RWBY Volume 4, Chapter 3: Of Runaways and Stowaways discussion

  • So good! I loved it. Blake's my favourite character and I'm so happy to see Blake and Sun together again, I ship it so hard.

  • This is definitely by far my favorite episode of RWBY in general so far. Really digging it. Not sure how to feel about Sun being isolated on a boat with Blake (after all I do ship the bees), but Sun is still one of my favorite characters and a joy to have around.

    Blake and Sun can't happen god dammit

    Accidental spoiler tag :I

  • Still a great stowaway :p

  • Meh. As much as I love Bumbleby I wouldn't lose sleep if Blake got with Sun in the end. I'd just be sad because Yang has no potential mate outside of Blake, and I don't want the blonde brawler to be alone in life.

  • Oh I'm sure they'd introduce a new xharacter to serve as Yang's love interest, if Eclipse happens. They wouldn't allow her to be forever alone, right? Blondie has already suffered enough, right? ;_;

  • There's a gap so for people that watch on youtube the next ep wont be up until saturday 26th

  • I dunno man, Yang's mom hates her, her sister abandoned her to save the world, she lost her arm, to her understanding the girl she's clearly in love with abandoned her much like her mother and now she's suffering from PTSD. I think RT hates Yang too much to give her a new boo.

  • Could anyone tell me if this series is worth watching. I watched up to episode 6 of Volume 1 and I guess it's okay, I just want to know if the plot gets more complex later on than just 'girls fight monsters and save the day'

  • Yeah, she's had a pretty hard life, hasn't she?

    I don't know man, I kinda have this feeling that Eclipse will beat out Bumbleby. It doesn't really help that Blake started blushing in Volume 3 while that cheesy as fuck song of how Sun is in love with her started playing. Then again last time I had this feeling, Arkos died.... ;_;

    Maybe Miles and Kerry are so sick of Barbara's puns that they'll make sure her character sudfers for it?

    Dude I'm straight and if a dude like Sun winked at me like a fucking dork I'd prolly blush too honestly. He's fucking Sun.

    Actually, Jeff Williams confirmed that song wasn't about anyone and it was actually just a song he wrote a long time ago that he wanted in the show.

    I mean, honestly? I'd do the same.

  • If you can manage to get through Season 1 and Season 2, the show becomes interesting and emotional.

    It was slightly hard for me in the beginning getting used to the characters and some predictable cliches. But once you get through that, the series becomes very enjoyable.

    The only reason I started the series in the first place was because it is the same people who worked on Red vs Blue and that show also become really good once you managed to get through the beginning.

  • It's definitely more complex than that. It takes a bit to get really kickstarted, but it's an amazing series and goes pretty interesting eventually. The 'girls fight monsters and save the day' concept is dropped by the end of Season 2.

  • Love how blake's whole character, feelings, look as changed since episode 1.

    Getting rid of the bow. I mean she's surrounded by other faunus but still. Big step for her.

    Honestly the first volume and the first half of volume 2 is pretty "meh" (although its action scenes are really good) while the back half of 2 gets more interesting and volume 3 makes it really interesting.

  • I've been thinking about Cinder's current situation, things are clearly getting tense between her and Salem. If Salem turned on Cinder do you think Mercury & Emerald would defend her?

  • Definitely Emerald, probably not Mercury. He doesn't seem to have any emotional connection with Cinder like Em does, he seems to just want power and he also knows Salem could very well kill all 3 of them. I have a hard time believing Merc would help Cinder and Emerald defect.

  • Good point, Sun and his sexy abs could make anyone blush.

    Huh, didn't know that. Well I can dismiss the song as a crack reason why Sun will kick the bucket.

    I wonder how many times "God damn it Barb!" can be heard in the RT office everyday.

    I'm guessing too many to count.

  • I'm leaning more towards Emerald as well. However Mercury doesn't seem to be happy where he is now. He looks pissed off all the time.

  • To be fair, when have we not seen Mercury pissed off and douchey?

  • He always seems to be cocky and smirking to me. Never angry. The only time I recall him being angry was when he killed his father.

    And I don't think Mercuy's douchey, I actually really like him.

  • Foolish monster. Had the advantage in the water. Sigh I guess it was just doomed to fail.
