Last Night was Fantastic - Finally talked to a lass socially
Two things happened last night:
1) Our Pool / Blackball team won a match after several weeks of crushing defeats
2) I finally plucked up the courage to talk to a random lass socially, & even asked for her name. This might seem like nothing to you guys and girls, but to me, this is an important step as I suffer from Aspergers & have not talked to a lass socially since roughly my school days (I've recently turned 31).
Tis truly the end of days for me!!!!

I always get nervous around women.
Congrats on making a push towards moving out of your comfort zone! Overtime, it generally gets easier with more experience as you put yourself out there more.

I'm a Geordie (meaning that I live near Scotland)!!!
The women get nervous, too. Try going up to someone you already know or see around a lot, compliment her on something she has chosen, and ask a question about it. And that can be the entire conversation for now.
Example: "Hey, that's a cute reindeer pin! Where did you get that?"
"My boyfriend gave it to me!" (Ah, there's some information.)
"Well, he has good taste! See ya!"
Now, if she says, "Yeah, my ex gave that to me. He's an asshole, but at least he picked good jewelry.", that could lead somewhere else.
At least you might get less nervous.
