Thread: Can anyone else download batman ep 3 on xbox one

On the game it says download episode 3 but everytime i press to do it it sends me to the xbox store saying try again

  • I'm on Xbox one it says the episode is available for download but then the Xbox store says "something happened on our end waiting may help" seems to be something wrong happens everytime I try to download an episode of telltales but I don't blame telltale as Microsoft said it's on thier end.

  • Same for me when I click it nine says " something went wrong on our end waiting a bit might help" so it might not be avalible until like 2 hours.

This is a fairly common bug, it will sometimes say you can download the episode but it won't let you as it hasn't launched yet. Once it does release the download button should work as normal.

  • So this episode is out now on the 360.
Despite the fact that episode 2 isn't.

I don't even know what to say.

  • Oh my fucking... HOW just HOW can youtubers be so ignorant with their video titles and thumbnails!?

Maybe this is part of a Halloween event

Nothing compares to the skin-crawling, dread-to-rights horror of SKIPPING AN EPISODE!

    BOO!

  • Ugh, worst thing is waiting for Steam release. Can't even see new episode in 'downloadable content' like with Life is Strange, and their 'we released' post is always later than actual release, so I just start game - check ep 3 - close game.

    UGH

    WHERE IS MY BAT AT?

So i have the digital season pass on Xbox one and the episode was not out so I waited an hour 1 hour later it brings me to the screen to get the episode but of course it wants me to pay for it although I have the season pass. Another thing is I buy the season pad for almost all of telltale's games other people have had this issue with a season pass but I have not so I wonder if I do buy episode 3 with the season pass If I will really get charged I'm not going to take a risk but I wonder.

  • But you can just keep your steam downloads open and wait for it to appear then. Also Telltale episodes on Steam usually always release 10AM PST

  • Hearing their voices poked a healing wound.

Did your PTSD not already heal some after he voiced Bluebeard in Wolf or Finch in Tales from the Borderlands?

  • Swingpoynt was what spoiled me, it was a bullshit alternate choices video. I shouldn't have to unsubscribe to avoid spoilers.

  • Has the episode come out in the US yet? It wasn't out at midnight so I'm just asking when does it come out about lol :)

  • Still waiting for xbox to change it so i dont have to pay £5 even though i own the season pass ffs

  • Have you contacted TellTale through the support tab it will take any from 1-3 days for a response. The more people report this problem the quicker they will see it and patch it.

  • Should be out on Steam in ~30 minutes.

    Not yet out on steam

  • I'm on 360 and I was overjoyed to see Episode 3 ready to download today.

Shocked beyond belief to see that though Episode 2 is now FINALLY available, it's asking me to pay, even though I own a season pass disc.

I love Telltale games but I'll never buy another physical disc again. Too much grief!

Thread: anyone else angry over the release date screw up?

so, imagine your in line to buy the latest iphone (if thats still a thing people do), you got there three hours before the store opens, waiting in line for hours and hours and when it finally opens, no one is allowed in, the line doesnt move, and while your just standing there bored and confused, several more hours pass before the manager finally comes out and says their actually going to sell the iphone in two days, give no reason why and close the shop again. now, do you think maybe the people in lne have a right to be a little upset to have their time wasted like that?

firstly, i live in ireland, so when the U.K. gets a new episode, its on our store in ireland, and i waited until about three a.m last night waiting for the new episode to come out, i was a little irritated but figured, 'it'll be there when i wake up', went to bed, woke, and nothing.

i checked their twitter and no response or message other than 'batman episode 3, out on the 25th', with people complaining it wasn't up yet, so then the entire day goes by and eventually they decide to inform us, on the day it was supposed to release, that its being delayed release in europe.

so firstly, moving past the fact that youtube makes it impossible for things not to be spoiled, hell, on ps4, if i use the menu too long, a livestream will begin playing, or some random clip of those opinion renting idiots from ign gushing over you, so its going to fun avoiding spoilers for two days, thanks telltale!

and second, i wouldn't mind the delay if it was any other day than the one they said they were releasing it (yesterday at 11.59 pm would be okay); look, i get there's pressure with deadlines and with the batman title and licence (which isn't a permanent thing, dc didnt sell batman to telltale, more like rented him out), they have to maybe rush the complete the episodes, and sometimes cant hit the deadlines they make for themselves. all of this is fine, is part of episodic gaming as a business model.

but guys, and i'm trying to address telltale directly here, whoever moderates these community pages, why wait until now to tell us? the guys who develop blues and bullets are quicker to respond to a fan query than you and their going out of business (the questions they get asked would be understandable to ignore, 'do i get my season pass refunded?', that sort of thing, but people are just asking you to clarify your intentionally vague 'sometime today or whatever, fingers crossed' tweets), but fans all day have been asking you to clear something up so maybe they don't waste their entire night and the following day waiting for an hour and a half of content? maybe just a word a day or two before.

you guys knew this i'm assuming, sometime in advance, so why not just tell us then? are you just intentionally trolling us?
and if you think its dangerous to assume you either don't care, or enjoy irritating us (for being too lippy about GOT being a waste of time prologue to season 2), or are expieriencing difficulties in company, or the episode is too buggy to release as is, or your being bought by AT&T, you should probably respond more when people notice something has gone wrong, like advertising for two weeks a specific release date, then on the day itself (as it ends, no less, well timed) find your suddenly saying its going to release 2 days later, i mean, it might just save you some grief, like fan backlash, or dealing with the fact you lied to your European customers (because you said you were doing one thing, then did something else, in case a definition is needed, i wouldn't want to come off vague or unclear about specifics, unlike some people i know...) .

look, its just a day, we'll all deal and still buy and i'll regret posting this an hour from now, but seriously, screw you guys for just leaving it to last minute to tell us, the price jack on episodes was bad enough, now your just gonna shrug and stay quiet? you cant afford an intern to handle to twitter feed maybe more than twice a day? or just maybe understand as a business your obligated to keep us informed when you change your plans (maybe before the last minute?) that directly involve customers?

well, at least we know now customers are ranked. thanks telltale!
your games are great but that was dick move, guys.

For Xbox One season pass owners who are being asked to purchase episode 3 Telltale are aware of this issue and are looking into it.

[Xbox One] I have the Season Pass but Episode 3 is showing for purchase

We are aware of an issue where Episode 3 is not showing as available for free for Season Pass owners. We are currently investigating the root cause of this, and we hope to have more information soon. When we do, we will update this article.

We thank you for your patience as we look into this issue, and we apologize for the inconvenience this causes.

[Blind Sniper EDIT:] Telltale have since resolved this issue. Season Pass owners on Xbox One should now be able to download Episode 3.

  • Very slow downloading the PC version of Batman Episode 3 from Telltale launcher. I've left it on all day and only just got to 25% of 4.09GB on a 150mbit line.
