  • I don't think joker is joker yet

It would be pretty cool to see Joker in Arkham Asylum for a brief moment, but after that no more. Then if we ever get a season 2, he can reemerge.

  • Oh yeah same. I was thinking maybe even something like Joker is Bruce's inmate or something, before he's done massive crimes and stuff like that, no green hair or anything. Just someone to talk to.

  • Maybe after the COA are defeated we get a call about the red hood gang at ace chemicals.

  • Its only been 4 months, and I've replayed

    Episode 1 - 3 times
    Episode 2 - 3 times
    Episode 3 - 2 times

...It doesn't get old for me for some reason, and that's including the shit performance if there weren't performance issues I think my playtime would fucking double.

  • My main cons with the game is that there is no rewind button. I can't choose a specific point to replay.

  • Same. That might have to do with all my replays. If there was a rewind I would play the barfight at least once a week. pff

Really annoys me too. Telltale has somehow really devolved in that sense. The Walking Dead Season 1 and 2 as well as The Wolf Among Us had lots of rewind points which let you rewind almost all of the great moments. Tales from the Borderlands, Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead: Michonne only had 6 per Episode, which could often be almost as frustrating as having none (to replay the ending of Michonne Episode 2, you had to sit through 20 minutes you didn't want to replay every time).

And now there are none for some reason. It really bugs me, and I hope The Walking Dead: A New Frontier will have them again.

My main cons with the game is that there is no rewind button. I can't choose a specific point to replay.

  • I really don't understand why they devolved and removed this feature. It is one of those design choices I really can't see any positives with.

If it works and adds enjoyment to the game, they should keep it.

  • Yeah, I don't see the sense in it either. I'm no expert, but it shouldn't be that hard to do/they don't really save much money or time on it, and it's just frustrating as a player.

  • The reason for that is because if you were go to a specific part, it could interfere with future choices and mess things up.

  • I think it's been one of Telltale's best, but it's broken. No rewind choice, and if you rewind ONE episode every episode's choices get randomized.

  • Thanks for letting me know. Now I'm going to replay the whole thing when I'm done.

  • What makes you think people will wait until episode five is out before they start asking about season two?

I feel that when Batman is over, people on Youtube will start asking where Batman Season 2 is.

  • starting to think it's not coming out on the 22nd...

  • Well that was quick.

    Well that was quick.

  • You already giving up the 22nd.

    What was quick?

  • Okay, so after watching the latest Batman Unmasked video, I've gotta say, I'm ready for Episode 4 and it's new twists and turns... Though some things in the show got me thinking... (Just going to think out loud here, there's some questions I need to theorise about)

How did the Penguin get into Bruce's Bat-things and manage to reprogram his drones?
I'm sure he or his goons could have busted the secret panel open, but how did he get by Bruce's retinal scanner? Or did he blow a hole through the wall on the floor the lab is? Plus, if he did get Bruce's things, does he now know Batman's secret identity? He never mentioned it in the clip, but he'd probably use it to catch Bruce off guard. Though, he could already know (but maybe only suspect up to this point, as in Episode 3, Bruce can say he'll wallow in this empty office, where Oz replies: "I'm sure it's bigger than it looks". Oooh.

If the Children's drug can be used to manipulate someone, can they get Batman to reveal his identity?
This is probably a really long shot, but near the end, when Erin and Jason had their little scene, they talked about how Vicki had a drug to get people to "tell the truth". Now, they are just voice actors and maybe they did that for the sake of their scene, but what if that was true? It could be, in a way. The drug mostly makes people act on their primal instincts, only act on how they feel. We see this in Montoya. She has a hatred of Falcone, but can't just go and kill him. Until she's injected with the drug, that is. She kills Falcone, revealing "the truth" of what she felt. Then, it was used at the debate to get Hill and Dent to reveal how they truly feel about Gotham (see: Hill: "First, we'll incinerate the poor!") And finally, it was used on Bruce after he got his company ripped away from him by the hands of the criminal he's chasing down. With all the rage and possibly shock that comes with being forcefully evicted from your enterprise, and framed to be "voluntary", it was the perfect time for Bruce to strike back at Penguin. So, this means that Batman could possibly reveal his identity to Penguin, the Children or the whole public, if under influence of the drug in episode 4. He just needs a little persuasion, I think.

But, we'll have answers for all this when it all comes out, so for now. that's just a Theory..... :P [okI'llstopnow]

  • I'm guessing Penguin's monocle was made by using the hacked Wayne Tech, so that's how he can see Batman's stuff. Maybe he does know Batman's identity, and its all just some super plan to frame Bruce even more, but I doubt it, its probably just because they already hacked Wayne Tech.

For the drug part, it makes people "tell the truth and do basic instinct" but each time they had to be influenced. Montoya was still told to go and kill Falcone, Harvey and Hill were asked questions, and Bruce was told to attack Penguin. So Im guessing the only way they could use the drug to make Bruce say that he is Batman would be if they asked him if he was "hiding something" or simply, "are you Batman?"

  • I'd say Nov 22nd could still happen, if the release date is announced this week.

You already giving up the 22nd.

  • i am already super stoked to get episode 4. One of those games I love playing and it really feels like a favorite TV-show, where you hate to wait until next week for the next episode, only this time it is a month!

I for one am trying not to think of what episode 4 will be like because I love being surprised when I actually play it.

  • So hopeful release is the 22nd or maybe walking dead will release then because they have been waiting longer. Still excited for both. I love how telltale makes the villains look like you never seen them before but then add new equipment like the monacle to penguin.

I know this is not the most insightful comment to ever grace this board but I can't help thinking about the achievements and what they could be hiding.
"Home Sweet Home" in particular.....I assume it's ironic and that the manor is under assault but why, how ?

  • Perhaps we get the Episode picture and release date this weekend?

  • If it's indeed releasing next week, we should get something sooner than that. Maybe this Thursday?

  • I dearly hope the Selina-Bruce relationship will further develop in Ep4. I'm hopeful we can turn Selina into a permanent ally and love interest, leading her to leave her criminal side behind. In Ep3 she essentially describes her life as unfulfilling and shallow, maybe this is what will allow her to become someone else.

  • Well that is a wrap my friends. No release on the 22nd

How do you know that ? Even though, the 22nd is sounding increasingly unlikely. 29th is more plausible.

No problem for me, don't rush it Telltale.

  • Well, this is a little weird considering we know the episode had been finished sense about the first week of November, I was really expecting a release date with Batman unmasked, considering we also know Walking Dead Season 3 comes out this month it's a bit strange they haven't said anything, considering it seems ep 4 needs to come out the 22nd and walking dead the 29th, or else there will be another time where 2 episodes came out the same day, which wasn't really the best. (Deciding what to play first, then wondering if I should play the other episode right after or wait a bit so I digest the first episode but then remembering you'll just be spoiled on the other if you don't play now, etc.)

  • It's possible there have been issues of various kinds, and Telltale have a lot on their plate already.

I totally understand they need to polish Ep4 as much as possible.

    I can wait.

  • Normally, I'd be able to wait. But the 22nd is the last day of school before Thanksgiving break and it's just about stress factor, I don't want to play it on the 29th with the stress of work the next day.

  • Sounds like you won't be able to play it before that date. Usually Telltale announces the release date two weeks prior, the 22nd can now be almost certainly ruled out contrary to what I thought.

  • I highly doubt they're doing a double release, so something has to release the 22nd.
