Batman: The Telltale Series - Episode 3: New World Order Review - Alternative Magazine Online
"Batman: The Telltale Series – Episode 3: New World Order is the best episode of the series to date. In AMO’s review of Children of Arkham, it was mentioned how “Episode 3 will be the midway point and, for this series to truly take off, it needs to be a definitive turning point.” With a well-earned cliffhanger ending that is genuinely shocking, surprising and game changing, that definitive turning point has been reached with aplomb. Bravo, Telltale. Bravo."

Yep, completely agree.
Thanks for replying. Just out of interest, what was your decision at the end of the previous episode?
Eased Falcone's pain
Didn't kiss Selina
Went to Mayor Hill as Batman
Supported Harvey
Saved Harvey.
Ah cool, same as me apart from the first choice. I wonder how much the last decision effects Harvey's behaviour/transformation in Ep 3?
That is an excellent review. I could not agree more! This episode was perfect. I honestly can't think of one thing that I would change. The characters were handled perfectly, choices were honored to a degree higher than I believed possible, and ugh, that twist at the end. I can't wait a month! But yeah, I enjoyed the review!
Thank you very much, I'm really glad that you enjoyed the review!
I didn't see the twist at the end coming either, it was a genuine surprise.
I'm also glad that you agree with me about the choices being honoured. Did you save Harvey at the end of the last episode, or help Catwoman?
I saved Harvey and tried my darndest to do everything in his best interest. They portrayed Harvey perfectly here, in my eyes. The transition of his character felt organic, and it was really upsetting to view his paranoia, insecurity, shame, and emerging rage. His break down at the end of the episode really got to me.
I was a little concerned as to how things would go with saving Harvey, considering that the traditional Two-Face is a huge part of his character. (Well, I actually wasn't aware of Two-Face while making the decision, but I soon found out.) Well, in my eyes they already proved that they could stray far from the typical Batman script to create a fantastic story, so I shouldn't have harbored any doubts in the first place.
Sounds like you played exactly the same as me! I tried to do everything I could to help Harvey and work in his best interests...
...with one exception. I didn't kiss Catwoman in Ep 2, but in this episode she caught me off guard (the scene in her apartment was really well written and acted) and I ended up choosing to sleep with her. When the doorbell rang the next morning and it was Harvey, I genuinely felt like an utter bastard and a terrible friend.
I too was concerned about how Telltale would deal with the fact that I chose to save him (I was really surprised when the moment in question was a decision left up to the player), but the way they handled his character's development in Ep 3 really impressed me - it never felt like the 'lesser' option. I really hope I can help him before it's too late in Ep 4!
Right back at ya man. felt TERRIBLE when I decided to sleep with Selina after trying my best to not get romantic and then seeing harvey at the door! Ackkk!
Ackkk indeed! I wonder if there's any way NOT to upset Harvey in that scene. Even if you didn't sleep with Selina, you're going to be in the apartment after staying the night in just your boxer shorts...
