomination...

A sad , sorry ,delusional, shell of a man. To put it lightly. To scared to admit that he was gay. I almost felt sorry for him.

  • He's a living joke.
But he's also a living meme, so he gets +1 respect for that.

  • I don't really have a problem respecting trans people and the gender they identify as. Yet I also don't give a fuck about celebrities' personal lives. They just want me to buy a magazine. No thanks.

  • You mean Caitlyn Jenner?

  • Gender Identity and Biological Sex are two very different things both affected by similar influences(biologically and psychologically). If she believes she is truly a woman, then she's a woman in my eyes - I have never actually heard of her until I saw a post where she got a woman of the year award the same year that she was convicted of manslaughter, then one of the former women of the year winners sent their trophy back and I have seen ERB include her in a rap against Bruce Banner, so those lead me to assume that she hasn't got the best of reputations?

Do I sense some microaggressions, bro?!

  • If he wants to be a woman then cool. It's just how he wants to live now. He's kinda pretty as a woman, in my opinion.

She's a bourg, I really don't care. If you think Caitlyn's new gender identity is the objectionable part of her lifestyle, you're missing the point.

  • No, he's right when he says Bruce.

  • He can say he's a woman all he damn wants, he can call himself Caitlyn all he wants, it doesn't change anything. He was born a guy, therefore, he's a guy, end of conversation, nothing will ever be able to change that. If you think you're a chick, fine whatever, but don't expect me to treat you like one and don't expect me to give you any sort of special services because of what you "feel."

  • I think it was wrong for him to change his sex when he had a family who knew him as "dad". I think that was a bit selfish, to be honest. As for trans people as a whole don't have any problem with them. I've dated a trans woman before, it's nothing special.

  • I have no issue with transgender people. If someone wants to live as a different gender, it doesn't impact my life at all.

  • Married With Children called it back in 1996

  • My exact thoughts:

I'm okay with people who go through surgery to change their gender. I'm not okay with people who "identify" as women while they have dicks or people who identify as "agender", uh no dude, it's impossible to be without gender, you obviously have a pair of genitals. But that's just my opinion, I won't say it to a person's face, live how you want I guess.

  • No, its Bruce because he's still a man

Well, Caitlyn can't be a worse actor than Bruce was.

That's the thought that crossed my mind when I read the title. Question answered.

If you mean gender identification and surgeries, then I'm fine with it. I'll call you by whatever name you want, refer to you as he or she as you want and as far as I'm concerned, people can do whatever they want to their bodies as long as in doesn't harm anyone around them.

If anyone feels harmed by this, get a hobby. You have too much time on your hands.

  • Saw this thread and thought, "Oh god what now, and isnt this like 1 year late?" These threads recently man

  • I think Jenner's a joke.

Does that make me a misogynist?

  • If anyone feels harmed by this, get a hobby. You have too much time on your hands.

Why do I get the sense you're conflating people ethically disagreeing with gender reassignment, as them feeling 'harmed' by it?

  • I really don't care. Bruce or Caitlyn or whoever can do whatever he or she wants, I just don't care.

  • Er, regardless of whether you believe trans people are real, her name is literally Caitlyn. It's legally changed. It's simply factually incorrect to use Bruce.

No, he's right when he says Bruce.

  • Haha, I watched this right when it was uploaded. I love Lauren Southern.

  • I was never aware of bruce jenner before the surgery and I think it must obviously be a difficult decision to transition BUT that does not make you a hero I believe people are born gay or trans and being who you should not award you special treatment people shouldn't be forced to admire others because they are a certain way as martin luther king said a person should be judged on the content of their character and this goes for all people a person isnt a hero because they are trans, a man shot by police isnt a victim of racism because hes black and a mulsim carrying a backpack isnt going to blow you up... sometimes these things are true but thats based on the individual not the group they belong to.

Positive discrimination is a thing and its just as insulating as negative discrimination its patronising and doesn't look past aesthetics

  • No, legally it's Caitlyn.

No, its Bruce because he's still a man

To be honest, I don't care all too much. If he wants to be a woman and be seen as such, that's fine, I guess. No idea why he's a apparently a hero for it, though...

  • What are everyone's thoughts on the different sexuality? It's good to see a respectful conversation about a controversial topic.

  • I don't care if people get sexchanges or not. Bruce/Caitlyn (whichever one Jenner wants to be) can do whatever he/she wants.

  • I don't care for Caitlyn Jenner as a person, but I feel I must defend her here.

Yes, transitioning can be seen as selfish, but a fair amount of necessities can be seen as selfish as well. And I would absolutely consider transitioning a necessity for transgender people.

Some people close to them will be affected negatively; that much is unavoidable. But, in the end, it's worth it, because the person who has transitioned will finally be living the life they feel they were meant to live.

Further more, I don't think it's our right to judge someone based on how they choose to live their life. (Unless they want to legitimately hurt others.)

If someone decides they no longer want to be the gender they were born as, how does that affect us?

It's their personal decision, and it should be respected.

  • I mean it's great and all, but it seems that the media acts like Caitlyn is the first famous transgender, which she isn't. I feel like her coming out as a woman is wonderful, and she should be anything that she wants to be; however, since she is part of the Kardashian/Jenner clan the media made a really big deal out of it.

  • People are so inconsiderate.....

OK, I get it, you're Catholic or whatever, but religion is not an excuse for hate. In fact, if you hate Caitlyn because of your religion, then your religion is extremely outdated, sorry. That is no excuse to hate, put your religions of hate aside, obviously that wasn't the point of them?

Secondly, if her name is Caitlyn, say Caitlyn, not a different name. Do you just call your typical Jane a Bob? If no, then call Caitlyn her real name. Plus, it's not even you, it's her...worry about your own identity.

And don't deny her as a transgender. She is a woman, ever hear of gender dysphoria?

I am so disgusted by this community. Full of trolls and Internet bullies. Have some compassion! The world doesn't revolve around you, please be open-minded.

I'm not transgender, nor do I identify as whatever other genders there supposedly are, I just have empathy. Actually intersex, if you wish...but doesn't matter.

  • It's because she's one of the few people that doesn't care about our hateful society. Sure, a lot of her fame is due to her previous image, but you're essentially saying that people like Rosa Parks are not heroes.

  • There is no such thing as 'ethically disagreeing,' it's just discrimination and hatred. It's very sad, hasn't the US already had its fair share of a rough past? Are we really documenting this in history as well?

  • Awwww, how sad, an internet troll that cares so much about someone else? I'm afraid it simply doesn't work like telling people who they are. Get a life, and leave HER, CAITLYN Jenner, alone.
