I'm not sure if TT games teach English better or worse than any other type of medium, but I do think they demonstrate really well the importance of effective writing in telling a story. More specifically, the necessity of A) good editing, and B ) effective dialogue.
But IMO, still the best way to learn and hone grammar and writing skills is to read, read, and then read some more. You know, like books and stuff. Anything you can get your hands on, really.
