Hey guys -
The team is working on Episode 4 - working to release it in conjunction with a performance patch (!).
It should be arriving l… moreater today (today meaning PST, which may be tomorrow depending on your time zone/region).
Sorry I couldn't get to this thread to update you earlier!
I don't really believe it's a "performance" patch, but it's just some bugfix, as this episode is mentioned by reviewers to have quite a lot of glitches.
We'll see if there will be more graphic options or not in the menu.
However, please consider relaying that if Telltale games wants to delay a release by several hours to work on a performance patch to go along with it, it would be in their best interest to announce their intention to do so. I don't think people would have gotten nearly as riled up if we simply knew what was going on.

Man, once I actually can play the episode on premiere day, it gets delayed. Oh well, I guess it's fate I have to play the episode later like the previous ones. At least we'll supposedly have less performance issues.
Since I'll be avoiding spoilers, I probably won't be around forums much until I play it, so see ya on Friday everyone!
Thanks for letting us know. Do you guys have any idea if it will show up on Steam as soon as it is ready or if it will only be downloadable on the next "refresh"?

Yes but they advertise and operate within the UK. Therefore they have to advertise and operate in the UK in lines with UK guidelines.
The ASA has already stepped in when Valve has misadvertised other games, most recently GTA V.
(Edit there is also an ongoing investigation regarding Valve and Hello Games for the advertising of No Man's Sky)

Me with the Children of Arkhams identity... why post the a image of literally the last few seconds of the game ON the release date; like wait a week or something right.
I just make sure I don't check youtube during release days, nothings worst than having a YouTube video have a nice spoily thumbnail and titl… moree. Worst part is they always upload them when they have the episode way before others. Is it to hard to just have your title be "Telltale Batman Episode 4 part 3"
I don't get bent out of shape out on things like this, though it's frustrating as hell, but I definitely won't be playing the waiting game with Telltale anymore. Will definitely be waiting till full games are out.
Imagine playing a game and you complete Level One and you have to wait for Level Two. Or Red Dead or Tomb Raider?! Walk into a bar and wait a month for the bar to load. Or a tomb in Lara's case.
I love their work but I'm done begging or hunting for content I've already paid for.
Remember that the team was amazing enough to release a performance patch the same day as release AND not have it be delayed! Thanks Telltales, Ill be the first one to actually thank you for your incredible work. Idk about these other impatient self-entitled morons who don't know how a video game is made, but I really appreciate you guys taking extra time out of your busy schedules to ensure this episode wasn't unplayable. Id rather have a game come out 'a few hours late' and be actually playable, then to have you guys rush it out at noon and me not be able to play it at all. Or have some stupid glitch that could have been easily fixed with a performance patch. People need to stop this insane stance against the industries they fucking love so much. Its these kinds of 'No Man's Sky' type crazies who dredge up their own disappointment by over-expecting and are inevitably let down by their over active imaginations and selfish tendencies.
We don't want them to respond to every person, we want them to make an official statement admitting whatever happened and apologizing for th… moree fact that they are still pretending everything is normal. One person could do that. None have. It says a lot about this company.
It's out?!

There's a world of difference between No Man's Sky and Telltale releasing an episode of a currently released game into the later hours towards the end of the day in a US timezone that stretches into the earlier hours of the next day for players in the UK.
(I'm just a volunteer Community Moderator and this comment is not on behalf of Telltale, I should probably note.)

Well tell me this, I did buy it from the site, did you?
I still don't have it.
I'm usually pretty good with waiting for these episodes, but I've been getting a bit impatient, I hope it won't be too long, supposed to release later tonight.
You all should calm down. It is most likely Steam's fault, not TellTale's.
Yes, it sucks. But it happens. It is not like the episode won'… moret be released. A little patience won't kill any of you.
If it is too big of a deal, then buy it directly from the site instead of from Steam next time.
No, I bought from Steam, so I am used to the episodes being late since Steam always delivers it last. When I made that post, the delay was still within the regular Steam delay.
Now we know that it is not the case, and the delay is because TellTale is pushing a performance patch with it.
And with that information, we should still keep calm and wait.

Once again, Xbox 360 users playing from Season Pass Disc are asked to buy the episode, even though the game recognizes it as "Purchased, bur nor downloaded"
Step up from "Coming soon!"
Oh wait, my bad: "Haha it sucks knowing that many people already have the game and you and a group of people can't play it and we're mocking you with the threads on Episode 4 but yeah wait some more you idiot"

Due to the fact that currently all of the continents east of the Atlantic have been enjoying the 23rd day of the month for about 26 minutes (as I am writing this comment), can anyone from the Telltale team please identify whether PC users would have to wait a mere short while or some more long hours? I believe many of us would have loved to play it upon launch but this is appearing to be impossible to do every passing second due to the unfortunate state of mind called sleep.
Yeah, I'm waiting as well on the standalone client (bought it today so I could stream it) and it doesn't seem their DLC server has updated either. So no one on Steam, PC and some other platforms have it yet?

It isn't being released today so..... episode 4 is delayed right? Not to mention that it wasn't until about 5pm EST that anything was posted on Steam and that was buried in a forum. Steam still hasn't addressed it. It is understandable for people to be upset about being kept inn the dark for so long. Some people shouldn't be sop extreme granted, but you ragging on people who are frustrated by that isn't any better. Also it hasn't been delayed by a few hours either. Anyways have fun being "better then everyone else"

In a previous comment a Telltale staff member stated that they will release the game on the 22nd in PST. The game has not been released yet but it will before the day ends in that time zone.
Well its almost 5 PM here. So unless they plan to flip the switch before they go home. They live two hours away from me, I'll drive up to the office if I have too.

Hey, I'm very excited to play episode 4 on my steam account, but it says 'coming soon.'
Any information why this is or when I can play tonight?
Thanks, FD
Yes, I am seeing this... Well, one more drop in the complaint bucket, hopefully it overflows and TTG can help us understand why the wrong expectation was set. I'm looking at the website, says "Episode 4 - Available Now!" and yet.... Please c'mon ttg.

You are aware that releasing past 23:59pm GMT 22nd November 2016, is a breach of UK advertising under the Advertising Standards Authority/ ASA.

Wow you guys take it way too far.
And I thought we overreacted for not getting shit about TWD for months.
That's what a tight monthly release is about. Ahhh, remembers me the old Wallace&Gromit days... full of bugs and never in time!
Thank you for the information.

To be fair, shitstorm always happens on forums whenever something gets delayed even for like an hour. So yeah, nothing new here.
I know shitstrom happens, this shit happened in TWD forum aswell. But we didn't get to the point of thinking about fucking suing Telltale for that.
Telltale is based in the US, as is Valve (who runs Steam).

Episode out on 360!

As far as I know, it should show up as soon as it's ready.
I'll double check later today.

It does, it means they are focusing entirely on making sure the product they release is as high quality as they can make it.
It is indeed, but strangely not showing up in game, just in the marketplace.
The game still shows "Coming soon" so us owners of the SEASON PASS DISC are as well as screwed

Hey Mostly, thanks for the info.
I guess I'll play it in the morning. Instead of the Dark Knight, I'll be Morning Knight.
There's a HUGE difference between what happened with No Man's Sky and what is going on with this current episode release.

yay
But surely because their servers are mainly located in the US, the ASA has limited ability to fine or prosecute?
I was purchased Season Pass and now the game and marketplace of XBox Live force me to pay again to play Episode 4 in 360?
Okay... Shame day Telltale.
More wait time...

I live in NA, and it still isn't available to me for some reason. Any ideas or solutions?
I saw a video from yogscast playing the pc version
interesting.

You're not the only one waiting, Welcome to the club. Who's covering the jackets?
Well... we have 2 o'clock in the morning here in Germany... and still no episode 4.
I. AM. NOT. AMUSED.
